The hotel is beautiful and in the heart of town. friendly staff. I stayed in Morocco room, following a free upgrade
nothing really :-)
Very well decorated bedroom with turquoise as the dominant colour. Excellent location and friendly staff.
A very warm, humorous and friendly welcome after a stressful time getting there on a national strike day - unexpected upgrade - across the road from the Christmas market and a late check out - room and bathroom very warm and cosy.
Nice welcome Very good location
Too much plastic plants and stuff in the room Dusty Bed is too soft
In this day and age of cookie cutter hotels it's nice to find a place that stands apart from the crowd. Hotel Welcome stands apart because it makes you feel like it's the kind of place you would operate if you owned a hotel. The staff is friendly and lives up to the hotel name by making you feel welcome. My room (Zanzibar) was somewhat small, but in a good way. It was the perfect place to crash in the afternoon for a nap to recuperate from jet lag. Comfortable bed, heavy curtain for darkness, and a quiet location without much street noise. The bathroom had a nice mixture of oldworld charm and modern reliability. The shower was a bit tight so if you've got some girth you may want to ask for a bigger suite. TV channel selection has a good international mix but the WiFi did not work well from the room - I had to sit in the lobby to get connected. Breakfast was perfect, with a good selection of just about everything you would expect, in moderate portions. There is something about this little place that just makes you feel "at home" and very comfortable. Perhaps it is because it is everything a big hotel chain is not. The phrase "mass produced" does not come to mind at Hotel Welcome, nor do you receive electronic swipe cards for your room. In fact, my room had a skeleton key. How cool is that? OK, you may think it's not high-tech or secure but the hotel is small enough that they know all of their guests so it wasn't a concern for me. If I had to sum this place up in one word it would be "fun." That's not a word that I've used to describe a hotel since I was a kid and stayed at the Polynesian Hotel in Disneyworld back in the 1970s. If a hotel can make me feel like a kid again, I'm sold.
WiFi reception in the room needs to be improved.
Warm welcome charming staff Bed linen
room very small Nowhere to put anything Bed dipped in the middle with no support Tired and cold breakfast Themed bed rooms bit twee
Excellent location for sights and metro, very clean, staff were helpful, breakfast was good and served till quite late which allowed for a lie in room was lovely
The only negative was the bed throw and cushions were torn wouldn't put me off from staying again though
Friendly and helpful staff Breakfast Any problems immediately fixed Location Fabulous quirky room Able to use dining room to eat own food
very helpful and decent staff , perfect location, wonderful decorations
Each room was unique- it represented a country
It was fine for myself, but otherwise the closet-clothing storage was weak.
This place is absolutely unique and inspiring! Rooms are amazing, breakfast was excellent.
Neighborhood, owners, staff, breakfast, location, easy access to metro and great restaurants, easy walk to the Grand Place and central Brussels.
This venue is somewhere between a hotel and Bed and breakfast. Charming, interesting rooms, well located very near metro and an easy walk to the Center of everything. Good breakfast and staff. Our favorite hotel stop on this past trip!
We got upgraded for free, and the room was spectacular. Location also excellent, near everything!
We stayed there on the last night of our honeymoon. The hotel rooms and the hotel itself was breathtaking. The staff were extremely helpful, there was patking and the breakfast was very good. We can't recommend it enough.....everyone should go there!!
There is nothing that fell in this category!!
location outside of metro quiet area at night
The room needed a serious spring clean. The bed linen was of course clean but just look into the corners of the room and the top of the bed lights. behind the sink etc and it was all filthy. loud banging door at night (never got to know what this was) when people are trying to sleep. As a solo female traveller I found this very concerning - it sounded like someone trying to break-in
We are belgians, on weekend in our capital. We wanted something different so therefore we choose this hotel. It is okay but 100 euro it is on the expensive side. Location is perfect though.
Loved the quirky rooms, especially our "Japan " Very cheerful and helpfull, no problem leaving our camping and Packrafting kit whilst we explored the City in the afternoon
Each room is tastefully decorated as a different exotic location. Rooms are very comfortable, breakfast is good, and location is very convenient.
Nothing - but it would have been fun to change the room each day ;)
The hotel was quite unique with themed rooms.
You will be charged if you eat in the rooms and the tea/coffee facilities were very basic (plastic cups, stirrers etc)
We asked for a few extra's and the cost was extortionate - the service wasn't fantastic.. Rooms were nice but would not got back.
Really friendly staff, good breakfast, good location, close to restaurants.
Booked a delux double room because it came with a safe, however there was no safe in the room. Room was quite shabby and could have done with a dust and paint really needed touching up. WiFi signal was poor and kept dropping out. Queen size bed was two single mismatched mattresses pushed together, which meant a big divet down the middle of the bed.
Good breakfast and nice hotel - with intersting decorations in each room.
Poor isolation of the room -difficult to sleep if somebody just passed through narrow corridor.
It's a great hotel in the center of Brussels. The location can't be better. It's on the nice square right to the entrance of metro. We were able to get everywhere on foot in 20-30 minutes around historical center. It took about 45 minutes to get to Airport on Metro/Train. The hotel itself is very nice. They have all their rooms designed in different theme. We had a Congo room and felt really in Africa :). The room was impeccably clean. It wasn't big, but very well designed ergonomically, so we had everything we need - chairs, closet, etc. There was a great breakfast with with a a lot of choices. Also, they have a coffee/tea available free of charge all the day in breakfast room. The staff was very professional, friendly. They helped a lot, explaining how to get to places and where to eat.
I really don't know what to say. Everything was good. I can't say what I didn't like.
