This 3-star family hotel is located 5 minutes from Bruges and 20 minutes from the Belgian coast.

The rooms are comfortable and, in addition to all the listed facilities, they have modern facilities like a radio alarm, bathroom with shower or bathtub.

Our large parking lot is free of charge. The cozy bar and restaurant serves tasty and affordable meals with a nice beer or a glass of wine (bar and restaurant closed on Saturdays and public holidays).

Hotel information

The 3-star, modern family hotel has a separate breakfast room where our buffet breakfast is served. Food and drinks are served on the bar/restaurant's terrace.

The hotel has a non-smoking floor and 20 fully equipped rooms (4 single rooms, 12 double/twin rooms, 4 triple rooms).

Food & beverage

The comfortable bar/restaurant offers approximately 25 different kinds of beer. There is also a wine list.

For meals, there is a daily half board menu (three courses) for EUR 15 per person. The menu (in 3 languages) offers a wide selection of starters, meals, and desserts.

Specialties of the house are the sirloin steak and beef fillet, and seafood dishes.

Vegetarian meals are also available.

Room information

The modern rooms are fully equipped.

In addition to all the listed facilities, all double/twin/triple bedrooms have a radio alarm, telephone with direct line, desk and a bathroom with bathtub or shower.

Single rooms have the same amenities but air conditioning is only available upon demand.

Area information

Our hotel is located 5 minutes from Bruges and about 12 miles from the Belgian coast :

Bruges : historic city great for sightseeing, this city is also called "the Venice of the North". There are a couple of breweries, and several lace and chocolate stores.

Oostende : the queen of cities in Belgium has a daily fish market next to the harbor in the center of town, a nice maritime museum and a large three mast ship, and is the hometown of James Ensor (famous artist)

Knokke : this exclusive, elite city on the coast is great for shopping

Diksmuide : a historic region of World War I and has a peace monument

Ypres : known for the Menen Gate with the daily "The Last Post" ceremony at 6 pm in remembrance of the victims of the war, and the "Flanders Fields" Museum

Torhout : has a museum of pottery, a well-known horse market in June and the Night of Flanders marathon event

Biesbroeck : planetarium in the woods around Bruges

Never got flustered. Rooms were very clean, warm and comfortable, Breakfast was really good. Location to teh centre of Brugge was a straight road, could have caught the Bus if we had not stopped to talk to the owner /manager. Brugge is a city we will return to as we will The Hoteel Zuidwege. I don't know whether it was a mistake done by Booking.com or by the hotel and eventually it did not matter. They gave us a replacement as a double and a single room. For the double room the wc was in the hall and a shower was located in room, not separated and it was terrible. The carpet was also very dirty. The single room smelled horrible and the same for the hall. The minibars in the both rooms were empty. We paid 120 Euros for this but it was clearly too much for this kind of the quality.
