Hotel Ego  

I have been staying in this hotel 2 or 3 times and I am always happy. It is excellent value for money. The room design is good; no cheap furnishings and 20 century tv set, but comfortable bed and lcd tv. It is possible to relax. The location is perfect for me. 10 minutes walk to the center. Possibility to park free of charge. And the breakfast - always a buffet breakfast, no matter how many people are staying in the hotel.

Staff was young, friendly and helpful. Its interior decor is definitely not aggressive as other hotels in Plovdiv - at least colours are relaxing and comfortable. We booked the studio-room equipped with a small kitchenette and had no complaints even though it lacked wine glasses for one. Cleanlines is another plus point. The hotel's location is a 10 minute walk from the main pedestrian street of Plovdiv.

Breakfast is continental and rather limited. For travellers who intend getting around Bulgaria through the main bus station, a taxi is almost obligatory from the hotel (anyway, it will cost around €2). The shower cubicle is not water-tight and you might end up wetting the whole floor if no caution is taken.

Hotel Ego is much more an aparthotel than a Hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It has a hairdressing salon and a small coffee shop open during the day only. Location is fairly central. There are some very nice restaurants nearby, one in particular an Italian Restaurant called Prestige.

Hotel has only a tiny lobby area. There is no restaurant to eat in the evenings. Breakfast is served in a small coffee shop adjacent to Reception Area. Breakfast was very limited. There are no facilities at all in this hotel. No bar, no relaxing room to sit and read e mails. I was very disappointed with this hotel and would not stay there again. Walls are not soundproof and every noise could be heard. I could speak to the people in next bedroom to me, if I could speak Bulgarian!! Many way superiour hotels for the same price.

Breakfast is very minimal. There was a menu, but by asking for the possibility to have toast with baked eggs orr anything else of that menu I got a ' no '.

We liked the price of the hotel. The location was very close to the centre of the city of Plovdiv, and enabled us to walk to all the main attractions. The rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. The breakfast served was adequate for the price paid. We originally booked for two nights, but booked a further night before flying out of Plovdiv airport. Very good value for money

We had two rooms for the same price and they are quite different in size; one of the rooms (facing the backyard) was much larger and had a balcony (the view was not interesting, but it is nice to have a balcony); there was a slight sink odour in the bathroom, but not really bothersome

Well, I was very satisfied by this hotel. I'd like just to point out the presence of blinds to the windows. Quiet place, nice room, comfy bed, helpful and friendly staff. Free wireless. Good position, centre at 10 mins by foot.

Breakfast could be improved, fresh milk and a piece of cake would be the best :-)

Good room with nice view of hill with monument. The restuarant in the park directly outside the hotel was excellent.

I had requested and reserved a parking space and had it confrimed by email, but there was none available when we arrived. I was able to park in the street outside the hotel

Nice air con in nice large rooms. Veryt good location for seeing the old town with just being far enough out to be very peaceful at night time, overall good

On the site you could warn people who, like me, were driving that no roads have signs on them and there are many one way roads around your location
