Surrounded by a beautifully landscaped garden, Hotel Amira can be found in Starozagorski Bani, 12 km from the town of Stara Zagora amid the Sredna Gora Mountains.
Score from 67 reviews Very good
A very good hotel right on the square of the town which was lined with cafes. The day reception staff spoke English and were extremely helpful and cheerful. The rooms had a balcony overlooking anattractive tiled town square, fresh lined, good shower and general room facilities. Breakfast was included and you chose from a good selective menu. The hotel arranged for a taxi to take us to the hill top ex Soviet monument and Shipton monastary at a good price. The driver spoke some English as well.
The only thing ..wifi not in rooms but reception area only but signal was good.
WiFi worked reasonably fast in the hotel room. The hotel is located in the centre of the town.
I had a very bad, sleepness night because of the adjoining disco/club that made a terrible noise. Even earplugs did not help. It only stopped at 4:30 AM. Because of my complaints I got 10% discount, which was a nice gesture, but I would nevertheless not book here again.
Very convenient location on the central square. Clean and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Hotel restaurant seems to be used often for business meetings and other events, but there are several similar restaurants along the square.
The receptionist was friendly and the location was very good. In the centre but not noisy. Walkable to train and bus station
Room did not feel fresh . We were the only people at breakfast so understandably it was not buffet style and the coffee was luke warm
The young man at reception (Deon) was fantastic; his English language skills were great and he was a wealth of information about where we could find attractions we were looking for and how to get there by bus. The room was comfortable and the internet worked very well. Hotel was very close to the bus/train station and had an elevator.
The restaurant was closed the first night because they had catered for a wedding that afternoon. The first morning the breakfast was a buffet. The second morning we were served a plate of food with no choice. There were few viable options for eating in the area of the hotel.
