The completely renovated Horizont Hotel is a 15-minute walk from the beach and the Botanical Gardens. All rooms have balconies with views of the sea, the town and the port. A terrace and a barbecue area invite you to have a good time enjoying delicious food and quality Bulgarian wines. The center of Balchik is a 5-minute drive away. The only slightly good part about staying at Horizont is the price. But, unless you have a car, once you have paid for taxis to and from Balchik (which is about 5 km away!) you may as well pay slightly extra and stay in the centre. I disliked virtually everything about this hotel. 1. Location: the map is misleading and in reality the hotel is 6km away from the tourist information office in the centre of Balchik (as we found out to our horror). 2. Wifi doesn't work except downstairs in the reception area, all I received was a disinterested shrug when I informed staff about this. 3. The 'swimming' pool is the size of a bath and is totally dry - and yet it still advertises as having a pool! 4. The 'sea view' (a la Fawlty Towers) is a tiny blue puddle in the distance, so although it's not technically a lie - it's certainly being very creative with the truth. 5. Don't be fooled by the title Bed & Breakfast. Yes there is a brekkie....but it costs extra!

Amplasarea la marginea padurii , cu racoare in cursul serii si noaptea. Vedere panoramica asupra plajei si portului. Liniste deplina. Camere fara aer conditionat, dupa pranz nu te poti odihni. Parcare limitata la max. 2 autoturisme , amplasata intr-o pozitie relativ periculoasa.(f.f. aproape de sosea , pericol de accident!) Camera dubla a fost de fapt una cu un singur pat , nu asa cum se scrie in comentariile de mai jos. Iar pe fatada cladirii scrie "for sale" ,deci interesul pentru clientela nu poate fi la nivelul solicitat.
