Huijaava taksikuski kun lähdimme lentokentältä rautatieasemalle. Ei tuntenut kaupunkia, pyysi 15 euroa, mutta perillä lopulta yritti saada lisää, emme maksaneet. Vaikea osata oikeaan junaan, koska osattiin huonosti englantia. Juna oli oikea ja pääsimme Kulataan. Emme saaneet paikallista rahaa lainkaan automaatista rautatieasemalla. Liput oli ostettu netin kautta Suomessa jo. Tulimme junalla takaisin Kulatasta, ja kreikkalainen taksikuski, joka toi meidät sinne, osti meille liput. Onneksi eurot kävivät siellä. Sofia on loistokohde historiasta ja kulttuurista kiinnostuneelle matkailijalle. Iltaisin on tarjolla musiikkia laidasta laitaan. Suosittelen perinneravintolaa Vodenitzata Vitosha-vuoren rinteellä. Siellä on tasokasta ohjelmaa bulgarialaisen kulttuurin ystäville ja erittäin hyvää ruokaa. Syrjäiseen kohteeseen taksi tuo ja vie sopuhintaan. National History Museum osoitteessa 1618 Sofia, Vitoshko lale 16 str., on ehkä Euroopan upein ja se kertoo Bulgarian alueen historiasta uskomattoman hienoilla kokoelmilla.
