Maxim Hotel

Ottima posizione a tre fermate di tram (n.ri 1-2-7) dal pieno centro e a meno di 5 minuti a piedi dalle due stazioni di treni ed autobus (per es. escursione Plovdiv). Stanza matrimoniale al secondo piano (nr.202) molto ampia con tv color con canali esteri (anche Rai 1), frigobar, mobilia nuova. Bagno corredato di potente asciugacapelli e box doccia molto comodo e grande. Ampia sala colazioni (tavoli del ristorante gestito dall'Hotel) con buffet direi sufficiente (pomodoro, prosciutto, formaggio "sirene" e cetrioli, pane da tostare, succo arancia, burro, marmellatine, cereali, latte, thè ecc..del tutto assenti croissant e cose dolci). La zona non è così poco raccomandabile come riferito da altri. Per posizione e qualità/prezzo ci ritornerei.

Mancanza dell'ascensore e del condizionatore. Bagno con asciugamani non esattamente all'altezza (prima piccoli, poi non proprio nuovissimi).

Hotel tranquillo in posizione favorevole per raggiungere a piedi il centro della città. Personale cortese.

The location was very good,the sauna in our room made our stay that bit more special.

No gas meant that there was no central heating,the bathroom and 2nd bedroom were so cold,but that was no fault of the hotel..

it was not possible to pay with Visa/Mastercard, consequently the total amount was slightly higher because of hotel exchange rate 1 Euro = 2 Leva since the bill was in Leva

We were pleased with the lovely big room we stayed in with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking one of the main streets in Sofia. The hotel is situated within walking distance to the bus and train stations and the important downtown sites and shopping street, Vitosha. We liked it so well, we stayed there again on our way out of town. I'd stay there again because it is in a good location near the lion bridge and the experience was pleasant.

Most of the staff were friendly and obliging to any questions or service

the room on the first night of our stay was off putting due to the smell coming from the drain in the bathroom also the pillows were of a poor quality and the bed duvets were very sparse,however on our return 4 days later we were allocated a different room which was a lot better than the original room altough there was noise from the traffic on the front road which is a busy road.A plus point the food in the restaurant and service was very good

They immediately gave me another room after my complaints of no a/c in my room and no wi-fi.

No a/c in some rooms, the cleaning stuff missed many spots...

Good breakfast, plenty of choice.Pleasant receptionists, and helpfull. Chose this hotel for location to bus station, as we were traveling further into Bulgaria by coach.

Rooms,especially carpets in rooms, in need of refurb, or at least good clean. More care with general maintainance needed. Our coach was cleaner than the hotel!!

perfect location , near the most important places in Sophia, nice price, good breakfast inclusive in price. wireless internet too in our room

There was no air conditioner in my room, no minibar by default, no taps, no bathrobe

Contrary to description, WiFi did not cover all roms (but I was happy to find a private open WiFi with good speed...). Breakfast only from 8 is a bit late for a city hotel.
