This 4-star spa hotel was opened in 2007 and enjoys a very privileged location, where you can take in the sea breeze as well as the forest's freshness.

Just 400 metres away from the shore, at the beginning of Golden Sands Resort, this exquisite hotel offers you elegant rooms and a wealth of spa facilities for a stay of utmost pleasure and relaxation. For business clients there are 2 up-to-date equipped conference halls with cabins for simultaneous interpretation, one with 70 and the other with 100 seats.

One child from 2 to 12 years stays free of charge in an extra bed.

One further child from 2 to 12 years is charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person in an extra bed.

All older children or adults are charged 80 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.

Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.

Extra beds and baby cots are upon request and need to be confirmed by the hotel.

The SPA Centre Orchidea represents the heart of the hotel, where waterfalls and exotic plants create a divine atmosphere of pleasure and relaxation - almost like in heaven.

Area information

Golden Sands (Златни пясъци / Zlatni Pyasatsi) is a spa town on the northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast, adjacent to a national park of the same name.

The resort is located 17 km north from the centre of Varna and is virtually connected to the city by a continuous swath of resorts and villa communities. It is a popular tourist destination, drawing many visitors because of its favourable climate, the scenic landscape and the reasonable prices. Golden Sands is served by the Varna International Airport and several regular bus lines of the Varna public transport system.

The resort has more than 80 hotels, many of them are open all year round, numerous villas, apartment buildings, casinos, restaurants, clubs, spa centres, shopping centres, sports facilities including yacht marinas, an equestrian base and the Aquapolis water park.

The area is labelled to have the purest quartz sand on the Black Sea coast. Old trees and landscaped parks are also characteristic to this place. Lush woodlands and hot mineral water springs cascading from the Frangen Plateau and forming the Golden Sands Nature Park, turn the resort town into one of the most popular tourist spots in Eastern Europe.

The hotel is very good, the room was nice, spacious and we had one with an excellent sea view. We have had a very nice holiday here. The hotel is not near shore, but it is on the hill surrounded by old trees.

The hotel parking is not very spacious.

All was nice,wonderful hotel,very kind staff,the best.

About hotel was all ok,only some taxi driver called by the hotel,make
high price maybe for the tourist.

- Good area, quiet; although not astonishing from the outside, the
hotel looks very nice inside and we got a surprisingly large room;
the swimming pool with a bar was nice as well, especially at night
when lighted.

- Kind of far from the beach but the hotel offers a free shuttle bus to
the center of the resort that runs every hour starting with 9 o'clock;

The hotel, pool, staff, everything was great. And although the hotel was
a bit far from the beach, it had the advantage of being quiet.

The restaurant (both the food and the service) was really bad. Just as
an example, we once waited for 45 min. For a portion of spaghetti
bolognese. Another example ... we ordered exactly the same dish in 3
separate days and each time it was different :) (maybe different chef
perspective ?!)

they somehow mistake the amount of cashh i have to pay for the minibar, and they make a lot a of cheking an phones for that. the bell boy did not help us with our stuff to carry. the staf of reception was fairy to poor .

The hotel was close to a natural park so you could see the forest on the
right side of the balcony and the see on the left side

The only thing missing from my room was a nigt table but I saw there
were in other rooms

The facility is new, beautiful and with great staff. Excellent services (massage, restaurant, and bar). It is a bit far from downtown, yet there is an excellent shuttle service and the distance is in a walking distance anyway (2 miles).
