Orchidea Boutique Spa Hotel    

The Orchidea is a great Hotel, the bedrooms are modern, tasteful and huge! The staff are superb, always smiling and willing to help. There was a good choice of food for breakfast. They have an inside pool with mineral water which was a nice added bonus.

Best hotel you can get for this price. Air conditioning included in price. Nice radio across all rooms. Good food.

- The hotel is placed in a quiet zone, surrounded by forest. Also you can find the nature inside the hotel because there are a lot of plants in the lobby and on the each floor. Most of the rooms have see view, we had a lateral see view and also view to the pool but it was very satisfactory. The room is huge and the bath room is big also. The staff was kind, and we could understand each other in english without problems. The bartender from the Sky bar is great, he is speaking very good english and he is very friendly (a 10 for him :) ) The view from the Sky bar is very beautiful. The pool is big and the water is clean. A very big plus is that they have a guarded parking placed, so we could leave our car tehere without having any worry. The breakfast was buffet, not excelent, but satisfatory. We had radio in the room and bathroom, and AC

- As many people said before the location it's not so great. The hotel is placed in the top of a hill, so if you want to walk, when you return you have to climb a little...more. So if you have children, i don't think it will be easy for you. Also you have to walk 20-30 minutes to the resort or a decent beach. - Also in our room the shower wasn't working properly - The TV was CRT and very small and the quality of the image/signal was very poor and with noise - bad internet connection

Very nice hotel, near to the seaside. However reaching the beaches without a car is tricky. Staff is friendly, the pool is large. We liked staying there very much.

Excellent place for rest.

This hotel was very comfortable and clean. Our balcony overlooked the pool and got sunshine from noon until 7.00pm but was big enough to sit in the shaded area, if it got too hot. The pool was a good size and there were plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The hotel is really only about 10 minutes walk from Golden Sands, if you go through the grounds of the Nikea Park Hotel next door and through the Kini Park Hotel, which no none seems to mind.

There was not much to do at night in the hotel, so it was necessary to out most nights. This suited us fine as as we ate out most evenings. Rather than go into Golden Sands, we turned right at the bottom of the hill and went into the village of Alen Mak, which is much quieter, with some good and less expensive restaurants and a less crowded beach. No reflection on the hotel but the footpaths throughout Bulgaria (even recently constructed ones) are very uneven aand dilapidated, so you need to watch where you are walking.

We enjoyed very much our staying at this hotel as it was located in a quiet place at the entrance in Golden Sands. For us the fact that there were 400-500 m to walk to the beach was not a problem as we discovered a shorter way through Kini park hotel and then next to Adria hotel. The beach there was not at all crowded as it is in the center of the city. The room was very large and clean. The breakfast was quite rich and in the evening you could serve icecream for desert (plus many fruits, yogurt, cakes). The spinach cream soup was also delicious. On top of the hotel there is a 'sky bar' where you can admire the view from and have a drink or more. For us it was a nice place to end the evening.

- limited schedule of the suttle bus that ensures transfer to the beach and back - the quality of the coffee served for breakfast - low variety of fruits served for breakfast - no wirless internet available in the hotel rooms - low signalisation on the access road which makes the hotel hard to be found.

6th time here. When we want to go to seaside we come here. Even for a weekend break is great. Good food, great staff, clean rooms, super pool.

The fact that the hotel is very clean and its facilities are very well maintained. The quietness surrounding it, because it's in a forest. The outside pool is great, both big and clean. The services for the a la carte restaurant are good and the prices are not so high as for the restaurants down in the resort.

The fact that it doesn't offer the possibility to pay in euros, although the majority of the tourists are foreigners. Also, a small remark, but this is from the generosity of the hotel so I would not comment much on this: first shuttle bus to the beach is at 10 AM and for some tourists this is quite late to go to the beach. Maybe an earlier one can be arranged around 9 AM....

I stayed for three nights, The staff were very nice and helpful,Lovely big room and everything clean.Good swimming pool, sauna and fitness room etc.Excellent choice at breakfast and plenty of everything.The only thing that I think could make this hotel any better is to have a kettle in the room for people to have a cup of tea or coffee.

The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest bus stop and it is all up hill.If coming from Varna train station get the number 9 bus to the last stop in golden sands.From there you will have to get a taxi which should cost about 4 lev but most taxi drivers will want 10 lev.The hotel does do a free shuttle but only a few times a day.For people who like walking as I do it is ideal,just a nice walk home after dinner.For people on a budget, when leaving it is easy to walk down to the bus with luggage as it is all downhill.

Rooms are big. Stuff is great. Prices are cool.

We were very impressed with the hotel. It was in a beautiful quiet location, but within easy reach of Golden Sands beach and night life. The rooms were large and airy and spotlessly clean, also the beds were very comfortable. The a la carte restaurant served delicious food with a varied menu and the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. As we were only at the hotel for 2 nights we didn't really have time to sample the spa, but hope this will be remedied soon as we intend to go back for another short stay in a couple of weeks.

There were no manned facilities where we could get a coffee or a drink when we returned to the hotel at around 11pm. Perhaps this was due to the fact that the hotel was not full and the 'season' had not really started. The sky bar which was advertised as opening at 20:00 did not open at all and the lobby bar was closed and in darkness at 11pm. Only a minor moan, but would have liked to relax and have a coffee/drink before turning in.

Fifth time here. We'll come again. No other words. :)

It is a nice 4 stars hotel, just as expected.

The breakfast could be better.
