The elegant Family Hotel Renaissance is housed in a restored 19th century mansion located in the Old Town of Plovdiv. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Next-door, there is a traditional coffee house. Most attractions are found within a radius of 300 metres. Each of the air-conditioned rooms at the Renaissance's is decorated with classical wooden beds and oozes Old World charm. The rugs on the hardwood floors add to the cosy ambience. The garden terrace is ideal for relaxation and recreation. The on-site restaurant is open during the summer season and serves Bulgarian and European cuisine and fine wines. 50 metres away, there is another restaurant open year-round. The Renaissance Family Hotel offers free parking. A shuttle service to the airport, 10 km away, is available at a surcharge. The owner is very friendly and went out of his way to make sure our stay was great, supplying information and being flexible. The room was comfortable and pleasant with a wonderful location at the foot of the old town and very near the pedestrian shopping and dining area. We would definitely stay there again.

Hôtel idéalement placée( à l'entrée de la vieille ville) ;chambre très confortable et très bien décorée; accueil très chaleureux ( en plus parlant très bien anglais)

Die Lage direkt am Fuße der Oberstadt einerseits und in wenigen Minuten zur Unterstadt andereseist ist malerisch, zentral und gut zu erreichen. Parken ist am Platz vor dem Hotel unproblematisch. Die Wirtin ist ausgesprochen freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Zimmer und Hotel haben einen klaren angenehmen Stil; das Mobiliar ist neuwertig, die Betten sehr bequem. Bad mit Duschkabine. Die gesamte Wäsche wird täglich erneuert. Das hoteleigene Restaurant ist ebenso ausgesprochen gut wie das Frühstück, das jeden Tag anders ist. Die an Tag 1 servierte Banitza war ebenso wie die an Tag 2 servierten Palatschinken hervorragend. Der bewohnte "yellow Room" bietet die Besonderheit, dass die Fenster nur auf einen nach oben offenen Gang hinausgehen, in den obendrein die Küchenabluft geleitet wird. Das Zimmer hat daher weder Blick noch Frischluft. Die Klimaanlage war zwar effizient, aber nicht ganz leise, aber auch nicht störend.

- great location at the foot of the hill of the magnificent old town - central yet quiet, no busy traffic - nice atmosphere - traditional decoration and furniture, yet quite comfortable - the owner is friendly, is fluent in English and very service-oriented (not so common in Bulgaria) - no, excellent place to stay
