Lovely friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The room we stayed in was beautiful, spacious and clean. Excellent location in the old town. Breakfast was very nice and there was plenty of choice. Overall we loved the hotel and plan to return soon.
The evening meal could have been better. The food was nice but nothing special. The service started well but by the end of the meal it was not good. We weren't offered desserts and when we wanted the bill we had to go and look for the waitress. It was a shame as the outside restaurant area is beautiful and live music was an unexpected bonus. Despite this we will give it another try.
Very traditional hotel, reflected a by-gone age, very good food, staff very accommodating
impossible to find! it took me two hours to find the place, the only comment from the receptionist was that everybody has a problem finding us!!!!
the staff was always smiling and very helpful. they have a quiet secluded court yard to enjoy their delicous food the rooms a beautifully decorated and there is alot to see around the area
this is a complaint i have with the majority of hotels : no hooks in bathroom to hang your clothes or towels not enough coat hangers . Our bath was free standing in the room inthis case but close to a wall but no where to hang your bath robe .trivial but irking .
Located in the heart of the old city Breakfast was good The hotel is charming (vintage) Staff was helpful
Very poor bed and mattress (sheets too small to fit, you end up sleeping on the old/ran-out mattress) Too expensive for what it is given the country standards
Lovely old hotel in excellent location in the heart of old Plovdiv. Staff very nice with just enough English. Delightful old hotel rooms but with everything you would need. Extensive breakfast.
The staff was very friendly. The luxurious room was of high standards with an emphasis to the details, but the furnishing made you feel as if you lived in a rich house in the late 19th century. It was a very good experience. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the wine list contains a great variety of Bulgarian and International wines of high quality.
The fact that I had to leave!
Great location right at the heart of the historic city
Sleeping in my grandmother's bedsheets (the bedlinen was ancient!) is not exactly how I imagine antique atmosphere regnerated
Location of the hotel.
Dark, stuffy room with less than effective air con. Bathroom was cramped, had no shower and was difficult to access up some stairs. Very expensive by local standards and not really worth it.
The style of the hotel...the courtyard restaurant. The position in the old town.
Not easy to drive to! Was offered welcome drink on arrival surprised to see it on the bill when we checked out!
Hotel room and public areas were beautifully decorated with antique furnishings and fixtures. It was quiet and charming. Restaurant was excellent.
The drive through the old city on very narrow cobblestone streets was quite a challenge.
Character, Room Number 9 has a bathtub inside the room, gives a real aristocratic feel, great breakfast too
wifi signal was weak
In the middle of the old town; has an outstanding restaurant and great staff. We would definetely stay in the Hebros again.
Fantastic location in beautiful house in the old city-a must if you really want to enjoy the visit. Excellent restaurant. Very kind and helpful staff.
Our room number 5 was a single story addition at the back of the site, hot, airless and dark. It had a cramped bathroom up awkward steps and no proper shower. We were staying in July and I would NOT advise booking this room. I cannot comment on rooms in the main house which may be a lot better
Courtesy, price, old furnishings, location, food, wine
well, wifi was off a bit, but we were sightseeing anyway!
Location, style of the hotel
Lacking basic facilities of a 5 star hotel (no safe, tisue paper), very poor internet access from the room, breakfast could be better.
Bathroom is too small & lack of variety for food at restaurant.
- very friendly personal - excellent kitchen and good vines selection - very nice romantic garden - very nice house in old town - nice breakfast buffet
You will not find a more atmospheric and comfortable place to stay. You are transported back in time inside and outside the hotel. The staff are delightful and couldn't do more to make us welcome and comfortable.
We couldn't fault any aspect other than without the brown Old Town Hebros signs, we would still be driving round now!!! This is not a criticism though!!!!!
Lovely old building. Rooms with lots of character. Good location. Very friendly
Difficult to find
Location, spacious room, wonderful staff and great food and wine.
everything a Real boutique hotel
This is a perfect hotel. The location cannot be beaten, right in the heart of the nice section of Old Town, a step away from everything. The hotel property itself is a living museum, converted from a mansion. Every inches are traditionally decorated and well-preserved. Antiques, paintings, fresco, hard wood bed frame and carved wood bed head go side by side with modern bathroom amenities. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was michelin comparable. There is small garden at the back. Staffs are professional and friendly. They gave us a tour of the whole hotel property which is prettier than any museum in the area. A must stay if anyone comes to Plovdiv.
It is one of the best hotels I experienced in the world. Only eight rooms with a great restaurant, which serves outstanding dishes with a lot of ideas and great wines with reasonable price.
WiFi is a little bit unstable. Old house and it may not be suitable for peple who prefers very new hotels.
