Architectural point of view is the most beautiful hotel in the Sunny Beach, spa, sauna and different baths, then location is right on the beach, the pool and the garden are very nice.

staff is a bit stiff and tense, i do not understand why...

Confortable rooms, delicious breakfast and dinner and well organized seating at dinner time (2 shifts - 6pm/7:30pm and 8pm/9:30pm - you must choose one of them)

Wifi only at the lobby and not in the rooms, staff not speaking enough English and not yet acting as a 5-star hotel staff

This resort truly deserves the name of resort. 5 star quality at its finest. Incredible food, location, facilities, & staff. We will definitely return. Manager was constantly around and available to help. Best resort we've ever stayed at. Bulgarian hospitality at it's finest!!!!!

Booking.com recommended the wrong room for our family size, but the resort manager personally handled our case, and gave us the same price we booked, even though it wasn't the resort's fault.

Staff were always smiling and very helpful. Food was great, plenty of choice and the cakes were to die for. Close to everything and free beach for customers.

Nothing to not like but as it was quite hot it would have been nice to have easy accessible cold water. Room wasn't as advertised but I can only blame Booking.com for that!

Great hotel - beautiful and clean with very nice sea views. Very good location away from the "crazy" part of the resort. The staff was also very nice and accomodating.

The food was good but I wish they had more traditional Bulgarian food items to choose from.

Gteat hotel. Very profecianal service. Calm and not crazy tourist arround you. We pay for junior suit but we get a suit what was really great. The view from the terrace is a spectacular. Great food especially in the breakfast the best breakfast in all of 5 stars hotels what I have been. This hotel is only for people with a good taste and people which look the smoll details and appreciate a luxe...

Ice cold water in the swimming pool. The hotel has a big swimming pool but is empty because no one can survive in this ice cold water. The hotel must use some heating inside. Is enough expensive and if you like to order a room service in your room must pay 15 leva extra....so if you order a botle of wine will be cost almost double. Not enough at all sunbeds on the beach...when you pay so much money for a 5* hotel is a shame to pay extra on the beach because the free zona is so smoll and there is never place because the old Russians "grandmothers" wake up at 7 occupete all the place...

Amazing hotel in Sunny Beach. Excellent facilities and very friendly service. Hotel manager was always present and helpful. Quiet and beautiful location away from the madness in the Sunny Beach center. Buffet breakfast and dinner were terrific in both variety and quality (not good for your weight!) and restaurant staff were very professional. I'd definitely love to come back.

Some minor gripes: The half-board / room did not include complimentary bottled water. First 5-star hotel I've ever stayed at that did not offer help with our bags on check-in/check-out. Cleaning times interfere with dinner and pool closing (staff starts vacuuming the restaurant while we're still enjoying dinner?).

This was our second time in the Helena Sands Hotel. The hotel itself was as nice as we remembered it from our last year, our room was big as we booked a junior suite, it was clean and airy. We were on half board, both breakfast and dinner choices are the best you will ever see anywhere in the world, tasty and delicious. Even if you find you do not like something, you will find hundred other things to satisfy yourself, which our family did.

They do not provide drinking water for the dinner (only for breakfast) or in the room, so you have to buy water for dinner and fetch liters of water from outside to your room, we did it in the evening while having our walk, but it is uncomfortable since you have to carry bottles of water with you. The hotel this size and this expensive should provide drinking water for free, but this is our family’s opinion, which we have expressed to the hotel manager, however I do not believe anything will change. Our big disappointment was the beach. It was bad last year when we visited, but this year was even worse. The first day we went to the beach I was scared to step on the beach or let my daughter play in the sand. Full of garbage, cigarette butts, old papers, even bottles etc. It looked like nobody cleaned it for a year! We complained to the reception and we saw the sand-cleaner tractor in the evening, but that was it. The next day it looked much cleaner, but the tractor never came back, so little by little after few days the beach was as dirty again as it was the first day we arrived. Then there were sunbeds and umbrellas… many of them broken and unusable. The hotel has about 50 sunbeds for 300 people! Forget getting the sunbed and the umbrella in the morning. Although the policy says no reservations with towels, my husband tried to stand up one time around 6 A.M. and went to the beach….almost all of the beds were reserved already! Not sure what time people woke up to reserve those beds. We tried once to fix one of the broken umbrellas without success and saw another man trying to do the same the next day since there are not enough beds for everybody. Guests trying to fix umbrellas and sunbeds ...this is a shame for a five star hotel! This was our seaside vacation and we went there to enjoy the seaside not to just sit in the hotel. The beach part of the vacation was important to our family and it was below of all our expectations….
