Nice, quiet place to stay a little off the beaten path. They have kitchen, laundry, dorm rooms, private rooms, everything you could want!

Hard to find since there is no sign so write down the address before you try to get there.

I have no reservations to the hostel itself and service we got. Perfect match of quality and price.

Close to the cbs/crs and to the all city attractions.

The hostel is like living in a share house, with seperate rooms and a shared living and kitchen area.

When our driver dropped us off, he commented that the area was not safe and that we should stick to the main roads especially at night (he lives not far away). The girl checking us in also said that the road outside the hostel was not the safest, eventhough the hostel was safe. She did say no one had complained before. We didn't have any problems, but it made us rather nervy. There were no local maps of Sofia available in the hostel. We could not find anywhere really that we wanted to eat close by. There was one hairdryer in the hostel and it disappeared into someone's bedroom in the morning and we had to go out with wet hair in winter.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice my stay at The Danish Hostel was. Because it was classed as budget and hostel I was a bit apprehensive, but it was clean, comfortable, the staff very helpful and the location was excellent.

It was a little difficult to find the entrance door and the correct floor for reception.

The number was pretty cold when I arived. For me this was not a problem: I went for a walk right after check in anf when I returned the room was warm. But if you plan to stay at room after checking in ask the staff to turn A/C for heat a few hours before you come. Номер был достаточно холодным, когда я приехал. Для меня это не было проблемой: я сразу пошел гулять, когда вернулся уже было тепло. Если вы планируете быть в номере после заезда - попросите, чтобы кондиционер включили на обогрев за несколько часов до вашего приезда.

Best hostel I've stayed at in several countries.

Well where do I start, the room was absolutely ideal! Most comfortable bed I've slept on in a long time, only thing I would say is the pillows were a bit on the large side, even for my giant self. Cable tv nice bonus for the price and plenty of plug sockets. Wifi was super fast and stable. Towels provided for both of us which was lucky! The hostel had a nice kitchen and dining area but didn't use really. Finally the bathroom was spacious and very clean! Our host was helpful and even let me check out late as I waited for my partner to return. I highly recommend and will be using again!

stayed before , its quiet and again I had the place to myself , its clean with modern facilities , its all that you need.

What has happened to the breakfast you were able to make for yourself , along with the free coffee??????

Amazing value for the money. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

There were problems with the internet, but you get free WIFI nearly everywhere in the city, so it didn't really matter...

Central location and within half hour stroll from railway. Staff organised a taxi which was on time and good price 12 lev to airport

Thought we were to have breakfast supplied but were told that we didnt book before 2pm so was not available.

The kitchen is fully equipped, but we could use only a refrigerator and microwave. The staff told us that the stove, the oven and the computer weren't working. The aircon control wasn't working too. They have only one bathroom. Smoking is allowed on the balcony, so the apartment is often smelling of cigarette.

Beautiful, huge room with lots of space, decorated very nicely and very airy. Air-con and lots of windows. A quiet street, with easy access to all of the centre of town by tram or on foot. Staff were very friendly and worked hard to make sure we had a good time. Bathroom was huge! The use of the kitchen was great - the facilities were good.

The location is on a dark street, which is a little creepy - not great for single women or kids. Also, it is on the third floor but there is no lift - so don't book if you have a wheelchair!

The best hostel we have been till now! Very clean, comfortable, central, with all the facilities necessary ! I definately recommend it. Many thanks to Viara that was so helpful and nice.

Great value for the price. Very clean and nice hostel. The landlady was very helpfull. The rooms are very vell equipped.

I think there is absoultly nothing for that I can complain beside this price.

I stayed alone in a bedroom for two.18 euro. I liked the stuff - two nice women, helped me a lot with my taxi problems! Very clean modern bathroom. great soap smell. Comfortable bed, 2 windows, free towels, extra blankets. It was hot outside, but ok inside even without air-conditioning. Free tea and coffee which u can prepare by yourself using one of two small kitchens (on the 1st and 2nd floor) with cups, plates etc.

Breakfast was bad! They leave plates with cheese, salami and butter In advance, there are bread, cornflakes, milk. Nothing was tasty! But considering the low price and the fact that everything but food was awesome!! , I didn't care.

Great facilities, clean and large room with private bathroom at a very good price. Large bed, tasteful design. Helpful and extremely nice staff who speak many languages, modern kitchen, good breakfast. Close to city centre, but very quiet in rooms. Air conditioning!

Breakfast exactly the same every day. Area not ideal - although within walking distance of the very centre of the city. First impressions when arriving from the central station at night were poor, but more than compensated by the city centre by day. The famous zhenski pazar (ladies' market) is located only 100m from the hostel. It is indeed the cheapest place to buy fresh produce in the city, but you need to take into account the constant noise, smells and dirt in the area, although none of this is noticable from the hotel itself.

Furniture and decoration are good. Also the localization is fine.

There is only 2 air conditionedcontrols for the 4 rooms at 3rd floor. It's not easy to find the hostel even during the day: the door was poor identified.
