The English speaking staff was always friendly and helpful. Free breakfast with fresh scrambled eggs. Extensive menu. An excellent all around bargain.

We had a great stay at Hotel & Restaurant The House! The room had a good standard and the staff was amazing! One of us got sick and the staff came with tea with Bulgarian honey and they were really caring. The breakfast was perfect. The hotel had a welcoming atmosphere, its centrality is optimal for shopping and sightseeing. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We tried the food in the restaurant, and it was a tasty Bulgarian cuisine! We are going to recommend the hotel to all friends and family visiting Sofia, and we definitely know where to stay next time we are in Sofia. A special thanks to the lovely and always friendly staff!

Locaion is very central Price is ok for such location The hotel resembles a mountine house just in the city center Has a garden, which would be great in summer (I was in Feb) Bathroom was quite good (in contrast to the rest)

I was in room 8, which was outside the house, as a separate small apartment in the building next door This is on the one hand positive because it was like an apartment house with a separate entrance On the other hand it had two main problems - wifi signal was too weak here, so no Internet Second, there were cockroaches. Indeed, there was a gadget called "Pest Reject" that seemed to make the cockroaches quite out-of- order - they just laid on their backs and slowly moved legs (the gadget seems to produce ultrasound). Still, there were cockroaches, which I definetely didn't like. The upper bedcloth looked quite used & unclean. The sheets were ok.

Good location near the main shopping street and sights. Breakfast was ok and it was nice to have tea making in the room.

- Spaciousness of room/apartment - value for money - great breakfast - friendliness/helpfulness of hotel receptionist - good location - nice shower and bathroom

- Did not like decor of bedroom (carpet and bedding especially made room seem dark) - could have had a computer for guests to use (however we were advised we could use the hotel owner's one if needed which was nice of them)

I like very much this hotel.This hotel is small but facilities,services ,location are very good for business and sightseeing. Specially, restaurant is excellent !

Sadly I am disabled and the room I was given was up 3 flights of narrow winding stairs but the staff were very helpful.

Good price for such centrally located hotel. Friendly and quite helpful staff.

When booking, you can't make a choice between twin or double rooms. We ended up with a twin (2 separate single beds), when we rather have had a double.

Of the staff we met, they were all warm and friendly. The hotel is in a good location for ease of walking to the main shopping street and onwards to the city's sights and tourist attractions.

Having booked a small double room we weren't prepared for how small the rooms were in reality! It was difficult for two of us to move round the room. There was limited/no space for placing toiletry items in the room or indeed the wet room and no space for suitcases. We appreciated it was an old house in the traditional style and as such 'luxury' is diffcult in small confines, but overall feel the hotel is in need of redecoration and carpeting to make the small rooms feel lighter and more spacious. We accept for the small price we paid it was manageable.

Excellent location and very good value. The room was spacious with a very nice bathroom.

The breakfast was really nice, but it was little disorganised the day we had it (coffee not ready for example).
