Hotel Vihren Palace Ski & Spa Resort Bansko  

For a ski holiday the locations is very good, just a few minutes walk to the gondala station.

This holiday was a treat for my girlfreinds birthday, so we booked the 'vip - Deluxe Studio Apartment' if you are thinking about this room do not book it. This type of room is an after thought, built in the roof space, with very small windows, low ceilings so I kept on banging my head, is not a 'studio' or apartmnt, just a bedroom and bathroom, no kitchen facilities, it has an impressive looking jacuzzi bath and huge power shower - but hardly any hot water! The shower was an unusable dribble, the hot water for the jacuzzi ran out when it was only about 15 cm deep and did not cover our legs and was not even enough water for the jacuzzi pump to circulate it.. We complained, the response was poor, we were offered an inferior room with no compensation, so we stayed and suffered the very poor, very expensive room. a lot of the Spa facility was not working, the pool is small, the jacuzzi was broke, the steam room was cold, not much pleasure there. We ordered a room service meal which took ages to come, they called to claim they had been to our room but got no reply which was a lie, the food was cold and we had to pay a 5 lev 'service' charge! We will not stay here again, despite the closeness to the gondala lift, which is the only positive point. a very dissapointing stay.

Great accomodation, nice large rooms, huge breakfast, perfect spa services (I used everything they offered, massage, sauna, jacuzzi, pool, everything great), perfect location (central and near lifts).

Huge complex of appartments (need a map to find your room), quite expensive massage services.

About "One Bedroom Apartment" - in the same building with the hotel, restaurant and spa so you don't have to change buildings and walk outside. Warm and Clean rooms. Has a Bathtub. Hot water every hour... About "Vihren Palace" - very very close to the Gondola however you don't even need to walk there cause they have a Shuttle straight to the mountain so you avoid the Gondola traffic in the morning. Polite staff.

About "Maisonette" - this was the one we first booked, but doesn't have a double bed, no bathtub, only a shower with no curtains. These rooms are in a different building which you have to walk in a labirent or outside to get to the restaurant or spa. So we changed our room to a One Bedroom Apt. which is much way better.. About "Vihren Palace" - they don't change your sheets or towels, just do your bed, clean up a little bit. Toilet paper sucks :) Everybody says that the breakfast was poor but don't forget that you're going to bulgaria, so don't expect too much, none of the hotels have a good breakfast, all the food in whole Bansko is awful, nothing to eat except Pork, or they suggest you Horse meat!! You are lucky when you find Chicken :))

Verry good hotel, absolutly convinient for a price.

It was a little problem with water suply last day of stay.

It was near to the lift.It has good breakfast and good rooms.

This is not a 4 star hotel. We have booked an one bedroom apartment, they gave us a maisonette, the lights in the bedroom were broken and in the living room there was no heat. After we complained they gave us another maisonette, also cold, and then they gave us a studio. We demand bathrobes and they did not have. We have stayed several times in this hotel in the past, but we don't think we will go again.

Location, food, prices

Cold water in the swimming pool, jacuzzi didn't work.

Location and facilities were very good overall.

I mostly appreciated the nice hotel enviroment together with the cleanliness of the hotel. In addition as this was a skiing trip the proximity to the gondola was a great thing. Very good value for money !

The ski lockers are not safe . Anybody can enter from outside and take our expensive skis & boots without any control /check . Safety measures have to be taken. No internet access from the room while the wifi at the lobby was only operating at some times.

The location of the hotel is very near the ski gondola.

Not very clean rooms. Hotel staff are not so helpfull
