Villa Bizantium is set in a building resembling an Old-Byzantine basilica. It features air-conditioned apartments, free Wi-Fi and an outdoor pool. A sandy beach can be found 50 metres away.
Score from 41 reviews Very good
Amazing location, very cheerful and friendly staff, good food, pets friendly
Wi-fi, breakfast is not buffet
Lovely staff. Annie, her husband and everyone else always go out of their way to help out and are great to have a chat to. Very friendly and hardworking cleaners too. Beautiful views of the bay. The infinity pool. The great location at the peaceful end of the old town, near the open air cinema and the rocks at the end of the peninsula.
Staff were all very nice and informal yet helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable for the star rating and location is great. The view is beautiful and the pool is a bonus. Food can be a bit better in quality but there was enough choice at breakfast and restaurant a la carte had a good choice
location is hard to get to with a car when inexperienced driver as the cobbled streets are not in good shape but there is an affordable 24h parking right next to the hotel so if you can get to the top of the old town with small car and a good driver, it is OK
If I said everyone who walks past Villa Sozopol stops to take a picture, you'll realise how lovely it looks. The staff are friendly and the food is tasty. Couldn't ask for more.
Excellent position in the old town, relaxing atmosphere, wonderful view, right by the sea where you can swim wonderfully (yet beware of the rocks), nice and not crowded swimming pool, receptionist Ani is very helpful and polite, I would strongly recommend this hotel
No buffet breakfast (each guest chooses only one breakfast from the menu), sometimes poor wireless signal, swimming pool is in fact smaller than expected if you look at the picture on the website
Location of the property is amazing - in the old town on the rocks overlooking the sea. Very pleasant restaurant and infinity pool, friendly and welcoming staff.
staff , pool , food, location, excellant breakfast
some rooms need updating
Location, lovely staff
Beautiful Location, very nice Outdoor Pool and Restaurant Layout, great views of the Black Sea and Beach. Very good breakfast, large balconies with view.
Amazing location, quiet, clean and excellent quality-price ratio. Incredible view on the bay from the pool and the restaurant.
Wireless problems, as in almost all Sozopol wifi spots.
The owners were very helpful and nothing was to much trouble. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to others, however would prefer to keep it a secret!!!
Excellent location in the old town. And the only with a swimming pool. The view is breathtaking. And Anna who will receive you when arriving is the kindest and most generous person to be found. Rooms are basic and so is breakfast. This a place in old Sozopol you will return to.
Nothing to complain about
Location in the old town, nice swimming pool (although we didn't have time to try it and it was smaller than it looks in the pics), and bar/restaurant overlooking the sea, which serves pretty good food. The woman in the reception was really kind and helpful.
Our room with sea views on the first floor was nothing like what you see in the pictures. Not bad either, but definitely not anything luxurious, like some comments suggest. Our friends were in another villa nearby and had much better looking rooms for 30% less money (they had no swimming pool though).
The owner was so kind, so helpful. The food was nice and the service was good. The staff was very nice.Overall a good experience
Exceptional view, Great location Right in the heart of Sozopol Old Town, Anna - the heart and soul of this place, well worth to pay a little extra
can't come up with anything significant
Fantastic location- overlooking the sea- nice gardens and terrace
Room rather small- ensuite facilities below standard
Perfect location and very nice Anna! Good breakfast. Nice sea view.
Stunning view, great location! Anna, the owner, was helpfull and nice. Nice pool and good breakfast and restaurant.
We had booked a economy double room. It was small but it would be ok if it weren't for the terrible smell of sewers coming from the shower drain. The bed was also not uncomfortable and the sheet didn't cover the whole madras. Since it was end of season, Anna let us change to an apartment on the top floor for the same price. Great handled and it was so much better! :)
The old town of Sozopol is very beautiful. The hotel location is great. The chief manager Ann is very professional. Her attitude is particular and friendly. The staff is very polite. The view is amazing. The hotel is very clean. The swimming pool is wonderful. Menu of breakfast is variable and tasty.
Food & drink, pool, view, location, friendly staff (Annie & Bobby), shuttle service between Burgas airport & hotel
Small bathroom with stand-in shower (water went everywhere after showering and didn't drain away very easily); bed-sheets were a bit small and didn't fit the mattress properly; we felt a bit exposed at night in ground floor studio as the bedroom window looked directly onto the pool and dining area - therefore we needed to keep blinds closed when changing/resting and would therefore make sure we booked a first or second-floor studio/room with balcony next time.
Location, friendly staff.
Absolutely a must! It's a very nice location, the view is fantastic! the swimming pool is a very good place to relax, clean and large enough for swimming. The woman from the reception is a very nice person and I think she really enjoyes her work! The apartment was big and comfortable, also the balcony. I will definitely retourn there!
Don't drink cocktails in the bar. They are not good, and all the stuff from the bar isn't very professional. They are some very young people-almost looking like teenagers and they don't know how to behave. But this is not an important thing.
Lovely garden/pool area, easy to sit there all day, relax and look at the views. Decent breakfast.
We were in the ground floor suite next to the pool. I would avoid this room if at all possible. Dark and dingy, can't open blinds because people on other side of window. No where to dry towels etc. The rooms above with balcony are at least 10 times better ! Stay in those.
the not very skilled staff very poor quality of breakfast the all day long (bad) music on the terrace
Beautiful, nice people, very luxiourious
The service of the waitresses was a bit poor sometimes
