Jubilee Hotel  

Cheap by Brunei standards. The staff really were superb, very friendly and helpful. The free tour and daily free return taxi ride were useful in a city with a dearth of taxis!

Rooms were dated and a bit shabby. Location is a little bit out of town, about 10 mins walk to the centre.

Weak internet connection, incomplete personal needs like tooth brush, tooth paste, conditioner and no towel for two or bath robe specially the room is booked by a couple.

Broken air con in the bedroom. Brown hot water. Dirty sheets. Smelly room.

Convenient location (even though there is not much to see in Brunei); the free shuttle to and from the Airport with very friendly drivers. Free breakfast that is nicely made.

The tv doesn't work very well; the room is spartan.

Centrally located--within walking distance of the business district. Quiet, comfortable. Convenience store on the ground floor. Wifi internet was great!

Only problem was that when I went to pay, the credit card machine would not work and I had to walk into town to an ATM and get some money. Just a glitch I suspect.

Reception staff were fantastic, so helpful. Fantastic location only a few mins walk to city centre. Pick up and drop off from airport at times to suit you.

I like the hospitality of the receptionist when we checked-in & out. She did everything possible to help us. The location is good also, very close to the tourist attractions. They have airport transfer for free and tour also.They have free wifi in the room.

The rooms are ok but outdated. We transferred to 3 rooms when I finally became comfortable because the 1st room the toilet has a foul smell then the 2nd have noisy aircon the 3rd everything is ok but the bed cover is not clean which I asked them to replace and they did replaced it in front of me but the house keeping lady is irritated. The free breakfast is not sufficient and not a lot of choices.

Nothing compared to the price we paid

the location is ok, near the main sights in Bandar Seri Begawan.

In the booking items, there is free airport pick-up to the hotel. I told them my flight number and arrival time, they also email me to confirm that the driver will wait for me in the arrival hall with placard with my name. however, no driver showed up in the airport, I waited about 45 minutes and tried to find the one with a placard ever corner in the arrival hall because Bandar Seri Begawan airport is very small. I tried to call the hotel, no one answer the phone. At last, I had no choice but to catch a taxi to the hotel which costed me 25 Brunei Dollar, nearly 30% of the room rate, 85 dollars per day. I arrived the hotel and ask the front desk about the reason, they told me the driver is here, I don't believe because I saw the placard with my name is still on the front desk. You know the very reason I chose Jubilee Hotel is the airport pick-up, because the public transportation in Brunei is underdeveloped. Otherwise I will certainly book the Brunei Hotel which enjoys a better location, service & facilities. But unfortunately, Jubilee hotel let me down...

Situated near citycentre, easy to walk to busstation and waterfront

Compared to prices in Malaysia it is rather expensive, but Ok for one night on transit from Sabah to Sarawak

Five minutes walk to the city centre yet with plenty of parking

Seemed to be a smell of someone having been smoking in the room even though I had asked for a non-smoking room

The super friendly and warm reception staff, particularly Jason, was very well appreciated. The airport transfer and the 45-minute city tour were also big add-ons. The hotel was also at the heart of the city, a few steps from the bus station and major attractions. Price has the most value for money.

Though properly and well maintained, building needs a little renovation.

1. Old furniture. 2. No internet. They have to fix it upon complaining 3. They charged my card without asking what form of payment I prefere! 4. Poor breakfast

The hotel is a bit outdated and the rooms need a renovation but they are comfortable and quiet. And the accomodation is worth the relatively moderate price. The staff is very friendly and the free shuttle- and cabservice an excellent extra feature.

You don't have a lot of alternative in Bandar, it's a little bit old but the staff is very friendly and helpful. Excellent free airport shuttle service (it's not easy find a taxi in Bandar!)

Thought the staff were amazing, such friendly people. Loved the pick up and drop off at airport included in price,breakfast was very good also included in price, location was excellent could walk to all main attractions and shops.

Would have to recommend cleaning mould/mildew from inside and outside windows and curtains (understand that it is very hard with the humidity and airconditioners running all the time, but this really is a very big health issue moving spores around if you accidently touched it) Hotel is an older establishment with pokey room but for the price and location and services I totally understand that and was prepared not to have a more upmarket place to get what I wanted. Just dont go expecting too much and you wont be dissapointed !! You will love the roosters waking you up at 3 or 4 in the morning as they think it is time to get up!! all part of the expeirance I say Air conditioner very noisy but We think it may be the first one invented but we managed to get some sleep.

The service is really great. Free wifi, free breakfast, and free bus to send&pick up from airport. Room is small but comfortable and very clean. Location is great, very close to shopping mall and city center. Good quality with nice price.
