The hotel's location was close to various sights in Bandar Seri Begawan and a 5-minute walk to the nearest shopping mall. Access to other parts of the city and elsewhere is easy via taxi which can be arranged by the hotel staff. The hotel facilities were good. Our room (nr 111) was close to the lift, and had a comfortable mattress and snug pillows. The bathroom was modern with a great shower head. The buffet breakfast had a good variety, and friendly staff who helped us start our day! The exchange rate for the Brunei dollar! It was MYR2.50 to BND1.00.

All the staff that were around The fact that there was no shuttle for free from airport and the fact that there is absolutely no reliable public transport in all of the country.

We liked everything about this hotel - value for money - great breakfast - plenty of local and fast food eateries close by - two easy walking distance small mall type places to shop. Hotel staff were as good as they come - just ask and they will help as much as possible. We loved the pool and the hotel cafe. Staff were all very friendly - pleasant folks, like all peoples we met in Brunei. English education has given this country a smart, informed population - well done - we'll be back - Have to return, as we relaxed sooo much - didn't have time to see much - tooo busy having fun right there in the hotel area. Hotel transportation reasonable - no complaints. Funny - when I opened my e-mail and saw a request to appraise the hotel, I told my wife - look, we were just talking about our great trip to Brunei and the Hotel - and here's a rating request..!! HaHaHa We liked it - We're going to send a "Thank You" e-mail to the hotel and staff for making our stay just great.

Personnel is quite helpful when they speak English. People are nice as everywhere in Brunei. Close to night food marker and second important mosque. Newspaper and complimentary water in you room. Nothing attractive in this hotel at all. It is old and looks cheap (the price is as high as if it was Western Europe), it is far from the center, the breakfast is tiny and poor, the pool is small, the construction is ongoing which makes a lot of noise and dust. And common, buy a Wi-Fi router for the guests to enjoy Internet in their rooms (not only lobby) - it is 2013 already!

The staff was excellent. This isn't a five star hotel, but they try their best and generally do a good job. I found the service quite good, and the rooms were comfortable enough. For Brunei, the value was excellent. In short, a good choice. If you have business in Bandar, you'll need transport. There is a bus, but it's a 20 minute walk away. The only other option is by taxi, which can add up if money is a concern. I walked, but this isn't a place made for walking and a few times I had to deal with rather dicey road crossings, etc.

Nice breakfast, friendly staff, spa in the hotel The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, you have to take taxi to get to almost any destination, and in Brunei taxi is expensive and not that easy to find, especially after 6 p.m. Rooms are worn-out, wi-fi only in the lobby and the swimming pool is small. Price here is lower, than in the center of the city, but taxi charges exceed all the savings.

Excellent Gym!! Highly recommend staying here if you're a gym junkie as you can join in the Les Mills classes free as part of your stay. Nice pool too. Friendly, helpful staff. I'd return again Could be a tiny bit cleaner, yet it's totally in line with most other Asian hotels.
