Score from 79 reviews Very good
The staff were incredibly helpful, always, and most especially when we needed to make a complex international phone call.
The decor is charming...very European. Terrace has excellent views of the town. I was in room no. 16 and the bed was very comfortable. Location: great. Not right in the main square but very convenient and quiet. Towels: smelled good, looked clean People: very polite. They even interacted with me over email asking me about breakfast as I said I'm vegetarian + they asked again on check-in.
Shower: went from hot to warm to cold in a few seconds. Breakfast: was okay One annoying thing - I'd asked the reception to call for a taxi to take me to the bus terminal. First he argued with me about the rate, then he had some chat with the receptionist and agreed. He also ran two errands on the way delaying my drop off! The receptionist should've been clear with him.
I have stayed here twice and was very happy both times!!! The hotel itself is very beautiful and the staff are great! I brought my parents here on their first visit to Bolivia and they loved it.
the staff was very attentive to whatever we needed and kept the room in spotless condition. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel.
Especially love the view from the roof.
This hotel is as central as is possible. The staff is helpful, efficient and understanding. The rooms are quiet and exceptionally well furnished. The wifi is perfect. The breakfast is way above average for a hotel of this category in Bolivia. On the quality-price index the Hostal de su Merced is very high. I have been to Sucre many times and for he money this is the best I have seen.
Great panoramic view from our suite #21 and their buffet breakfast was wonderful with a good variety including scrambled eggs with ham- not just fruit and breads!
A little noisy weekday mornings because a school is adjacent but rest of day is nice and quiet.
This is my second visit to this hotel, this time with children. The hotel is quiet, comfortable and the staff are really friendly and helpful. It is situated only 2 blocks from the Plaza 25 Mayo which is only a 5 minute walk. The courtyard is decorated with beautiful flowers and shrubs which are obviously well cared for. Breakfast is buffet style with unlimited coffee, cereals, fruit, yoghurt or if you like cakes and quiches. Room service is available. Normally we eat out for lunch and dinner but on the day of arrival we lunched in the hotel. The food was excellent and of high quality. Service was quick and attentive. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for both couples and families.
There was nothing to dislike.
Many outdoor areas to relax Large rooms Quiet location
The place is in a lovely old Spanish Colonial building. The patios and terraces are a wonderful place to sit and relax, and there are great views over Sucre. It's in the centre of town, literally 1 mins walk from the main square and good restaurants (I recommend joy ride cafe/restaurant , if you need some food from home). Wifi is good, staff excellent. Real value for money.
The bed was too hard for me, but that's my personal preference, and I still slept well
Tranquil location, beautiful and ancient buildings, lovely flowers, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly staff, good selection of food for breakfast. Location is only two blocks from the 25th Mayo plaza.
Breakfast and the hotel looks Nice.
First of all, the rooms are built around a courtyard, so they are very noisy. Secondly, the staff at the reception is very rude, especially the lady in the morning. They made several promises (breakfast at 7 became we had to leave early, a reservation for a cab, etc) but didn't keep them. We ended up in the middle of nowhere because the cab driver they rang did not know where to go.
Great staff. Well located, very good breakfast, perfect place to stay while visiting Sucre.
The staff was exceptional!!! Every need and every request was meet with such ease. It was such a lovely hotel that also had a balcony view that we were able to sit, relax without any problem.
Beautiful classic and spacious room. Very pretty terrace. Friendly staff.
I loved it being a converted mansion that gave the place great character and ambiance. Staff were friendly and helpful. Pretty good breakfast provided as well.
Room soundproofing could be better; as fixtures are restored in character with mansion, my door didn't fit properly so always hearing and even seeing people (tho mainly just shadows) walking the stairs outside.
Great hotel in a good location.
Breakfast was very average with things not eaten appearing the next morning, so some of the cakes and breads are quite stale.
The breakfast was amazing, nice and comfortable rooms. Wifi, laundry, everything good and cheap. Very well located as well to visit the city.
Restaurant and drinks on the menu very much pushed up price-wise, so go visit the nearby places instead. But it must be surely good, we didn't try.
Excellent choice in Sucre, perfect location for exploring the city. Wonderful roof top seating, excellent breakfast, and comfortable room. Wifi worked well. Allowed us to stay in room until our 7pm overnight bus to La Paz for a small price.
The staff could not do more to help. There was a union strike and blockade while we were there and they did everything they could to get us to the Airport through the blockade and arranged an exceptional early breakfast. They gave us a choice of rooms and were very informative and kind. The location was very good and just around the corner from the roof top vist at the Church of San Felipe Neri which is a must see. One needs to knock or if open go in the unassuming door of the school next to the church (closes at 18:88). Aguide for a small fee will take you to the roof. Great views.
everything.....position in town for sight seeing....family atmosphere and welcoming friendly staff. Dinner and breakfast was lovely with a varied menu ....THOROUGHLY RECOMMEND ....
everything was fine.....would love to go back..
Beautiful colonial mansion which has many fine features and very comfortable rooms. We particularly want to thank the staff for their friendly welcome and 'nothing's too much trouble' attitude!
Liked it all
