The hostel was extremely clean. We didn't have to wait for the shared bathroom. The owner was friendly and let us check in early when we arrived at dawn. The 4 day salar tour was competitively priced, great fun and the food was amazing and there was so much of it! (Worth booking through the hostel to get a discount). We also did the horse-riding through the hostel which was really good. Our room was very cold even during the day and there was no heater. The wifi was very slow (unusable at points) and was turned off at 10pm. Hard to find in the dark! - need to turn off the main road and the hostel is set back a bit. (Clearly signed/visible in the daytime though).

Very nice room, internet access ok, laundry service good but make sure you get it back before he realises you are not going on the tour with him, else expect delays! When we didn´t book the Salar de Uyuni tour there, the owner Santos started acting very rudely towards us. I questioned him on when we could get our laundry back and he kept giving vague answers and when I asked a second time he started talkin to me in Spanish (he speaks good English and knew my Spanish was poor). Basically he went from being over the top nice at the start to being extremely nasty at the end. Also, he tries to sell the tour the moment you walk into the hostel but this is true of any place there. Finally, we asked for breakfast earlier on day we left as tour left at 8am and they refused, though I´m sure they would have let us if we had been leaving with them at 8am on the tour! Quite long walk to town

Good breakfast, clean and quiet. Good place to relax with a view of the beautiful landscape. Comfortable beds and hot showers. Location wasn't completely ideal, it was across the river and away from the main plaza and all the restaurants. May not be suitable for all travellers as the walk back after dark isn't really well lit.

The rooms and the beds were warm, very very comfortable and super clean! The showers were HOT and powerful, the breakfast was basic, bread, jam and yoghurt, but good. One of fe nicest hostels we have stayed in, in Bolivia, definetly recommend! The owner was lovely when we checked in but when we didn't book the salt flats tour with him (because he couldn't confirm if he had a group going) he was quite rude and no longer interacted with us which was disappointing...Also the hostel is a ten minute walk from town but that wasn't a problem for us!

A bit of variety for breakfast, it was cozy, nice sunny courtyard, helpful staff. Very clean. Location meant it was quiet at night, although upstairs, you got woken up by whoever came up first for breakfast. Excellent value for money and better than being in the centre with traffic etc in my view. Good cheap laundry service You cant flush loo paper, as we stayed a few days it would have been good if they had come in and emptied the bin, but we didnt ask them so they didnt have chance to rectify it in fairness

We came by train to Tupiza and we were very happy to see the owner waiting for us at 4 in the morning. He was very welcoming. The rooms are very basic and if you have a room om the north side, like we did, its very cold! We felt that the owner was not so glad that we didn´t book the 4 days tour national park avaroa and salar uyuni through his agency ....

The hostel is really nice, hot showers, great bed. It s worth it to pay a bit extra compared with other places. Wifi is available from 8 till 22 o clock. And its fast! The town is a 5 minute walk, perfectly safe to walk around at 22 o clock at night. In the city center you can eat pretty good food, there are banks and local markets. It s nice. Wayyyyy nicer than staying (for example) in dodgy Uyuni... The breakfast is good. Nature around the small town is beautiful, like you landed in a Western movie. You can go horseriding if you like, also book-able with the hotel. We booked the 4 day Salttour with this hotel, it was the best. (Same price as elsewhere in town, they all offer exactly the same). Coming from Tupiza, going to the Salares is the best direction you can head btw tourwise speaking. It s nicer to end with the salt lake than to begin there. We never had a shower, sleeping is pretty basic, no heating, no showers.. just a couple of blankets on hard beds. But you ll survive... Sleeping: as with other tours you sleep in quite basic accomodation. We started in Tupiza, so we started with the most basic night somewhere near the National Park, and the following night was better, and the last night, near the salares in a salt hotel was the best, because it was not so cold at night. And we are here in summertime, just telling... Therefor: Bring or hire a sleepingbag and get your thermoshirt out of your backpack. The tour was well organised, totally safe and the food was ranging from OK to Very nice! Only one evening the dinner was not so good, but hey, that can happen. Friendly guide-driver and cook. Bring your own toiletpaper (as on any Salt tour) and if you like, some extra food or fruit so you can eat whenever you want. The days are long but good fun. 4 persons per jeep btw. Nothing, all was perfectly arranged! And we were very, very lucky to have a great group of people.
