Good location Cheap to stay
I initially booked a private room which they did not have on their system so I ended up staying in a dorm - this was okay. Wifi is awful no connection whatsoever
Location is great, right in the center of the small town, very short walk from the bus station. Booked a horse riding tour with them, very fun, guide was very young local, didn't really speak any English, but we enjoyed it non the less. Allowed us to hang out after check out, and stored our bags for the day. Cheap. Didn't go on a salt flats tour but apparently, the tours booked here are the best value in town.
It was so, unbearably cold. There is no heating in the entire building and it is colder inside than it is outside. Wifi was down for an entire day, no explanation, and was very slow every other day. Run down old hotel, feels quite damp and the shower wasn't great.
Parking two or three blocks away. Call it what it is, it's a hostel not a hotel. It's a good hostel, but hostel it is.
Great tour to Uyuni, breakfast wasn't bad, wifi was fine when it worked.
No heater in the rooms
Location was great and the breakfast was good
The hotel is a good base for the Uyuni Tours, which we did with the same company as the hotel (well recommended!). The rooms are OK with a comfy bed and the breakfast is nice. Cheap and quick laundry service, perfect for before and after the tour. Staff are helpful and friendly.
The two rooms that we stayed in did not have a shower curtain and hardly any power points, which is a bit of a pain. Also, the wifi was really bad, especially in the evening. The second room (number 8) is right in the corridor with the door and inside windows facing the breakfast and common area, so light and noise cannot be avoided. Both rooms had a broken bedside lamp - possibly easily fixed, but it seems the place lacks this sort of attention to detail.
Clean rooms Hot shower Kitchen available for guests to use Good breakfast Helpful staff
Wifi was very slow but to be expected considering the location.
Location. Staff were excellent and their 4 day tour was superb.
Convenient location and price relative to competition
Treatment when you do not take tours with them.
Our room was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was simple but served efficiently. The staff were great and extremely helpful, we booked a 4 day salt flat tour which we really enjoyed! Their mini schnauzer is very cute and a bonus to our stay.
The wifi is very poor and intermitant.
Only stayed for one night. Close to the bus station. Hot water for the shower.
Breakfast wasn't too great. The rooms could use new bedspreads as they had old stains.
The room was nice. We also booked a 4 Day tour to salar de Uyuni at the tourdesk. The tour from la torre was great.
Wifi was turn out during the night.
+ very helpful and friendly staff + highly recommend tour offered by travel agency La Torre Tour --> definetely one of the best tours ever made
Basic but good hotel. Great staff that were very helpful with both the booking of and running of 4 day Salt Flats tour (La Torre Tours). Bed was a bit uncomfortable but definitely not the worst!
Breakfast was very basic.
Big room with comfortable beds, clean, nice breakfast (with fresh orange juice!), friendly staff. We also went on the Salar de Uyuni tour with them which was very nice.
After the Salar tour we were looking to transfer from Uyuni to San Pedro in Chile, but we got mixed info from the office and from the driver on how this should be handled regarding the entrance fee of the national park (which is only valid for 4 days). It would be nice if everyone could get the right story to avoid people being uncertain for four days on whether they have to pay 150 bs again just for transferring (which we luckily didn`t have to do)
Good location in the town. Le Torre tours staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are large, basic but comfortable. All rooms seem to have large windows with very thin curtains so the light comes in all night. We slept ok but could be an issue if someone is a lite sleeper.
Our bathroom wasn't cleaned in the four days we were there and the bins not emptied. We had to keep asking for the water tank to be filled (apparently it has to be manually switch on). Several times we went to have showers only to find there wasn't any water and couldn't flush the toilet in the night. Breakfast wasn't great, some stale bread and jam and a yoghurt.
low price, adequate rooms
Great staff who helps arrange onward connections. Hotel also runs excellent tours of Salar de Uyuni.
They did not honor the reservation and blamed booking.com for not telling them until the night before we arrived.
