Lovely garden area with swimming pool. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
The breakfast was poor and very limited.
The owner was very helpful and m Organised a different hostel for us on day two. He drove us there and also to the restaurant in the evening
The hostel was very dirty and run down. We booked the tent as everything was booked out and it was smelly dirty and right beside the dual carriage way. My husbands side of the mattress had a whole. I woke up after not having had any sleep with a sore back. The butter for breakfast was rancid, the tea awful and the rest which was a role and jam just adequate. The hostel needs some talc and it could be excellent.
Price point Parking available Friendly owner
Lacking maintenance Poor breakfast
- staff was very friendly, our flight was cancelled so we had to cancel / change our booking the same day and no fees where charged
- the garden.. to bad, it looked good on the pictures but didn't really in real life
Very friendly and helpful staff, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for reading a book in a hammock, private rooms are great
Only one shared bathroom, shower backs up, far from center
Closer to the airport than downtown. Very friendly staff even woke up at 3 am to call a taxi for our departure.
Substandard facilities, poor mattresses, mosquitoes in bedroom, place looked rundown.
Very friendly, informative staff.
Had to sit in hall to pick up Wifi but better Wifi then most places in Bolivia.
After a night flight from Asuncion, we arrived at the hostal very early in the morning for only one night. After struggling a litlle bit with the staff concerning our reservation, we finally got a room with a separate private bathroom (outside the room) which smelled horrible. The room smelled very dusty and moldy, and looked outdated and worn. The bed felt like foam-rubber. The whole premises looked deserted and worn out. In the end, the owner asked us if he could transfer us to his second, newly opened hostel Los Tratamundos, because he was expecting a large group to fill Los Aventureros. We agreed, so we stayed the night at Los Tratamundos; a new hostel where most of the things are new and fresh, but this hostel too seemed empty and without staff. Although the bathroom smelled awfull there as well (must be the cleaning stuff or something?), the room was clean and the bed was good. All in all, quite a weird experience. But it is ok for one night only between flights.
Excelent place. Made me feel right at home! The owner and his family were kind and giving. Great hospitality and awesome facilities (wifi, pool, hammocks...)
Warm welcome. Personal attention/interest. Wonderful facility. Good tourism/dining advice. Airport transfer.
Very nice staff, with helpful tips of the city of Santa Cruz and other cities around. A good room with lots of space. Near from supermarkets and bus stops to downtown.
There's nothing bad about the 5 nights we spent at the hostel.
On the way to the airport, Landlady let me check in early as I arrived early from bus terminal,
Room was dirty, Bed was old and full of bugs as I was covered in bites the next day! Place was full of mosquitoes, Computer in hallway was the speed of an asthmatic ant and actually stopped working when I needed it, Taxi booked by hotel was proper dodgy (seat belts were broken) and cost 60 Bolivianos, better to book your own, Walls were paper thin, There is nothing nearby!
Was great for airport stopover. Great staff and nearby market is amazing.
- atmosphere - smelled very nice in the tent - very friendly staff - easy to get in town by bus (nr.56, 2 bs!) - close to shopping mall - close to güembé park (if going back from there use colectivos & then bus 74 as they only have resort taxi and they ask 60 bs.), you pay 5 bs. for the colectivo taxi & 2 bs. for the bus :) - very relaxing - very good price - hot water
- pool useless
The owners were very nice and helpful with tips on things to visit, breakfast was included and there was a nice patio to hang out. We arrived very early (7am or so) after a night flight and could immediately go into our room to freshen up and take a nap. We didn't use the pool because the weather was not so nice at the time, but it looked clean and pleasant.
Wifi does not reach into the rooms and is quite slow.
Very nice atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, owner. We came twice after 11pm but were welcomed with no problem. Tents are comfortable. Great value for price. Recommended.
Only 15 mins from airport. Decent breakfast. Nice staff.
Taxi fare to airport is not cheaper! Same price as from downtown so we should have just stayed there. Rooms are quite shabby.
