Score from 102 reviews Very good
- location - front desk staff - courtyard - cleanliness
- breakfast lady - having to pay extra for more jam, another coffee, - no towels if you have a shared bathroom - being lectured for using the wrong cup for yogurt (I'm not kidding!)
The location and facilities are great. The front desk staff are fantastic!
The only negative is the penny pinching around the breakfast. We were charged for minor extras like extra bread or hot chocolate. One staff member at breakfast was consistently rude and unprofessional.
The common bathroom is clean all the time, hot water shower is reliable although it is electricity powered (beware of electric shock though when trying to shut it down). Location is not the best but still not too far from centre (3-4 blocks downhill) and there are restaurants and shops nearby. I had a room on second floor and even though the heater is not working yet (waiting for government to provide gas, I was told), it was not freezing cold. Maybe the blankets helped. I slept well through the night even when it was -1 degrees. Breakfast was okay (bread with butter and jam, juice or yoghurt, coffee/tea, cereal and fruit) although the portion of jam is just not enough (need to pay extra if want more).
WIFI was too slow and unreliable. Was not working half of the time.
Hot showers, clean (bath)rooms, good wifi, nice staff, computer available.
There was indeed too little jam at breakfast.
We stayed in room no.57, was very quiet. Room was clean, hot water available 24hrs, heating was available however room was warm enough in the evenings, breakfast was simple (per person- gets 2 rolls/jam/butter, a cup of coffee, a fresh juice, a piece of fruit and a glass of yogurt drink ).
Wish hot water for shower was hotter.
They let us leave our luggage in their store room (free of charge) when we went to Uyuni for 2 days. They also let us check in early (around 9am). Hot shower is always available.
No soap in the toilet.
The location and the pretty terraces.
Most staff were not friendly or helpful. Breakfast was VERY stingy. Rooms were freezing.
Really nice place and good value for money. Me and my partner had a double room with private bathroom very spacious. The two men that work the desk ( day and night) were great, went out of their way to help us a few times, I would stay here again.
The only thing I didnt like was if you want extra butter or similar for breakfast youn must pay more same when it comes to other breakfast stuff, they have a list on the table which the not always polite breakfast lady was quick to point out! But to be fair that shouldnt be enough to turn people off its not a bad place
Zac one of the staff members was very friendly and very helpful in regards to directions, and arranging further transport to uyuni and Copacabana.
> nice old building > close to city centre > cheap
> bed bugs \ chinches!! > very grumpy waitress at the breakfast, where you may only take a counted number of coffee cups, bread, bananas... > cold showers for three days, probably because they are renovating on the house
Hot shower good.
Room a bit dingy . They were very stingy on jam and butter for breakfast and wanted to charge you more for eating more than there recommended amount.
- good Location, really clean
- unfriendly straff in breakfast area - you have to pay for extra portion of jam, butter, etc
nice bread for breakfast the architecture laundry service friendly staff
too little marmelade for breakfast
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. It's a good place to stay if you want somewhere quieter to rest.
The breakfast is basic and there's no option for hot food - this is possible at other places at extra cost.
A safe and friendly place.
Good location near everything. Good value compared to price. Extreamly helpful staf able to answer all questions.
Breakfast is really basic. There is no heating in the room. The nighclub in next building was playing until 1 am on Saturday night, other nights were silent and ok.
Good location and nice decoration. Small breakfast in a nice court.
Wifi worked only in the hall and very irregularlyif other people connected
Staff is really friendly and helpfull. The building in beautifull. Room was ok and the shared bathroom was clean.
La Paz as a city has not much to offer, but the surroundings are beautiful. The breakfast was quite scarce. You had to pay extra if you wanted some more jam for example.
