Cleanliness. Privacy. Staff.
Price was too high or such an outdated hotel with no upgrades and a poor wifi signal. It was World Cup wjile I was there so prices might be reasonable year round.
pleace do not go there! the bathrooms (and rooms) are shocking!!!!!!
Staff was very polite and helpful
Very old furniture in rooms, very old carpets, everything looks ancient... and we are not fancy people, but this place looked like a horror movie and needs a serious renovation asap: Washroom is from 2 centuries ago and everything was broken in that washroom: Box broken, toilet flush making a lot of noise when using (like punching hard the wall 3 times... So odd!!!), tube TV, old blankets and towels... well, we booked 2 night, but left after the first one.
it was feezing in the rooms, we got sick, ugly place
The room appeared to be a single, which had been booked as a twin. It was much like a cell! Facilities were very basic. We were there during the World Cup and suspect the outrageously high charges took full advantage.
Great location. Right in the city centre. And it's very cheap. Staff were friendly but only one member of staff could speak English. The rest couldn't.
The hotel was very basic and slightly run down. The bedroom was clean, but very basic. The bathroom was very weird because the toilet was halfway into the shower. Breakfast was okay.
Great location. Historical centre. 5 minutes walking distance from the market, bus terminal, metro station. There is very convenient metro connection with the international airport. A lot of restraunts and cafes near the hotel. Wi-fi was good enough in the room and in the lobby. Spacious breakfast hall. The room is simple: small TV, air condition, fridge. The staff is friendly but only two ladies could communicate in english.
The bathroom and shower could me more nice. The price was high for this room. But it was a World Cup time so I guess The price was twice as higher than regular at least
Rien, nothing, nada
0 star is too much for this "hotel", very dirty. Their photographer is very good
Relatively economic hotel during the world cup
The ground floor is ok but other floors looked like a prison or a ghost haunted hotel... it was so scary in the dark. Breakfast also was poor comparing to other hotels I stayed in Brazil.
Hotel was safe and secure, good common area, near plenty of attractions and restaurants. Could walk to most places, or catch tourist bus which was 5minute walk
Wi-fi didn't work in rooms. Elevators could be slow to arrive.
the location is the only good thing of this hotel
all the rest about the location
Great location and nice staff.
The rooms are dingy and dirty, and the maids don't clean much or well. The hot water is irregular and breakfast is okay. The hotel has seen much better days.
Friendly helpful staff who try hard.
Having to sit in the foyer, to use the wi fi. As no rooms have wi fi. Broken tiles in the shower.
Nothing just the location
Service pricing staff comfort cleaning less everything
We just needed a half-decent place to stay, and this was one of the cheapest options. We weren't expecting much and it didn't exceed our expectations.
The wi-fi wasn't working for a majority of the time. The building and rooms are a bit old and not well maintained... But again, it's one of the cheaper options in the city.
I don't like scoring places or service this low but the place wasa horrible experience. I only stayed one night since was traveling next day to the airport. Place was dirty, rooms need to be restore, halls dark scary, cafe da maña plates & cups dirty. I like humble places but clean. Personnel didn't have service touch, no help with baggage, no explanation of nothing. If you can avoid this place do it. Management of this place try restoring rooms and keep it a clean place!!
The location, near everything, restaurants and bars.
There is a urgent need to change curtains in the rooms (402), the painting of the walls is falling in pieces. The carpets on the floor is too old and dirty. The bathroom needs a facelift. Breakfast is just fair, nothing more. I was in the hotel even december 2011, it looks like nothing has improved since then. Internet connection in our room was very slow.
Tomadas com mal contato.
The size of the room and quietness were a plus. Location was convenient to most things Porto Alegre had to offer.
Cleaning of the room each day was mediocre, and the breakfast was just OK.
Excelent service and fair infrastructure
No air conditioning
the bedroom was clean
the bathroom door didnt have a key, the toilet lead was broken and the box door as well
Very central Good breakfast Basic but clean staff very friendly and helpful Good mattress on beds
Langue a challenge but staff very friendly and helpful
Room size and layout Room lighting Fridge
No kettle-fortunately took own mini kettle! Most receptionists spoke no English. No wash basin plug but I extemporised!
The service was friendly although facing many upset guests. Although other guests complained about the lack of hot water, at least this feature worked fine in my room. The hotel should be preserved in its current run-down state for making dark movies playing in the 60s to 90s (seriously)
The rooms have not been renovated since the 90s, wireless did not work anywhere, not even in the lobby, and the staff apparently was urged to lie about it (ensuring it worked fine while other guests told me it hadn't been working for days), the bathroom with it's rundown linoleum floor made taking a shower an adventurous time travel.
