Matters, no microwave to heat anything (for the baby for ex) I couldn't see a lot, but I didn't see much places for older children. The hotel next to us had a sand box for volly and football Prices of goods inside the hotel is tooooo expensive
Os atendentes da central foram bem solícitos quando apresentei um problema. Ótimo tratamento.
Cidade muito pacata e desolada. O hotel também não tem muitas atividades, limitando-se a uma piscina e um rio de águas termais. Estacionamento lotaaaaaaaado
My wife and I paid about 750 brl in total for two nights all inclusive at this hotel. We thought the price was decent given that we traveled during peak season and that traveling in general in Brazil can be expensive. Overall the hotel is quite basic by international standards, but nothing important was missing. The room was comfortable and the hotel was clean. We also managed to get a parking spot in the hotel garage so we didn't have to worry about our car. We thought the all inclusive offer was also a great value, especially for people who don't want to think too much about what they are going to eat. It was maybe an extra 100 brl per person to get the lunch and dinner included for both days. The normal hotel price is about 50 brl per person per meal so in the end it compensates to get the package if you can. Some days when the lunch and dinner are buffet style the food is nothing special, but if the buffet is closed they will let you choose a la carte and then it's quite good. There are also a few nice restaurants around the hotel if you don't get the all inclusive package. Normally I would say that 750 brl for two nights is too expensive for this kind of hotel, however when you consider the most important and unique feature, that the hot river passes directly behind the hotel, it's totally worth the price. This hotel has the biggest private access to the hot river. Also there's only maybe one or two other hotels that have small private access. This means that you can spend all day swimming in warm natural water in a beautiful jungle ambient. Given that a large part of the river passes by the hotel and that only hotel guests swim there, it doesn't get crowded at all which is great. There's even a little waterfall to enjoy. This was definitely the best part of our weekend and I would recommend it for anyone of any age.
I have nothing bad to say about the hotel itself. I think it's a great place to stay in Rio Quente. However, I didn't enjoy so much the hot park. Mainly because I had a completely different vision of what it would be like. I expected a relaxing environment with many natural pools and access to the hot river. In reality, it's a typical water park. There are only artificial pools, it's super crowded with people, it's super noisy because in every pool area they have a guy on the microphone with a huge sound system trying to animate the people in the pools and get them to do some sort of dance routine. The food inside is super expensive and of horrible quality. You have to pay 20 brl more inside for a security locker and there are several attractions inside that you have to pay extra for. For example, there's a beautiful part of the river that passes through the hot park, but there is no access for swimming, only for scuba diving and paddle boats which cost extra. On the bright side, the area is very beautiful and it is of course great to swim in warm water. Another indication... There's a part of the hot park hotel which apparently has access to natural pools and should be more relaxing. However it costs an extra 200 brl per person to access. I imagine that the guests of that hotel have direct access included in the nightly price, which makes the official hotel slightly more attractive.
I've stayed there a few times. The heated pool is nice, and there is a second one even more heated. The playground and stair access to the river Rio Quente in back is a nice plus. The food is good if not excellent.
Its at the bottom of a hill, and the half mile or so to the park is a steep walk. The reception staff somehow seems a bit more unhelpful than is typical. If you are not a fluent Portuguese speaker, stay in the resort - which is really nice but way overpriced imho.
