Águas do Iguaçu Hotel Centro  

The best hotel we stay in Brazil, excelent brakfest, close to central bus station that going to Iguacu falls. The price is 2.65Reals and by taxi 45Reals.

We spent two nights here for our visit to Iguacu Falls. The location was in the centre of town with only a few block walk to the public bus station for the short ride to the airport or falls. Also handy to a number of restaurants or bars, banks and shops. The area is a mix of buildings, some quite run down and others more recent which seems to be fairly typical of Brazil. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and usually someone at the reception desk could speak English. The room was very plain, newly tiled and clean. The sparse furniture was old and mattress somewhat saggy. Room safe was ancient and didn't work. Minibar fridge was handy for storing our own snacks. The ac worked well however the fan rattled which was disturbing at night in the otherwise quiet room. Bathroom was clean and tiled. Water took awhile to warm up but did if you let if run for a few minutes. Airport pickup was included in the hotel rate and the staff helped us arrange a transfer by taxi to Argentina for our onward journey. The included buffet breakfast had a good selection of baked goods, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and some hot dishes. Outdoor pool was available and had patio seating. Hallways and lobby had some seating if you wanted to get out of your room. Overall I would say this hotel served the purpose for two nights but I wouldn't want to stay longer.

The hotel is in a strategic place, allowing access to many parts of the city by bus, because the bus station is just two blocks away. It scores an a+ at breakfast: variety and quality, not to mention the constant attention to replacing food by the staff.

As a suggestion, I would like to have more tv channels, and especially a better shower.

The room could be better lit and the view from the window was awful, in such a way that we kept it always closed.

Nice hotel. Excellent price for Foz do Iguaçu. It does not look nice when you see it from the street or the reception, but the rooms are ok, it is clean, it has everything one needs and the breakfast is terrific! It has a free car park. Central location so easy access to any places in Foz. It was my 4th visit to Foz, 4th different hotel and I would stay in this hotel again.

The shower in my room was not good. Very little water so it took 3x the normal time to have a shower.

Location, breakfast, Staff spoke english. Cleanlines of the room.Nice large bed

Room was too small, even for one person- couldn't see two person staying in the room- would be way too small.

Very good hotel, clean and big rooms. Wonderful breakfast.

Nice hotel for the money, near the city bus terminal. (40 min with public bus to the falls) Friendly staff, most of reception staff can speak some English. Good breakfast buffet, okay small pool area with clean pool water.

We like the friendly and helpful staff, the location and the fact that a travel agent for booking excursions is situated in the Hotel. Also that some of the staff and travel personnel can speak English, because we experience that most of the people in Brazil is not able to speak English..... (Which is very bad for tourism !!!)

Good breakfast. Close to shops and bus station. Wi-fi complimentary and good connection.

Tea/coffee facilities would have been useful.

We loved staying at this hotel. It was great after a hot day visiting the Iguazu Falls to be able to come back and have a dip in the pool. The hotel staff were excellent and very helpful, those behind the hotel desk and the tourist desk (who we booked a tour with to see the Argentinian side of the Falls with and would 100% recommend). The rooms were clean, reasonably spacious and had cable. Plus the hotel does an amazing breakfast that's worth getting up early for. The hotel is in a great location within Foz although in Foz itself there aren't too many nice places to wander around. The hotel give great restaurant suggestions though. Would definately recommend.

It is an excellent hotel, very nice and comfortable rooms, good buffet breakfast and nice and helpful staff.I cannot think of any complaints from this hotel.
