The staff was very helpful thought she could not speak English.

Mattress of the bed was not at all comfortable. It's would be better to provide a cattle for hot water in the room. There was no socket in the room to put the charger.

Well equipped room, with excellent shower, cable television, fast internet, fridge and air conditioning. Helpful and pleasant staff. The hostel is right next to the base of the Escadaria Selarón, which has a seemingly constant police presence.

I liked the free wi-fi and the presence of a stocked fridge, cable tv and the air conditioning. The hotel is situated in a very central area close to all amenities and transport routes.

I did not use the stock of any drinks in the fridge. Water was not free and there was no complimentary drinks or a dining room. The area in which the hotel is found is a bit local and rundown

It was ok, air conditioning was working very well and the bathroom was nice. Location is Lapa, so at night better not to go out alone.

It's a good place to live for a week or two if you don't mind some lack of comfort. Excellent district (centro). At first it seems that it's very dangerous in this area (mainly because of graffiti everywhere and old houses), but don't be scared, it's not true at all. Almost all staff is very very nice, speak English and Spanish! :)

Book the room only if you can sleep without pillows and good mattress, because they are made of some kind of plastic and when it's hot you just sleep in a pool. Anyway, one useful tip for this hotel - use towels as second sheets or pillows, it helps a lot. No breakfast at all. Be extremely careful with this hotel! I arrived at night and have only dollars (not reais), and I made a reservation 4 months ago, but man at reception didn't want to give me a room because they don't accept $$ and almost all my cards were blocked that time for security reasons. He didn't allow me to wait until tomorrow to exchange money and said 'go away', despite that fact that I showed him money enough to pay for all period of staying. Thanks God, I had some money on one of my card to pay for 1 day of staying, otherwise I could be sleeping on the street with tramps :D It's been the first hotel in the world for me which makes something like this.

Location is very good if you are planning to have a night out in Lapa (which is why we chose it). At first glance, the road leading to the hotel is a bit intimidating but you'll soon learn that as long as you keep to be a careful traveler, it is actually quite safe with the amount of people being out on the streets til late. Staff was excellent. Very helpful and spoke good English. The room was clean and well maintained. It is of course a budget hotel so don't expect much but had all the basic necessities; hot shower, air conditioning, hair dryer, safety box, clean beddings etc. Overall satisfied with the value for money

Especially two woman of reception were so nice and friendly. We were too early for check-in and they accepted earlier before check-in.

Pillows are not real pillows and bed was really uncomfortable.

The location in Lapa is at night a bit scary. The hotel itself would require a renovation and the rooms itself are not comfortable. The mattress was old and the cleanness is questionable.

Hotel Americano is conveniently located in the Lapa area with hectic wildlife and at the same time is deprived of the city noise

The staff do not understand English

The loction in the heart of Lapa district and the living atmosphere around are great Security seems to be okay and the reception is very cautious not to allow other people than customers to enter.

I'm not familiar with prices of hotels in Rio, but I found the ratio price/quality not very good. People willing to book must be aware this is a very simple, though clean and friendly managed, place. Rooms are small.

Air conditioners in both rooms lacked dials,room poorly cleaned,old,threadbare sheets and pillows,well worn carpet.

O atendimento dado pelas atendentes é muito amistoso. A limpeza dos quarto foi feita de modo preciso. Para quem gosta de bares, a proximidade da região boêmia da Lapa, o hotel está muito bem localizado, bastando alguns minutos de caminhada.

O acesso aos 2º e 3º andares é feito por uma escada antiga, de madeira, coberta de carpete. O aspecto é um tanto "sinistro". Pode melhorar.

Personelin yaklaşımı iyi...her zaman yardımcı olamaya çalışıyorlar. Oda temizliği gayet iyi, hergün temizlik yapılıyor. Banyo temiz ve kullanışlı. tv, klima ve mini buzdolabı var. Otelin bulunduğu konum güvenli ve sakin...Şehir merkezine, metro ve otobüs duraklarına oldukça yakın.

Yataklar konforlu değil fakat idare eder.

ótima localização bem próximo ao arco da Lapa, da escadaria de Selaron.

Instalação bem antiga necessita de reforma, cheiro muito forte e banheiros sem ventilação.

Gostei da localização e do preço.

Que me perdoe as atendentes que foram todos muito delicadas, mas minha reclamação e da camareira que estava na quarta (dia 01/05) a noite, assim que cheguei, uma Senhora muito sem educação, que se nao fosse o fato de eu ja ter pago tinha ido embora, acredito que jamais eu volte tendo em vista a falta de educação da Senhora que so faltou mandar eu calar a boca.

O atendimento e a limpeza. Quarto e banheiro limpos, roupa de cama e toalhas limpas e cheirosas. O local sossegado, dormi muito bem. A TV funcionando bem. Frigobar abastecido.

No hall tinha lustre, no quarto(303) a lâmpada estava pendurada pelo fio e dava pra notar emendas de fita isolante, o que pode ser um risco de curto circuito; falta também um interruptor na cabeceira para não precisar levantar pra apagar a luz;deveria haver uma colcha ou um edredon disponível, de madrugada senti um pouco de frio e me cobri com uma toalha de banho; Os travesseiros são péssimos; a roupa de cama gasta, mas limpa e cheirosa. O aspecto externo assusta um pouco, os corredores e escadas também, mas o quarto estava em bom estado. Se eu fosse procurar no local, olhando de fora eu não entraria, poderiam melhorar o exterior, a recepção e os corredores que tem um pouco de cheiro de mofo. Passei somente uma noite, e no geral foi razoável.

Localização do hotel perfeita para nossa estadia na cidade,próximo ao centro.Atendimento excelente por parte das recepcionistas.

Pouquíssima qualidade das roupas de cama e colchão. O banheiro não estava muito bem acabado, o forro estava quebrado. A localização vale a pena se for para ir a show ou evento na Lapa pois pode ser perigoso e desagradável durante o dia.

Amei a estrutura do Hotel. A recepcionista é bem simpática, o hotel é bem asseado. A localização do hotel me agrada muito. Próximo ao bairro da Lapa e metrô bem próximo.

Sempre que faço o check in há divergencias em relação ao valor da estadia. Quando faço a reserva, deixo bem claro que o quarto é para casal. No entanto, sempre tenho que pagar um outro valor pois o quarto me reservado é duas camas e nao para casal...pessoal...vamso se ligar.

Da localização

Péssimas instalações, velho sem conservação, sujo e o ar não funciona... Um relaxo.
