hotel staff rude as well as kind of shady. Bellman tried telling us our tour was not worth it and that we should just go in a cab with his brother for the same price. |

It's near to he copacabana beach, this is the most relevant point. A little boring, just to get a room to go to bed, nothing special. (Personal opinion, not neccesary some against the hotel) |

Location and decent value for money I think it was rated at a 2 and a half star but in reality it should be only a 2 star. The rooms are of very old decor, the shower did not work propelry, etc, etc which you might expect of a 2 star but not any higher. |

English speaking staff (a rarity in Brazil). Wifi in room. Reasonable location. Reasonable breakfast inline with average brasil standards. Friendly staff. Very noisy rooms. We were on 5th floor but noise from traffic so intense that even earplugs dont work. If you need to use aircon (which we did not thankfully) it is unbearably noisy (in 6 months of budget travel asia included, it was the worst). Price considering the above, but make no mistake rio prices are high and the quality is low. God help if they win the olympics. Area a bit seedy sometimes (I had attempted mugging on very busy street at 6.30pm) |

I didn't like the weekly fee because you would think you would pay your fees afterwards |

Considering we paid 80USD we were expecting a hotel with better condition of room. Toilet seemed to have issues. It is pricey for a backpacker kind of hotel. |

Room was pretty large and clean although somewhat worn-out. Breakfast variety was not large but definitely ok for the price. Free wireless internet connection in the room was pretty good. Friendly and attentive staff. Could be recommended to someone looking for a good performance/price ratio but not too picky about the comfort. Room was very noisy since it was facing a busy street thus better sound-proofed windows would be highly desirable (though sleeping with the earplugs solved the problem completely). I guess this might be a problem for most of the rooms in this hotel (but also for many of the hotels elswhere in Copacabana too). |

I liked being so close to the beach, and that the street noise was shut out by the windows. I liked our big room, with table and desk. I felt it was good value for money, and the room service was good. Many of the staff spoke English, and were very helpul. Guest reviews said the windows were badly sealed, and let a lot of noise in. I was worried about this before I stayed in the hotel, but was pleasantly surprised. Have the windows been replaced recently? There was only one kind of cereal at breakfast. I like to eat Granola. The lift is small and the corridors are narrow, but there is nothing that can be done about these features. We just accepted this as part of the hotel. |

Excellent position in Copacabana, 10 min. from the beach.Very close to everything in the city also metro. When they saw that we had so many luggages , they give us after 5 minutes staying in a little room(they called us from the reception!!) a bigger room that was very OK. Tha street is noisy, but if you a very tired after 1 day in Rio , sleeping is no problem. |
