Score from 980 reviews Excellent
i loved having breakfast looking at the harbor área and eating some specialities made in the hotel
it is near a dangerous área at night, but people have to make sure they don´t carry valuable objects and be aware of any strange approach
Lovely boutique hotel in the Pelourinho area, tastefully done with class, care and attention. Excellent staff and reception staff extremely helpful and keen to recommend venues and good places to go to. Our stay was extremely enjoyable in this magical and musical suburb of Salvador in Bahia.
The rooms could have had an Ipod player perhaps and the breakfast area balcony is smallish but it is because this old and lovely house has been converted into a stylish boutique hotel so limited in width and surface area. In terms of Pelourinho/ Santo Antonio location the hotel is 10minutes walking distance from Central Pelourinho hence the good location comment.
The view: Great look out to the bay The decor: interesting details from the artwork to the religious themed the bathroom The staff: very friendly and helpful Plus a great breakfast daily with traditional Brazilian fare.
We thought our room would have a private balcony, but it was with the shared pool. Not really a big deal since it's such a small place, but it would've been nice to have that privacy. Also--this is more of a thing we didn't like about Pelourinho in general--was the emphasis on being careful (not walking around after 8p or carrying our smartphone) made us feel very on edge and while we know it was meant to make us safe and vigilant, it didn't allow for us to really relax when out and about.
Concept and staff
The hotel is excellent, excellent staff, all the time they are trying to make you fell fine. They are worried all the time about you and your confort. The people in the city is very nice and the hotel is close to the Pelourinho. The hotel has som plans in which you can know a little bit more about city.
Salvador is not as safety as I would like. Nothing happen to us, but you can not walk at night around the city and in some parts of the city you can not even walk during the day.
The panorama room is amazing. Breathtaking views of both harbour and city. Great breakfast. Very friendly staff. Fantastic location.
location of the place great we had the sea view and city view room :) room extremely comfortable and clean. the staff are very nice...anrike and baia are great... breakfast was great and very recommended... i would go back to Aram Yamí Boutique Hotel for sure :)
Lovely staff, they really take care of you and your safety, amazing breakfast and well respected privacy
Position is good but necessary to take a cab in the evening/night to avoid potential problems, found a beatle in the room (probably coming from the bathroom), not a great experience but it may happen!
Fantastic staff that made you feel like part of the family. Wonderful advise on what to see and where to go. We had the pool to ourselves one afternoon and it will remain as one of the nicest memories. Be brave and get out of the bigger chain hotels - you will not be disappointed.
Having to leave - will travel back to stay there again...
Wonderful design and interesting rooms Very friendly and knowledgable staff Great breakfast
About 10mins walk from the centre of town
STAFF: the friendlinest and most helpful on our trip; and I mean really ALL with this comment; from the welcome at our late arrival, our overstay of the planned breakfast time (we simply slept too well), providing tipps at all times, coming home chats as well giving honest feedback on security questions (the hotel even lends mobile phones - worth 100 Reais in case it gets lost); Unfortunately we did not go to the world cup match on our last day but also the organisation of a shuttle etc seemed to be perfect. ROOMS: we expanded our stay and changed rooms (I indeed was too curious to see another one): the first one was the one without sight on the entrance level floor - high - really high - ceilings and a charming little chamber (curtains) with a separate bed on the 2nd level; I guess little princesses travelling with their parents would have their time of their live there; only little thing - I needed to turn off the light of the Jesus statue in the entrance area.
;-) that I needed to leave again
I arrived quite early on my day of arrival and super exhausted. Upon arrival, they served me with a nice plate of fruits to fill me up so that I can be ready to go on to my FIFA world cup match on that day. View on the bay is nice too. Location in the old city is nice too. In the neighbourhood, you can feel what Brazil is about. Henrique, the girls and everyone are amazing. I will come back next time I pass by Salvador.
The staff were excellent. They will be expecting you and will welcome you with an excellent glass of refreshing coconut water. First name basis, they provide tourist with a detail orientation of the old historical town as well as do's and dont's, restaurant recommendations. They even loan you with a local phone to use when in town. Room was excellent, chic, classy and comfortable. List goes on and on.
First impression when you get to the place, but don't let the outside deceive you, the moment you get greeted at the door you know you have made a good decision.
In the heart of the old town
mostly the kindness and professionalism of its staff
the weather (our stay happened to coincide with the short rainy season of the year)
Every one we met at the hotel was friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. The breakfast was wonderful. Our room was amazingly, and wonderfully different from the chain hotels I stayed at everywhere else on this trip. We loved the minature pool on our balcony overlooking the bay. Unfortunately it rained most of the time and we weren't really able to make use of it.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel again.
I didn't have a wi-fi signal in my hotel room, which was inconvenient.
the staff was sincere and amicable. they are what makes this hotel the gem that it is. Claudio, Leoandro, Enrique and one other guy who's name escapes me deserve raises.
Aram yami was AMAZING! The only regret we had was that we couldn't stay longer! The staff was extremely accommodating and their attention to detail far surpasses any four seasons! A must stay if your looking to visit the historic upper city of Salvador!
The only thing we wished was that they had more food options, so we wouldn't have had to leave the hotel!
Every single member of the staff, none excluded (from the maintenance boy to the manager)! Friendly, gentle, discrete...(and english speaking) Just 5 rooms (soon to be 6) and 2 pools with a great view on the sea. Great taste in decorating the rooms and the common spaces. Sincerly, the best money for value hotel we have ever seen (and we saw A LOT of hotels).
Staff was incredibly friendly; breakfasts were outstanding and the overall experience was very gratifying
We had a room with a large patio and an infinity pool which was also open to other guests until 10. Awesome! Great staff. Super breakfasts. 20 minute walk to historic center. CDs at Cana brava. Dinner, Axego
I hated the panoramic tour they recommended. 3 1/2 hours driving around every neighborhood in Salvador. Stupid and uncomfortable. Get a cultural guide for the Pelourinho.
Fantastic staff, great breakfast, nice rooms... generally a great place to stay in Salvador
Very friendly and helpful staff.A lovely room at the top..bright airy with great views .
Boutique hotel with great views & fantastic staff. Home made breakfast is a must!
