It was a very nice hotel in a great Area central for everything Hotel was well decorated and very modern Not much of a swimming pool but the rest was really good I work in Brazil and if I need to stay in Rio again I will deffinatly go back.

Only thing I wasn't happy with was that I spoke to Debhora at the hotel to arrange a tour and she promised to send me a form to fill in so I could book it but after 7 or 8 emails still no reply but the hotel arranged me a Taxi with a driver who spoke very good English and he gave us a personal tour which was much better anyway .

Excellent views of the beach. Fantastic roof top bar with views of Sugarloaf and Christ the Redeemer. Knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Wifi was not free - the only hotel of our 4 stop trip not to have it.

Good room

Breakfast was inlcuded but was a bit cheap. I booked the most expensive suite rooms and still had to pay 30 reals for the internet.

Very nIce room, i chose the one with the beach view. Very nice location.

The staff, more directly, for the guys who clean the rooms, for three times i had to call them to clean my room two times when i got back to the hotel, late at evening, and another because i knew they wouldnt clean it. The breakfast was good, but i think it could be richer than that.

Some front of house staff not particularly helpful. No concierge the biggest issue as we had trouble getting the information we needed. Reception weren't overly keen on booking things on our behalf. Admin staff messed up the booking, couldn't initially get our payment authorised and then cancelled the booking accidently. No apology or offer of compensation.

The Arena Copa is very well situation in the middle of the Copa beach and has a very lovely roof terrace. The staff is friendly and the facilities are o.k. For a hotel in Brasil I would give it a good rating, as there was not much to complain about.

If you are used to hotel only in Brasil, you will happy with the Arena Copa, but if you do expect the price/value relation at international standards, you are welcome to Brasil. With an average of USD 250 a night, you get just something basic, where in Singapore you would get a luxury suite. But thats the way how it is all over in Brasil, not only Rio.

This hotel exceeded our expectations . The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us in every possible way . The highlight of our stay was meeting the office manager Deborah who really loves both her job and her city and it showed ! Nothing was too much for her to do to make the guest's stay as enjoyable as possible . The hotel is in a prime position overlooking Copacabana Beach with a roof top terrace , pool and bar with a spectacular view over the bay and also lets you view Corcovado and the figure of the famous statue of Christ , the Redeemer . Excellent buffet breakfast and we would definitely stay there again .

We stayed in this hotel twice, once for 5 nights when we arrived and on the way back for 2 nights. Both times were excellent. Staff are helpful and speak good English, the rooms are clean and modern and the location is brilliant right in front of Copacabana beach.

Great view, great roof top balcony with bar and small pool. Gym had a lovely view of the beach. Friendly English speaking reception during the day. Room spacious and clean with all mod cons. Fabulous location.

Breakfast. Coffee not nice. Overpriced city tours and Samba show. The hotel has a ridiculous mark up on organising city tours and Samba Shows. Watch out for the hidden extras and tax which are not made very clear on booking. This makes the hotel expensive.

Excellent location and very attentive staff. Breakfast was included and was ok.

If you go there to celebrate a New Year, don't buy the New Year's Eve dinner option. We bought it for us$ 500.00 per person and felt being scalped because the food was absolutely tasteless (shrimps and lobsters tasted like a hospital chicken breast stew, no salt and no seasoning at all), wine was average quality. So their dinner would cost not more than us$ 100.00 per head in any honest us or Europe restaurant. At 11 P.M., they closed the restaurant and sent us to the penthouse, where supposedly would have a cocktail (included in the us$ 500.00 per head), but there was a problem: it was raining. The solution? They gave us plastic raincoats!! And the cocktail consisted only of drinks (no food, no hors d'oeuvres). This was very disappointing, because they knew it was going to rain at midnight (in fact it was raining all day, as it's normal in this season in Rio). At least they should installed a tent in the Arena Copacabana's New Year's Eve dinner = tourist rip-off.

Good location and modern hotel.

The location was excellent. The price was very reasonable. We felt very safe and secure. There were outstanding views from the pool area on the roof (14th floor).
