All staff courteous and attentive,any problem attended to very promptly.

Towels supplied to room had seen better days

Nothing fancy but Its a good value for a beach front location. Staff is friendly if you are!

Internet charges are ridiculous. Rooms are small. Fitness room is a bike and a treadmill.

The sea view superior room Was value for money and the views from the roof top were amazing.

The roof top pool are is a little small however what I didn't like is the amount of times I had to ring reception to get someone to come up to the roof top bar.

The location. Right opposite Copacabana.

The staff were a mixed bag. Some were very friendly and others were dismissive. The hotel is not cheap but the decor needs a bit of a touch up and is a little lacklustre.

I love the placement of the hotel

I think that price is too high and is not at all in accordance with the services of the hotel. The stuff is not friendly and they spend a lot of time to anwser you or to give you the bill. Of course, they will try to invoice you a lot of services and beverage that you never take. The breakfast was poor and always the same despite a huge variety of Brazilian fruits. After one week spent in the hotel I have only the bad souvenirs of the lowest quality hotel that I never seen.

On the Internet the picture of the room was located on the beach front. When I got there I was located at the back of the hotel. No beach view. That's illegal in my country and there was no LCD tv like it said. I asked if I could refund on arrival and I couldn't. Just bad business... I will never stay at an Astoria hotel again.

The front staff were unpolite The online booking was bad. It is stated in the print-out for booking that I paid with my visa card three nights staying. The hotel staff said that one night was only paid. I argued for minutes this issue. The whole thing was a mess

The location in Copa is great, close to restaurants and right across from the beach. The pool upstairs is the typical size for a roof top hotel in Brazil; small. My two young sons enjoyed it though. It was clean and the patio was great. The view is beautiful from the patio on the 14th floor.

The front desk staff is incredibly rude. They acted as they were put out by checking in guests. The rooms are tiny, the photos are deceiving and not what you get at all. The towels are old and dingy. The sheets and pillows were stained.

Very unfriendly reception desk, auful noise from air conditioner, internet is not free and connection is very slow and unstable, we were asked to leave breakfast table before we finished.

Right on the beach. Nice pool and bar on the roof terrace. Good breakfast. Big room if you pay extra for the deluxe sea view.

A bit soleless, but ok if you're not after a place with character.

Perfect location on Copacabana Beach, very good breakfast, spacious triple room with proper 3rd bed (not pull-out couch), clean, and reasonable minibar prices. Room service cheeseburger was excellent.

Wifi in room not free. Most hotels offer free wifi these days, and at $400 per day for a room, surely they can include wifi!

The breakfast area was overcrowded.

The night team were unfriendly and uncooperative. A garçon working in the restaurant at breakfast kept asking everyone to get out of his way as if he were doing something vital. The guest comes first. The staff were not interested in the clients and this is why we left after one night. Management needs to look at staff training.

Amazing location. The room was huge but we did pay slightly for the seaside view which was totally worth it. The breakfast was amazing, fruit, cereal, breads, meats, cheeses etc. The room was clean and bright and the bathroom was on par with those in the U.S. For Brazilian standards, this is definitely a luxury hotel. We highly recommend the free H.Stern tour that we booked through the hotel. We were smart enough not to take the airport shuttle through the hotel and were glad not to because it was 25 reals more expensive. You are better off taking a metered taxi to the airport from the street.

The rooftop pool was out of order, which was a bummer.

I cannnot trust this hotel anymore, one of the staff stole some money from me during the day in my room I explained the fact to the manager, she apparently didn't care about it, I though it was not her problem after all she said that we had a savety box, which it s true, anyway someone who probably cleanned the room check all my private bellongings and took it. The manager didn't do nothing, I presume the staff will steal some money some days, be careful new guests!!! However, I don't recommand this hotel to anyone who decide to spend some time at Rio

-Only one elevator works, the other was not working and was not repaired. -Lot of people making a line to use the only one elevator that was working. -Shower not working properly, water accumulate on the floor of shower. -For Reveillon 2013 (new year), on the roof of the hotel (waiting for fireworks show), all chairs were removed and old-people need to keep stand up or sit on the floor. -I will never go to this hotel again.

Very friendly staff who were very helpful. Great breakfast buffet and fantastic location right on Copacabana Beach. Stayed in both a back room and upgraded to beachside which was surpreme.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was and how nice the staff were to me... I don't speak portuguese or not much anyway. Most of the front desk staff spoke english and went out of their way to be helpful. The room also was very clean...as was the entire hotel. The hotel is very nice inside and looks recently renovated. It was a perfect place to stay in Copacabana. I did think the room were a little small but not uncomfortably so. I felt very safe and comfortable staying here. The breakfast was also great. Again I have to say the staff are very helpful and easy to approach and speak with about any questions you might have.

The hotel is great..nothing to complain about really except the room I had was a little small but this is not a complaint really..it was very clean and comfortable for my stay.
