Good price, excellent location
needs update, oldfashioned hotel
Old hotel needing refurbishment
Location - is excellent Staff - friendly, helpful and efficient Breakfast - good standard/quality
Room facilities - are old and in need of refurbishment, e.g. room safe is not in working order. General building maintenance - lifts slow/not working, aircon noisy, bathroom very old My overall impression is this was a superb facility at some stage (about 30 years ago?) which have been run down through lack of maintenance and refurbishment. It's a shame, really.
housekeeping staff very polite, rooms clean.
one out of 3 elevators did not work, and front desk staff were not helpful at all
really cool emplacement, next to copacabana and the subway. the pool, sonat and the sport room are amazing with this view. Rooms were nice
there was too many noise for sleeping
Situated in a good position within the city and easy acces to the beach and shops.
Staff were a bit poor and came across rude but that was probably just a language barrier
Arrived at 0100hrs in the morning and was very inpressed with the front desk staff - we were tired and he very quickly checked us in - he spoke excellent English, was very polite and very efficient - generally we were very pleased with the hotel and will certainly stay there again and recommend it to friends
all good - no complaints at all !!
Location was great, we were able to get everywhere we needed to go in Rio.
The place needs a total renovation. For the amount of money that we paid you would expect a much better place and service.
Breakfast was very good and staff were obliging
Bed was old and very uncomfortable. There were fleas/ flies in the room. The volume for the only English movie channel was off despite daily reminders to fix.
Good size for the price
Tvs weren't up to date.
The room was small. Bothroom small which is less than a square meter. No Bed Rest, difficulty in sleeping. Cathodic Ray Tube TV's 14", fixed diagonally to the bed and less than 250mm from the ceiling, difficult to watch, no sharpness etc.
It's a very dirty hotel. We stayed in this hotel for 17 days. During this period they didn't clean the room not even one time. The staff are not polite. The furniture is very old. And the area is dangerous. It is a disaster hotel, i don't advise anyone to stay in this hotel. I have a very bad memory in this hotel,
Ver y nice people
Overall good experience, location is good, rooms are modern, rooftop pool.
Definitely not a 4* hotel by US or European standards. Think 2* and you know what to expect.
Very small rooms, tiny restroom, have to wear a towel on my back to use the restroom
Total rubbish for the price i paid!
Old bed linen, poor facilities, room was stuffy, not a good experience
Location close subway
No free wi-fi, bad actitud from staff. Old funiture
Breakfast is very good
Room are very dirty and old
the people work there really nice excellent ,
Easy access to Train line, supermarkets, juice shops, Copa Cabana beach 10 mins walk or 4 blocks away. A fair amount of security on along the way, but this was during the world cup, not sure what it would be like otherwise.
Limited English Speaking staff - especially during the time of the FIFA World Cup. Staff always tried to make an extra cut on helping you organize tickets or tours. Rooms and guest elevators need to be upgraded. Beds are uncomfortable and triple rooms are not overly spacious.
Every single problem was directed to the manager, and he was not there. I felt that the guys solve everything with a smiling sorry face. I want half the fee back!! Dont go there ever!
Old musty rooms need upgrading was like a step back in time!!!
Bad hotel and the price very expensive
Breakfast was OK, bar was good
Insects, like small ants everywhere in my room, at one point I moved my medicine bag and killed 25 of them. The chairs were broken by the pool, although I ended up booking at the end of the World cup, the £250 a night rate was extremely expensive for the worst hotel I have stayed in so far in Rio
