Hotel Atlântico Copacabana    

Location, about 4 blocks back off the beach, near the metro. Breakfast buffet quite good, plenty of fresh fruit, bread etc, but limited hot food. Bathroom ok, power shower and water hot!

All rooms seem to have 3 single beds, making it quite cramped, not much space to move about. Air conditioning so noisy had to switch it off, open windows but then very noisy from traffic on road. Beds small and uncomfortable No tea / coffee in room Rooms very dated, like going back to uk in 70'S.

Nice room, well maintained, friendly cleaning staff. Pool was nice.

Gym was outdated, reception was somewhat cold and unhelpful. Overpriced.

Budget friendly and had rooms with three beds - helped us saved costs when travelling in large groups.

Any additional service was paid... like safe in rooms and internet. Wi-fi was slow.

Staff respond but don't seem to care about guests. Did not feel welcome.

Room was old - the hotel in general is badly in need of updating. The bathroom was not well ventilated. Curtains had stains. Lots of traffic noise. Air con was loud an inefficient. Bedspread was stained.

Absolutely nothing

- The room is unacceptable, furniture/sheets/towels are absolutely old! In 1970's it might have been a **** hotel, but in 2013 - barely ***, barely!!!! - the bathroom is smelly, we could hear neighbors have shower and more...We had no hot water and no one came to fix it. - outrageously pricy internet - we paid USD 60 for 2,5 days and we barely used it!!!!

Position and kindness of the staff.

The hotel is not a 4 stars, maximum a 3 stars. Internet was not high-speed and definitely difficult to connect to it (connection was wonky). Room size was low, furniture rather old, air conditioning very very loud. From the bathroom I could hear everything that the people next room was saying (not shouting!). And if you ask for a plug adapter (which is common in Brazil) they don't have one.

I was with my spouse and we had separate beds. The Internet was poor.

Breakfast was good and the pool on the roof was great with a fantastic view.

Not very clean and also the bedrooms need refurbishment, some of them are very old and full of issues. Old towels, old sheets and pillows. I thought was very expensive for what they have to offer.Does not look like a 4 stars hotel at all maybe a 3 stars...

Very helpful & friendly staff. Good location for beach & city touring. Lots of places to eat, shop & explore. City center. Very busy locale but quiet rooms and facility. Great views from roof top pool & small gym. Secure. Very accommodating staff. Great breakfast variety & restaurant. Would recommend and return again.

Good location by the subway station, few blocks form the Copacabana beach. Nice pool at the roof with great view. Very good choice

- Unfriendly personnel - Too expensive for the quality they offer - Facilities are overrated in their offering and rooms are outdated

Friendly English speaking front desk, pool on roof, close to Cobacabana beach, 5 min walk. Great showers, high water pressure room for 2 or 3.

Hard old beds, breakfast buffet had cold eggs, wifi too expensive.

The pool on the 13th floor is amazing. Great breakfast and close to the beach and the city too.

Everything was ok, the staff didn't seem that friendly and didn't speak English...

Location. Was close to copacabana and only a short van ride to best parts of rio including ipanema and Leblon etc.

Staff at reception were rude and not friendly or helpful. They ripped us off for mini bar items we did not use. This hotel lacks cleanliness and needs to seriously consider updating furniture, linens and furnishings. Just feels dirty.

Location is good, near a metro station and not too far from the beach. Clean, large rooms

Service is terrible, do not speak english and on the day we left back home they didnt even let us stay at the pool for an hour or 2.

I was during carnaval in this hotel, and even though it was very busy the staff was very friendly and helpfull.

It was a little too busy, I do not blame the hotel but the neatness and comfort were not optimal.
