Friendly staff and location

Rooms were very bare, renovation works I was not informed by when making the booking, the very average breakfast and the fact that your hotel does not have a name board outside on the building! We spent 20" driving up and down looking for the hotel late at night. Not really appreciated!

Taxi driver could not find the hotel as the name of hotel wasn't on the building. Loud building work going on all day. Shower head very rusty, air-con insufficient for the size of the room, windows very bad condition, hall and staircase very dirty.

This Hotel is well situated on Copa Cabana Beach . The Hotel is undergoing renovations therefore you need to consider that there is constructions

Construction Noice

The price and location were great - it was several hundred pounds cheaper for a two day stay booked only a day in advance of the Easter weekend. This was a break during a business trip. Magical view of the beach and good restaurants nearby. Friendly and helpful staff. The room was light, airy and cool during the day. Large bathroom with good facilities in good order.

The ongoing building works! The entire place was being gutted from the stairwell outwards. Consequently, the landings were filled with mattresses and lights on the landings didn't work. The place was dirty and noisy and just not ready for guests. The work finished at 1700 on my first day there, and wasn't scheduled to begin again until after I left, which was great. But the noise which I did experience was pretty bad. Add in the following: - The lifts felt unsafe - no safety certificate was displayed and they appeared poorly maintained (numbers rubbed off buttons, creaks and bangs, some buttons didn't work). - There was no way of getting from the rooms to the reception/breakfast area without using the lifts, unless you were confident about walking through the building site at the bottom of the stairs, complete with exposed electrics (I didn't check whether they were live!) then outside through the area where the removed masonry/floorboards/electrics/girders were piled for removal and onto the street before going back in the main entrance. Not very child/pyjama friendly - Wi-fi didn't work in my room (on any device - laptop/phone/iPad); only in the hallway. The access point was mounted on the other side of a wall so that the signal had to travels through it at an obtuse angle in order to reach my room. - The water - hot and cold - was brown when I filled the bath. I had showers. In all, it was OK, I was visiting Brazil on business and wanted a few days break and this place saved me £300 over anything else on the beach. The room was comfortable and the hotel seemed safe enough, provided you're a bit sensible. But I wouldn't have been at all happy if it was priced like other ones nearby and I would not have stayed if I'd had the kids with me.

This place is a shithole. We stayed in a room next to a room they were demolishing and the place stunk. All the workers wore masks if this tells you anything

The hotel is undergoing renovations, our room was construction-like noisy from 8am till 5pm, because of the works there was a lot of dust as well. The room was extremely expensive for the quality we got. Have they let us know of the renovations or let us cancell the reservvation after finding out about it, we should have stay somewhere else.

No garage

Made a reservation to stay only one night with very late check-in. The hotel is being remodeled with major construction work being done! Impossible to sleep after 8am due to major banging and electric tools noise. The hotel should be closed for a renovation of this magnitude!!! Although there is a note on the reservation page about the renovation, the staff placed us on the floor where all work is being done. Checked in at 3am and had to get up at 8am and leave the premises since staying in was unbearable! Complained to manager that offered a room on a different floor. Too late!

La ubicación es excelente con una vista impecable de Copacabana. La relación precio - calidad estuvo muy bien porque el hotel esta en obra pero si no es por una reserva en booking esa relación no es buena.

No tiene estacionamiento y los garages en Rio son muy caros.

Work in progress. They are making some reconstruction of the lobby, very unpleasent staying !!!! Personal tried to cheat us and tried to order unofficial taxi, which is two times more expensive and they know that !!! The same happend with their recommendation for dinner. Rooms were dirty, not prepared on time, bathroom was old as Copacabana.

Very good location. Good breakfast. Choose lux room, this will allow you to see Avenida Atlantica and the room itself will be really big!

Large rooms, although spartan, had all the basic necessities. Breakfast was decent, and it is just across the street from the ocean. Front desk staff was helpful in arranging tours and providing suggestions to see Rio.

Construction, although fortunately it was limited to only regular business hours.

There were works and the hotel was running with noise. Rooms are in the worst conditions. The price was extremely high for a totally negative value. I have been in several hotels in Rio and this was the worst experience ever. Photos were misleading. This hotel should go out of your booking list.

Excelent staff, great help as we arrived 7 hours before check in time, we were able to have great morning and early afternoon with the recomendations from super friendly staff, without any worries

Location

Some major civil construction work going on. The lift didn't stop on 7th floor (703) and the telephone didn't work in my parents room 202.there was loud noise all through out the day. The bed is very very bad.the furniture is of 1950's and so r the toilet.

The room was the size of my closet and I don't mean a walking closet !!
