Great location, close to both Copacabana and Ipanema

We got room later than expected check-in and we had to wait. Unfriendly staff Room very old and basic, with dirty walls and bad smell Low value for money (even for Rio) Poor breakfast

Location is pretty good, clean and quite big rooms, really good breakfast.

Several staff members were rude, recommended laundry place was a ripoff.

Fantastic location, no more than 5 minutes walk from both Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Rooms are sizable and clean, and the breakfast is extensive

Not much not to like, except that a "double bed" is 2 mattresses pushed together. For the price of a room, I would have expected a conventional double mattress

Relatively cheap, but you get what you pay for...

Very loud throughout our stay- walls were paper thin, and lots of families with small kids made peace and quiet a rarity. Room lacked any decor whatsoever- very bare bones. Got food poisoning from the atrocious room service brunch.

The central location put 3 blocks of both Ipemena and Copacabana. The neighbor was quite and safe. The room and hotel was clean. Many English speaking channels.

The older (not younger) desk clerks acted if they were too busy to answer questions. They seem inconvenienced.The water in the bathroom stinked. My room vistitor thought so as well. My room was small.

Nice, clean hotel with breakfast included in the price.

I did not like having to pay extra for bringing a guess to my room for a short visit.

Location and staff were great and offered sound advice. They also offered a currency exchange service which was useful to us because our visas didnt work in the local ATMs. The bus stop was right outside the Hotel.

Expensive ( but all Ipanema / Cocacabana hotels are over priced).

There was Internet but when we went to checkin for our flights we couldn't print our boarding passes they didn't connect to the main receptions printer. Breakfast was ok some people might like it , I think it personal taste ... The bread is different from English bread croissants etc ... Lots of fruit

We looked at a lot of hotels and read many reviews, I was a little worried when I made the reservation, but upon arriving at the hotel we were very happy with the service the staff was very helpful and the location couldn't have been any better! The room was a good size and the shower was great, lots of room and hot water!! When we return to Rio, we will defiantly stay at the Atlantis!

Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Located close to both Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. After I checked out, hotel staff held my luggage until late afternoon when I needed to leave for the airport.

Room was comfortable, breakfast very good, with wide choice of fruit especially. The setting is very good, between Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, and the street is quiet.

Water from somewhere (an aircon unit? an overflow pipe?) came down the outside of the bedroom window from time to time, making a loud noise. When I ordered a taxi for the airport, the bellboys seemed to have some kind of private deal going with a friend of theirs who had a car. The price was fair and the service OK but it involved a lot of telephoning and the car took a long time to arrive. The hall porters couldn't or wouldn't tell me what was going on and in the end they just ignored me. Meanwhile a lot of the normal yellow taxis passed by on the street. I advise anyone staying in that hotel just to step out into the street and hail a normal taxi.

Front desk staff rude and lazy. Room tiny, bathroom like a closet. Overpriced. Breakfast fair but limited in choice. Living on their location. Pool on roof tiny. Doors to rooms chipped and untidy.

Marvellous hotel, good Hilton standards with extremely spacious rooms. Delicious food. Good service and athmosphere.

Poor beach but nothing to do with the hotel but has a very nice pool to compensate. Need changing and shower room for late departure guests.

Location - between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Staff very courteous and helpful.

Comfortable room and buffet breakfast

Housekeeper never replaced dirty glasses. Every day I had to go get clean glasses

Location, 200m from Copacabana (poste 6) 150m from Ipanema (poste 7) beach! Pool on the top floor with some great views over Ipanema. 2 PC's available for free. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast buffet.

Standard rooms have no view (airshaft)

The staff were freindly and very helpful in all situations, were informed, assisted with tours, directions etc the location is excellent from which a lot of activities are in close proximity

The room was too basic, dated in decor with faded bedspreads, felt more like a dormitory, with very little comfort, without even a chair or place to write a note or check a map, also it is really unecessary to charge for internet as all hotels offer this free. Rio is a fantastic place, but the hotel should not just rely on the city to make the experience great, they should offer more to enhance the city. I intend to return for the World Cup, but will find another hotel.

Deluxe rooms very basic, yet spacious. Lacks character.

Asked for 1/2 hr later check out, did not get it. Thats not good enough!
