Augusto's Paysandu Hotel  

Hotel staff very nice, price, location, quiet.Room was very quiet, after staying many times in Copacabana hotel's 4 and 5 stars this neighbourhood is far quieter.

Room's need refurbishement. Dust all over specially in the air condicioned unit's (seem filter's were never clean,you see this in even 4 stars hotel in Brasil)

Staff were really friendly. They provided me all kind of information. They also suggested me things to do. The location was good, since it was in a very safe neighbourhood. It was so easy to get the place using public transportation,

The lining could be cleaner. The breakfast could be better.

Lovely old building on a delightful palmtree-lined street in a non-pretentious, interesting part of Rio in walking distance of bars and restaurants. Bed was really comfy with nice sheets. Our room at the back on the top floor was airy and bright and quiet for Rio (it is not a city where this is easily found!) and would be a nice room if it were not so tatty. Breakfast also good.

For the price the hotel really does need some tidying up. Loads of great art deco features and charm - just desperate for a bit of paint.

Location is great and staff is efficient and friendly. It is a nice old hotel.

Breakfast buffet was just OK

The excellent location in Flamengo's beach and the good breakfast. For a mature couple in halliday is a good option in Rio because is well localized, with easy access to many locals in the town.

Not to say.

The only good point of this hotel is its location.

Although I cannot compare it to other hotels in Rio, I do feel that the Paysandu hotel is way too expensive for what it offers. The bedroom I had was quite noisy, with windows that wouldn't properly close. The fridge would add to the external symphony an extra noise at precise intervals of time. The noisy pipes also let you know when the occupants of the bedroom above you shower or go to the toilet... The bedroom was clean, but the bed sheets were quite old. All in all, my stay in this hotel was barely okay, and I would avoid going back there.

Friendful staff, good position, good connection to public transportation

Too expensive considering the quality of the rooms and the price of other hotels in the same area

Plus - restaurant in hotel lobby area location great restaurant down the road on the corner

Minus - out of date computer very annoying,internet cafe down road much better no bar downstairs in very large lobby

The location is ideal. It's only a walking distance away from Flamengo Beach where you can catch a view of the Sugarloaf and most importantly it's pretty safe even at night. The subway can be easily reach too and it's only a few minutes by taxi to Corcovado.

Probably more on the upgrades on there old interior.

This is an older, but well-kept hotel on a beautiful street. My room was clean, a good size, and the air conditioning worked well. The bed was small but ok. Wireless internet was available for a small fee and the speed was good.

Limpeza. Instalações antigas, precisa de reformas.

Do atendimento na recepção, do aspecto "anos dourados" do hotel, do conforto da cama, da ducha e do tamanho(polegadas) da televisão.

Da posição do aparelho do Ar Condicionado no quarto de casal, de um possível vazamento no banheiro do quarto de casal, do cheiro do copo no café da manhã.

Ubicacion, el trato amable, las sugerencias del personal para paseos, compras, entretenemientos.

Me hubiera gustado mas variedad en el cafe da manha, por ejemplo algun cambio en losfiambres y las frutas de brasil, por ejemplo maracuja, que adore.o

Gostei da localização.

Não gostei de pagar pelo acesso ao internet. Muitos outros hoteis de menor qualidade oferecem este servicio gratis.

Chuveiro foi o melhor da estada, apesar de ser com cortina

Quarto apertado - a escrivaninha e cama praticamente não permitiam sentar na cadeira, a janela da para o corredor externo onde esta a exaustão da cozinha, só tem um elevador antigo que é muito lento, ar condicionado fraco e mal instalado pois incide diretamente na cama.

Quartos recém reformados com cheiro de tinta e foi necessária a troca do quarto pela má arrumação do quarto (empoeirado e mofado)

O hotel está sucateado, precisando de uma reforma geral...o hotel é antigo, mas não significa que tem de ser velho!!! Está mal conservado...pintura, piso, móveis estão horríveis. Quarto sem decoração alguma. Nada aconchegante. Banheiro em péssimas condições...Ar- condicionado com a saída da água de condensação dentro do banheiro....Horrível...

Os quartos, especialmente o 101a é horrivel, camas pequenas, colchoes ruins. Banheiros velhos, sujos. Cafe fraquíssimo. Atendimento confuso e frio.Lá Nao me hospedarei nunca mais. Não recomendo

Muito bem localizado, na rua das palmeiras reais, bom café, quarto simples, mas tudo funcionando muito bem, pessoal atencioso.
