Locaton, helpfulness of staff.
1. We were given a room with two medium size beds when we wanted one large one. We were told they would be pushed together, which they were, but the bedding did not fit(?). 2. Free internet very poor, and had to be re-authorised every day (which took time because of the poor response), even though the length of our stay was known.
Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious rooms but outdated.
Now a days, wifi should be free of charge.
Beautiful pool area.
The nutritionist that went around checking the food temperature at breakfast.
Internet connection and the breakfast
Located nicely overlooking the sea.
No meeting/conference space for small group processing
Travelled on the off-season. Staff was helpful, friendly and accommodating. The facilities and location to the beach were great. Overall, a great stay.
The view from the room was amazing and the breakfast offered authentic food from Salvador.
The lobby rug was dirty and the room did not have curtains so it was difficult to sleep in the morning.
Good location - hearing the sea when you wake up was nice.
Decor and furniture is tired - not what you would expect from a 5* hotel
The location is very good, size of the rooms, lobby area, matresses and minibar are good, that´s it.
I have rarely seen such a run down wanna be 5 star property. None of the front desk staff speaks english (5 stars?), hallway on the floor extremly dirty (not cleanned for weeks with year old stains in the carpets (5 stars?), completly worn and run down room, tv at least 20 years old, furniture from the 70th (except matress), balcony door didn´t close, no towels in the room, no air in the bathroom (sauna in the entire room after having a warm shower), aircon not working well (min. 22 degrees after 6 hours), breakfast buffet rather 3 then 5 stars (no cheese, no bacon), arrived 9.35 (breakfast till 10.00), major items were missing and not refilled (no orange juice, no bread!). If you take this as a 3 star hotel and pay a 3 star price it´s okay, but already in the 4 star bracket you´ll find much much better hotels in Salvador.
The hotel is a beautiful huge hotel with a set up for conventions. It sits over a gorgeous site of the ocean. The pool is large and awesome.
the hotel is nice and must have been wonderful in it's day. Now it looks a little tired and needs restoration work. the staff was helpful and friendly.
the hotel looks and feels worn. went for a pedicure and was disappointed with the service. found close by a salon that gave better service all around for same fee. would not recommend using the hotel beauty salon.
Amazing view , the stuff was really frindly , breakfast was a good food , they have place where u book any ture u want with good price , always they r taxi there , closer to everything u want , have a great holiday alrandi from kuwait
There is nothing i dont like
Good location, good value for money
-very poor wifi connection -swimming pool in the shade and cold in winter time
Friendliness of most staff. Reception staff gave good recommendations for local restaurants.
We originally asked for two adjacent rooms but were given them far apart without explanation. Check in was very slow and too many forms to fill in. Building work/repairs in foyer. Laundry service advertised same day return if collected before a certain time but took two days to return - again without explanation. As with most hotels, the "green" policy is to only change towels when requested, yet they changed the towels anyway!
Great location, big & comfortable rooms, nice and helpful staff, Obrigado to all front desk officers, and very special one for Anibal, Polyana and Rafaela for their continuous warm welcome and assistance.
the comfort and quiet
the price in restaurant
location; spacious room.
Internet access is terrible.
They gave us a dirty room with two single beds, eventhough we booked a room with a twin bed. The light in the room was not working and after we asked them to give us a new room, they just gave us a room that was nearly the same as the old one!
The restaurant and pool bar staff along with the housekeepers! Bellman were great too!
No gift shop, spa sushi restaurant as advertised in the in room guide??? The lobby bar staff-fire them all and start again as you are losing tons of money! They ignore guest and say no sorry never want to serve. This is not a "palace" from Othon... Only offering a buffet for dinner is UNACEPTABLE...so we spent our money elsewhere..
The staff are super friendly. The location is reasonably good, within walking distance of Barra and the lighthouse, but not much of a beach at the hotel itself. Requires a taxi ride to get to the Pelourinho. The decoration of the entrance area looks spectacular. Rooms are reasonably big and have a view.
It is an older hotel, and the rooms are in need of a renovation. The windows in our room were locked and could not be opened. Since they were also dirty on the outside the otherwise good view was ruined. There is no free Wifi in the rooms.
The view of the coast was beautiful and the staff was very attentive.
The hotel is starting to show its age.
They need to give every person at the room access to internet and not just one access per room. More, to be a five star hotel everything has to work.
Our room had great views across to the ocean. We booked the cheapest room but I think they must have upgraded us for free as we had a spacious room with a king size bed. The swimming pool is really nice. Theres also a gym anf tabke tennis! The restaurant had nice food and the breakfast was pretty good. The hotel is quite dated and in need of a facelift, however for the price its a great deal. The room itself was very nice. I would definitely come back.
The hotels exterior is quite dated however as stated above the rooms and swimming pool are perfectly nice.
