Location, breakfast, politeness and attention by staff, very nice house
The location was awesome, room was quiet, bed was comfortable and staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was also very good.
Our room, number 14, had no windows and there was a big uncovered hole in the bathroom looking out into the interior pipes. When we asked about it, they said it was for ventilation but they could have at least covered it with netting. The hole was at least 2ft by 3ft and animals, bugs and even a small person could get in. The safe deposit box wasn't anchored to anything. Someone could just pick it up and take off with it.
Great location, super friendly staff, fantastic breakfast room overlooking the square and tasty breakfast.
Near total lack of anywhere to hang or store any clothes.
Exzellent located. Great staff. Great breakfast.
Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
Bar not open much but not really an issue.
Hotel was good; therefore we booked it again for our second visit.
Very helpful staff that speaks English and German. Very nice rooms. Good breakfast. Very good location in the old town. Very nice and big rooms. We absolutely can recommend this hotel!
Old town is in general not a good area, so ask the staff for directions if you go outside. Nonetheless, this is the best option if you want to stay in the old town. Take care not take rooms without a window as they are a bit smelly.
This old Salvador house is right on a square at the entrance to the historic town. The place may not look so safe at first but it is highly patrolled by police anytime of day or night. It is close to a terrace with a view on the lower city and the port. It is tastefully decorated in the Afro-Brazilian style that fits Salvador. The room are simple but nice, having A/C, a mini-fridge, a safe-deposit box with an en-suite bathroom. There is no elevator, so you may want to choose a room on the first floor. Unless, you are traveling light like we did. (We had an attic room, which was quiet and very pleasant above the roofs). The reception desk is very friendly and extremely helpful. Their first-floor dining-room has a gorgeous view over the town square and even the ocean. Breakfast here in the morning is a real treat. There is a lounge nest to the dining-room with a billiard and bookshelves and armchairs to relax. It is a short walking distance to the historic center, where there are some very nice cafés and excellent restaurants. Just remember, this place has no frill but has got enough charm and comfort to make your stay be a memorable one. I simply loved it!
The environment does not always look safe outside. So you need to be watchful. But there is so much police all around day or night, that in fact it is safe provided you don't go beyond the restricted areas. It would have been nice if the hotel had an operating restaurant as well. It seems it is under construction after renovation.
Great hotel, great location. Great comfy beds!
personnel was not very flexible at providing hot water due to a special requirement. Breakfast very typical Brazilian (which is good), however, a bit of a differentiation would have resulted in higher scores.
Lots of stairs to climb
Room really comfortable. Nice location - especialty for high season.
The WiFi didn't worked properly most of our stay, but we only stayed one night so it might have been just bad luck.
Very beautiful, charming and colorful hotel, delicious and generous breakfast, very friendly staff, centrally located.
Extremely friendly personel Very helpful Great location Rooms are very cosy and comfortable Lovely breakfast
Staff very friendly and helpfull, great location with plenty of restaurants and facilities close by, very good breakfast
Comfortable bed, great WiFi, awesome spa, super helpful front desk, great decor, the rooms are so original and all the decoration and vibe makes you feel in Salvador, great location in the heart of pelourinho, walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, etc. Great cable TV and air conditioning. Safe. Overall nothing bad, one of the best boutique hotels I've stayed in.
Nothing! All fantastic, will be coming back.
Very friendly staff, nice location in the middle of the (nice part of the) pelourinho and cosy comfortable rooms.
the wifi did not work perfectly downstairs
Close to the pelghino area. Comfortable no harassment. Felt sorry for the young boy who slept in the door wAy.
Nice decoration, location, good breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff. Booking some daily excursions from the hotel was our highlight.
We got a warm and friendly welcome from the daytime staff. They were very helpful. Breakfast was good, as was the decor.
The night-time receptionist was slow in opening the door for us. Given the location, which is rather rundown and full of crackheads at night, this made us feel unsafe. The bar of the hotel was closed.
Everything was great! Leandro the host welcomed us very well. the rooms are clean and very nice, excellent breakfast.
Location close to pelourinho. Staff very caring
Small Bathroom, average breakfeast , noise in the corridors if you want to sleep
The location, near to Pelourinho.
Nice boutique hotel, excellent location, excellent wifi, good breakfast, comfortable room with individual aircon
No elevator (but not really a problem for me); room safe not working (but was told that hotel in the process of replacing the safe); hotel did not allow a late check-up at 5 pm (unless extra payment is made) even if the room was available
It is a nice and cozy Hotel. Not a big fancy Hotel where you are a number. The staff in this Hotel makes it comfortable for you where they know you almost by name. The location is also very good.
Leandro was a mine of information and went out of his way to help
