Nice big showers and amazing breakfast.
Male staff at reception rude. Noisy building works both sides of the hotel so could not escape the noise by swapping rooms!
The wifi is extremely slow, and you can "buy" better connection for additional charge. The staff is not helpful at all. I booked this hotel and after my stay I should go to Ilha Grande (isolated island with no cars) for a couple of days, then come back to Rio and go to the airport the same day. So, I wanted to take a small suitcase with me, and leave the large suitcase for a few days at the hotel. I asked the staff the day before whether I could leave my suitcase, and the answer was "Sure". Then at the check-out the woman said that it was only possible to leave it for a few hours. I explained the situation (the shuttle should arrive in 20 min), but the woman said no and suggested to leave my suitcase somewhere else even though she knew that I had no time. But then she said "you can take you suitcase with you - it is not a problem at all. I went to Ilha Grande several times with many bags and suitcases". So, I had no choice and took the large heavy suitcase with me. It was raining and I had to transfer to the boat and then walk at the sandy beaches. At the boat both suitcases got completely wet, so all the best things that I had put in the large suitcase (shirts, ties, papers, etc) that were not supposed to go to the island got wet. The worst thing was that my laptop broke because of that. When I came back to Rio (again through sandy beaches, with a transfer from boat to shuttle), I had 3 hours in Rio before I should go to the airport. I entered the hotel and asked again if I could leave my suitcase, this time for three hours. And again, the idiots answered "no, we have no space" even though I explained them the situation (I was hungry and wanted to take a walk in Rio before I leave). So, I went to the other side of the street to hotel Benidorm, where a very kind lady,Aparasida (probably not spelled right), took both my suitcases for three hours. And for her it was not a problem at all. So, don't go to Bandeirantes.
Clean, good location to Copacabana,
Very noisy. If you want a window you get all night street noise. There is also construction work that is going on in the morning. I am not a light sleeper but it made it impossible to sleep in past 8am. I think the hotel is over price due to the noise but also it is not very modern the internet is very slow and the safe can be unfriendly.
the manager of the Bar in the lovy is dishonest They offer the Luigi Bosca standard like Reserva. Etc Checking out no datail receipt is given etc
One staff member was helpful
All other staff members were very rude/not nice You could hear everything in the room next door No iron - you had to pay to get your clothes ironed - 7 reales - unbelievable!
An extremely helpful English speaking staff.
Rooms are very basic, pool is a little larger than a bath tub though with a great view and breakfast is average but thats everywhere in Brazil. Wifi - Extremely slow and does not work everywhere
No air con. Noise from building work. Attitude of staff
Construction Noise view
Staff were very helpful
The hotel is next to a building site, the rooms are completly outdated and in serious need of rennovation. Would never stay there again. The hotel was compeltly overpriced even considering the 2014 WC
Great staff along with location. We were 2 blocks from the beach. Breakfast was great as well.
Internet speed was a bit slow but at least it was free.
except some of the cakes/pudim de laite for breakfast
To start: internet is supposed to be free but it's unbelievable slow, and if you want to speed it up, you hape to pay 15 R$ per day i think! on top of that you can't connect more than 1 device per person! breakfast room was too small (world cup affluence) and we were forced to queue...perhaps would it have been better to extend the hours ? if you're able to enhance the price during the world cup, you can also enhance the service! there were works going on and it was loud, the topfloor swimming pool was closed and the gym (very small) a bit of a joke! not a 3 star hotel, 2 stars at best!
excellent and friendly hotel but in the middle of nowhere !!
The staff makes this place
Wifi issue with router out of action
Just a couple of blocks from Copacabana. View of Christ Redemmer from our window. Friendly and helpful staff.
Very thin walls, particularly to the next bathroom. Noisy construction work going on both sides.
Location, breakfast , service.
Around the hotel is building! Very noisy!
I liked the location and the helpful and friendly staff.
I guess due to the World Cup all prices in town were ridiculous! Wi/Fi in the room was very slow at times.
Nothing. The staff was one of the worst parts about the stay. Acted like they were totally oblivious to the chaos.
The hotel is under construction and probably has and will continue to be for a long time. Awoke to a drill & hammering next to my head at 7am. Construction doesn't stop until 5pm so don't plan on sleeping. The only somewhat quiet place is the rooftop oddly enough. And don't order room service because it will most likely come complete with cockroaches. It is mainly the front desk staff that is rude & totally unhelpful. They wouldn't give me a wifi code that worked (somewhat) until over 1 1/2 hrs after I checked in. I had come to Rio to watch USA game at fan fest but missed meeting up with my friends for the game because of this. They did direct me accross the street to pay at an internet cafe but they didn't have wifi there. My whole experience was horrible & considering construction is going to be underway for quite some time, I don't recommed this to anyone. Oh & its $300 a night for 1star quality.
The breakfast was ok
Internet is lame. 128k are for free. You have to pay for every extra you want. Even 10% for the service are not included in the booking price.
Staff was very helpful.
great location, 2min from copacabana beach. Clean and average breakfast
very rude reception staff, not helpful at all.
Staff were lovely
Had trouble with a credit card and found management unwilling tto work with me with regards to electronic forms of communication
It is very well located. Staff is very helpful. Room is big During world cup, availability is very low but it offers still better value for money than others.
During world cup is just full of people and noisy. Noise from next door building construction. Breakfast area can be crowded.
Location, location , location. The breakfast bar was also rather palatable but far from gourmet. The papaya in June seemed to be the best fruit.
Unannounced construction seemingly around the clock. WiFi was essentially useless. Pool access prohibited due to construction (no mention on website). Also, when I asked the front desk to make a phone call on my behalf to inquire about bus schedules he kindly refused, claiming to be unable to make calls on behalf of guests!.?@!
Good place for the money. Great location. For sure i´ll stay there again in another situation.
It´s not close to the beach, but not too far.
