Score from 1045 reviews Very good
Pretty much everything besides the location. Stayed in Executive suite, but this place is very outdated. The worst part is the noisy air-co, it is so noisy that I had to use my noise cancellation headset to be able to sleep, otherwise it felt like a helicopter outside of your window.
Personale reception in very available.
Poor conditions, Very Expensive, Poor Wifi Connection, Poor Brakefast. Restuarant Personnel is always upset
Room was very large Nice pool on rooftop International breakfast
Old style forniture in the room
Helpful staff. Very good breakfast.
The hotel requires refreshment: old furniture&bath. Uncomfortable bed with old mattress. Very bad Internet connection in our room. Noisy conditioners outside (we could hear both our conditioner and those from other rooms). No view from our room (almost into the windows of the attached building). Quality of room cleaning is not perfect (sand and stains on the floor), once the maid even forgot to leave any towels in the room). No shower gel (only shampoo and conditioner).
good spot, close to coppacabana and ipanema
wifi only worked in one specific spot of our room with low quality. air condition was extremely loud and hit us directly. room couch in the apartment smelled of urin. All in all not recommendable at all, much less when you see the prices.
- great bedroom and shower: lots of space and comfort - great breakfast: various and lots of foods - great location: near the beach, shops, restaurants, banks, public transport
- the internet signal wasn't good enough in the room: I always had to be by the door or downstairs to be able to browse
Locatiom and breakfast
They charge more money after you make reservation.
Comfortable, clean room. Good choice for breakfast.
Internet quite slow
Large room, perfect cleaning and good location.
Though the staff is friendly, we had so many examples of poor information. 1. When we asked which bus to take to the Sugar Loaf, they gave us the number of the one going to Corcovado. 2. They were selling an excursion to a football match for 160 reais. I had read in the guidebook that a ticket should be 20-30 reais if you buy it yourself, but the staff told me it would be around 70, so I chose to go on the excursion. And sure enough, when I got the ticket, it had 30 reais written on it. 3. We asked for help to call and book an excursion with a company we had talked to while walking along Copacabana. The price on the leaflet was 130 reais. The Receptionist told us, that they (the hotel or their collaborator) also did the excursion, if we preferred to go with them. Price: 160 reais. Do they think we are retarded? 4. We had to be in the airport at 7pm, and due to the lackluster information during our stay, we asked three different receptionists when we should depart from the hotel to make sure. Result: Three different answers (5.30, 6 and 6.20).
Air con worked great (quiet too), great pool no one else seemed to know about, 3 blocks to beach.
Closes to the copacabana beach
You keep hearing noises from the elevator or when ever some one is taking a shower or using toilets
Check in was simple. Did not have much reason to interact with staff, which I guess is a good thing. Room was large and bed was comfortable. Shower was large and bathroom was clean. Separate area with table, chairs and refrigerator came in handy. Street door was locked at night (good) but security was always there to allow access (very good). Did not use rooftop pool ... beach was too close. Walking distance to Metro. Breakfast was adequate and hours were convenient. On site parking (for additional daily fee). It's not a luxury hotel, but it does not pretend to be. It's clean, comfortable and convenient, and reasonably priced for its location. One observation ... front desk command of English was adequate to communicate. Most other staff did not speak English well, so use front desk staff to assist in requesting a taxi or to retrieve your car.
There was nothing I did not like in this hotel. There was a burned out bulb in the bathroom which was replaced immediately after I advised the front desk. Maybe housekeeping should have noticed?
Good location, two blocks from the beach and also convenient to public transport; felt a reasonably safe area (at least during the day and early evening). Very helpful staff (e.g. with early check-in). Wifi worked well and breakfast good. Reasonable value by Rio standards (it's an expensive city).
Even if we arrived in the morning, the hotel accepted to check us in and, to our big surprise, they also upgraded our room. We received one with jacuzzi and private sauna, at the last floor (13th).
The staff was not well informed about their tour to favelas. It took less than 2 hours, but they mentioned 4. Also, they told us that we need to pay cash but, in the end, I discovered that it was possible to pay with the credit card, also.
Polite and helpful staff, familiar athmosphere, good location on Barata Ribeiro avenue with lot's of shops and hotel nearby and therefore safe location, good choice of food for breakfast (delicious fruit salad)
The view from the window: temporarily a building under construction. Also a littlebit far away from the beach, but taking Santa Clara Street on the rihgt it's 5-7 minute walk to the Beach; moreover, I checked some hotels near the Beach and the location didn't seem very safe due to the fact that there are less shops nearby (more condominiums) and therefore not so many people around
The location was good and the rooms were spacious.
The hotel staff was rude and treated our girl friend badly while we were having some drinks in the room before going out. We had already talked to the reception about this before the shift change and gave the necessary id documentation which they requested and they were fine with this. Then, after the staff changed, they called the room asking for extra money and they treated our girl friend like a prostitute. It was extremely inappropriate and we left the hotel the next day. I would not recommend this hotel.
We liked the size of the room and the friendliness of the staff who could speak English.
The restaurant quality of food. Also it would have been nice to have a small bar on the ground floor. where you could relax after a day out.
There is a foul stench.
Price Location Staff
The place is situated within a walking distance to the Copacabana Beach....Nice!
location to Copacabana beaches
Noisy room right on the road, and construction happening the whole time I was there.
good value for money
location is a bit far from beach (5-8 minutes walk)
I stayed both here and at Hotel Bandeirantes that is across the street. This one is much better, because I had a very unpleasant stay at Bandeirantes (you can read my review). Here (at Benidorm) the staff is nice. Especially the woman at the reception, Aparasida (probably I didn't spell the name correctly), is extremely kind and helpful. Good wifi.
English speaking on reception Very helpful on where to go Rooms were clean Breakfast was good
Room top pool a bit small
The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. They tried their best to help us. We had paid for the second best room in the hotel, but were initially placed in a room far different than what we were promised. They eventually switched us to what resembled like the room we had paid for on our 3rd of 5 night stay.
The condition of the room we initially stayed in was terrible. The room was below standard with broken shower door, clogged shower drain, barely functioning toilet and this was supposedly an executive suite. There was construction across the street and we did not get to sleep for 3 nights.
