Great location! Small, but beautiful! Breakfast and Tea @ five are just famous. Food service beyond this could be a little longer (evening / night). MY ALL-TIME-FAVORIT!

    rain....whenever I step into Buzios....hehe....

There was a major blackout for a part of the hotel in which our room unfortunately was. BUT the handling of the staff, management was excellent ! I am a very frequent traveller and I have to admit that this exceeded expectations and that is the reason why I would recommend this hotel.

They should really invest a affordable amount to maintain, renew and refurnish the hotel - this would really lead to a far better overall appearance ! And at least one english speaking staff should be available during the day to attract people from US and Europe.

The location is excellent, in front of the beach. The staff is helpful and friendly.

The sanitary conditions of the city of Buzios are very poor specially in this time of the year, when the population of the city more than double. As a result many guests at the hotel, including some of our family, got sick and had to be medicated. The breakfast could be better in relation to the price.

I stayed in Chez Pitu in early November 2013. The owner spoke english and was a lovely guy. I had room 18 on the first floor, which had a balcony large enough for a table and 2 chairs, overlooking the infinity pool with fabulous views over Geriba beach and of the sunset. The owner agreed this is the nicest room in the hotel! Every room is slightly different so beware when booking through websites like this as you will not know exactly what your room is like. I contacted the hotel directly to be sure I would get a room with sea view and balcony having booked on Breakfasts were nice, hot and cold food plus cereals and fruit. You could always get tea and coffee at most times in the day. This hotel, though expensive (it is Buzios after all!) is absolutely lovely in a perfect location for a nice relaxing holiday. Hotel staff were lovely too, especially if you try to speak portuguese! I fully recommend it for both couples and families. Phil. London

On occasion the beach bar was not always staffed when you needed a drink and sometimes closed early.

    Wake up on the beach.

Room too small, not enough parking spots -- car had to be parked outside the hotel, no restaurant (only snacks) and no restaurant nearby.

Our second visit. Simple clean rooms, modern catv, WiFi (free)and a/c, good shower with plentiful hot water, great location with ocean views and direct beach access, very friendly staff, great buffet breakfasts with fresh fruit and afternoon tea/coffee in the pretty dining room facing the ocean. The small sauna next to the pool was a nice surprise on cool spring evenings. Good brazilian seafood and meat restaurant right next door. Take the short walk to the beautiful small quiet ferradurinha beach over the hill.

Its a little difficult getting both to the hotel and geriba beach itself-- even with gps --because of the twisting mostly unmarked roads and lack of signs. Not many restaurants or shops within walking distance.

We travelled to Chez Pitu in September 2013. The service provided by the staff was faultless and the hotel provided a beautiful place to relax after a few days in Rio. The breakfast was lovely and the bar very well stocked :-) This is a wonderful place to stay and provides excellent value for money.

There was nothing I didn't like but do be aware that very few of the staff speak english and for those that do it is very limited. Make sure you take a portuguese/english phrasebook with you wherever you travel in Brazil.

We absolutely loved the pousada, it's location was amazing & it was clean, comfortable & fantastic value. Above all else the staff were brilliant, esp since we didn't speak much Portuguese - would highly recommend this pousada!
