Great location between Copacabana and Ipanema.Spacious room with balcony and side sea views on the 8th floor.Beautiful rooftop sundeck with (small) pool and (unfortunately broken) sauna.Fantastic buffet breakfast.Friendly multilingual staff.Excellent and free internet connection. Common parts and rooms are very 70's,complete with heavy wood panelling,dark marble bathroom,old TV's and dated furnishings.Even though it was clean,it felt it needed a full refurbishment.For the price -it wasn't cheap at 72£/night- I was expecting more up-to-date luxury.But overall I enjoyed my stay there and would go back. |

Staff were OK. Breakfast was good. Room was clean. Shower worked OK. Air con noisy. Small rooms and small lift. I preferred to use stairs, but found them dirty with towels left on floor. I booked a city tour through hotel (cash) which was disappointing. |

I like the location it was near both ipanema and copacobana beach. The breakfast was really nice.. the staff was helpful and can speak english very well. The reception staff was so helpful specially Mr. Martin and Jonathan. The pool was so small it was like a tub.. Tv cable channels was not updated, most of them was out of order. Its not four star at all. But its still a very nice hotel. |

While, staying at the Copacabana Praia Hotel, we really appreciated the helpful nature of all the staff. They helped us out with everything we needed from towels and silverware to finding a bank and fun excursions. It was very comforting to know that they were there if we needed anything. They also found us a driver who could take us on the longer trips for less money and with more freedom on our part to do what we wanted. He gave us great suggestions. We also really enjoyed the continental breakfast that was included. It was delicious and well stocked. The bathrooms were luxurious, with tile all around and nice hot water! Although this may not be necessary to some, their shampoo and conditioner really makes your hair feel soft. |

Very good location between Copacabana and Ipanema, so you could easily choose where to go. Very good breakfast, friendly staff quick to help any moment It was the wifi that didn't function equally well in different parts of the hotel and there was no computer at the hotel, so for me as I haven't my laptop along with me there was a problem.... |

Very friendly staff Be sure if you are not smoker they don't put in a smoking room (the only one availabkle when there is a promotion. No internet in the room and poor connexion at the reception. |

não gostei do hotel. Sujo, velho, com mofo nas paredes. Armários infestados por cupins. Banheiro sujo. Área da piscina horrível, com madeira estragada e quebrada. |

O custo beneficio é muito bom.Localização e gentileza dos funcionarios são excelentes. Muitos moveis,recepção,escadas e corredor para a piscina necessitando de reparos(muito antigos e danificados). |

Estuvimos en Rio en Octubre de 2009. El personal fue sumamente amable. La habitacion muy confortable con una linda vista desde el piso 11! La ubicacion en Arpoador creo que es la mejor en todo Rio! |

Het hotel is prima gelegen, op 250 meter van het Copacabana strand en ca. 500 meter van het Ipanema strand. Het hotel verdient echter niet 4 sterren en hoe deze kwalificatie tot stand is gekomen mag Joost weten. Drie sterren maximaal! Al is men wel bezig om alle kamers op te knappen, wij sliepen in een schone prima, enigszins kleine kamer. Het zwembad, de liften, de gangen zijn echter erg gedateerd. De algemene uitstratling van dit hotel laat te wensen over. Aangezien wij voorafgaand aan dit hotel enkele dagen verbleven in het Merlin Copacabana, wat voor nagenoeg dezelfde prijs wordt aangeboden en veel beter is, waren wij enigszins teleurgesteld. |

L'hotel est très bien situé entre Copacabana et Ipanema. Très propre et de qualité correct. Pour le prix c'est vraiment bien. Personnel anglophone toujours disponible à la réception ce qui peut aider énormément si on en parle pas portuguais. Le déjeuner est ordinaire mais correct. |
