Overall great hotel and staff. Very safe and very close to the beach!!
The staff don't keep their promise. Make sure you confirm and clarify the details before checkout or your card will be charged extra.
Location and staff
Rooms ok for the money
A fine hotel to stay. Very comfy and the staff are nice, the most important thing is they speak fluently english and it's rare in Brazil. I'll recommand my friends to stay if they look for a hotel near copacabana
+ Location + Value for the money + Fast check-in + Fast check-out + Size of room
- Bathroom is dated - Safe costs R$4/day
The hotel is located very close to copacabana and ipanema. It's close to the metro station as well. The stuff was very helpful and able to speak english one of them also spoke german.
The bathroom was a little bit dirty although it was just sand from the beach. In my opinion it was not cleaned every day they just changed the towels.
Location is excellent, just one block from Copacabana, and just opposite to bus stops.
Staff is not caring, they will never talk to you when you enter or exit the hotel. The charge the use of safe! This is insane! Cleaning is on the surface. Breakfast is very low in quality and very few options. I am sure they were fully booked during the world cup but I would not book again this hotel.
Excellent location, 2 minute walk to the beach, staff very friendly and helpful
The location, staff and the hotel were great! 10 minute walk to copacabana beach and it's located in a busy street which is great if you need anything.
There was a major flooding that complety flooded the street of copacabana, specially in front of this hotel. It was disgusting! they need to fix or upgrade their sewage system! It smell like sewage the entire time.
Very helpful staff excellent command of English. Excellent location between Copacabana and Ipamena beach. Walking distance to Metro station, bus stop outside the hotel which will take you to most of the tourist attractions.
I had a room which faced the street so it would get a little noisy in the morning with traffic.
The breakfast was plentiful and fresh. The room was a good size and the position is great with lots of eateries around.
Desk staff on early morning checkout wasn't very helpful. We had to leave at 6 am and the breakfast doesn't start till 6am. Asking if we could grab a coffee & a snack on the run at 5.50 they couldn't do it even though all the food was just out but the door locked. Wasn't impressed.
this hotel is just about ok. Breakfast was very good and the location is excellent being only a few minutes walk to copacabana beach and ipanema beach. Room had a safe.
reception was poor - receptionist took ages to find room on computer and then gave us keys to a room already occupied - not sure if the receptionist and/or computer system was to blame. When we did get keys to correct room it smelled a bit but was ok after a day or so. I wasnt impressed and would only rate this a two to three star hotel. Shower was a bit grotty.
Close to Copacabana Beach and several decent bars and restaurants. Excellent choice for breakfast, particularly the selection of fresh fruit. Rooms fresh and clean.
Location is perfect between Copacabana and Ipanema. The staff speaks English and is very helpful
Staff were good and helpful overall. I and two friends stayed here during the World Cup. The hotel is a two star quality with temperamental Wi-Fi and average breakfast. The room was 90 percent taken up by the 3 beds placed in it and little room to move around. It is old and needs to be updated. Bathroom and shower were small and the toilet bowl was loose and mobile! The only thing the hotel has going for it is the location, right by the beach. Again, the staff are nice and helpful.
Great location, one block away from Copacabana, not too far from Ipanema. Good breakfast with several options. The rooms have a good size (except the bathroom). English and Spanish spoken. Cot/crib available. Twin beds are big and comfortable, even though we asked for and would have preferred a double bed.
The staff is helpful but a bit detached, the bathrooms need a reconstruction and maybe a fan.
Breakfast and the location
Price due to World Cup
excellent location 1 block from Copacabana Beach and a short walk to Ipenema Beach...comfortable rooms and beds...rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter...staff pleasant and accommodating...good breakfast
Internet WiFi connections are often poor in the rooms...had to switch rooms to get connection...sometimes had to work in hallway or public areas
The breakfast was extremely nice. The location was absolutely superb. Although the staff did not understand us, they did smile a lot and were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel for its fantastic location and really lovely breakfast.
The staff never remembered to give me wake-up calls when I requested it. The fact that virtually no English is spoken by the staff is a disgrace, especially in view of the Soccer World Cup.
Close to beach, close to market, very clean room, good breakfast, water aseptic and lot of creams, ,shampoos,. Every day my room was clean........
The staff is nice but never says `` hello, good morning, good evening, how do you do .............
The location, comfortable and spacious room, discretion and friendliness of staff, the remarkable price for this location in Rio where they all go crazy elsewhere...free internet, cleanliness, and good breakfast
Too loud for the rooms in the front (on the avenue of Nossa Senhora de Copacabana) , much too strong air conditioning in winter time inside the hotel
staff spoke english, one block from the beach, rooms were clean and great staff were very helpful no complaints ...would definitely recommend
The hotel is overall good, clean, very well located (just 2min walk to the beach) and with a good breakfast. The area is nice and safe.
I didn't find the receptionists too friendly or smiley. I asked for a taxi to the airport and they arranged a transfer which was not taxi, but maybe a company they have a business with and they told me is fixed price, 90 BRL. I asked why is it more than what I paid when I arrived (also fixed price, Aerocoop taxi, 65 BRL) and they blamed the traffic (which was not true, at that hour the city wasn't crowded). I also didn't have a safe feeling until I got to the airport. So my conclusion is that they are unprofessional as they didn't ask for a real taxi and also didn't warn me that is going to be a private car. This is a big negative point for a touristic area.
