Star: Coming from England and being a person born and raised in a 3rd
world country, I am used to all standards, but if I complain, then,
truly, it was awful. This hotel is at best 1 an a half star.
Customer Service: There are no customer services here, absolutely none. Or, if there is, then that is only when you hand over your card so the 10% charge can be charged of your card then the rest will be no English, frowning and even getting confrontational. They get really annoyed if you don't speak Portuguese and have a horrible sense of humour.
Language: Brazil not speak any other languages except Portuguese even though she's surrounded by Spanish speaking countries, Brazil expect them to speak Portuguese and not the other way round. Note fellow readers, this is a hotel, hosting international guests and not a word English is spoken, I mean, one word English, yet if you try to demonstrate with some English signs, they frown at you and give you attitude. If I say no word English is spoken, I mean no word and THAT IS NOT A JOKE!!! If English isn't spoken, then French, German, Italian etc are as good as lost.
Breakfast: Now, this is the biggest farce in the world, I really had to laugh just remembering the breakfast. Croissant harden and small like peanuts, funny looking breads and cacao and a funny type flask for hot water and a toaster that don't fully work if what you get everyday, January to December stuffed in an area so small, messy and again no English, it's your business if you don't understand Portuguese, horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I spent 16 nights here, after the 3rd day, I stopped going for breakfast as it was insulting to say the least.
Jacuzzi: You will see on the pics that they have a Jacuzzi, holly goodness, what a laugh!!! No one even gets close to that so call Jacuzzi which is inter-connected with the breakfast tiny little space.
I only liked Melo, one of the staffs and not because he spoke some
English, but because he was human and had the decency to really do his
job and look after guest as hotel staffs should. If you are ever here,
make Melo your point of contact or your holiday will be ruined!
