All services and location outstanding
I don't know why entry fee not included in the room rate.
We stayed here for two nights. Beautiful hotel situated inside the park. The staff, friendly and helpful. The service, was good. Tour to the Argentinian side of the waterfall can be arranged in the hotel itself. A little pricey, but you are picked up and dropped off at the hotel and you have a private vehicle with an English speaking guide. They will take care of everything at immigration when entering the Argentinian side, which we thought was so convenient as we don't speak the language. There is an automated teller where you can draw money at your convenience. It was lovely waking up in the morning and walking down to the falls before the crowd gets in. It was a wonderful experience.
They do not change Australian currency at the hotel. We arranged for transfer to the airport the day before, but it was not booked. The staff had forgotten to book it. We had to wait so long before they could get someone to send us to the airport. We made it just in time to board.
IMO, you have to stay at this hotel if viewing the falls. Everything was great, the food, the buffet is out of this world delicious, the bar service is top notch and the food there is great as well. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. We used the concierge for all our tours and feel confident we didn't get ripped off. No need to book tours before you arrive, they have everything there you could imagine. Touring the falls before and after the park closes is a huge plus. My daughter and I were the only ones on the trail and our pics were fabulous. We did tour Argentina and the lines were horrific and crowds not friendly.
The bed was a bit hard for my taste, however, I am sure they would have changed my mattress if I asked them to - that kind of hotel!
Location, location, location Before and after park hors access for guests is worth the price of one night by itself
Fantastic location, access to the falls, swimming pool
Ideal hotel for ideal holidays if you are not counting pennies.
Dinner buffet could be better
This was such a treat for us. A gorgeous hotel where we were made to feel very special by the staff and surrroundings. The rooms are beatiful and comfortable as is the pool and the service. We dined in the outdoor restaurant by the pool both nights, and the food and cocktails were superb. Also the transfers that are offered to the other facilities of the falls and the park are brilliant, informative and very reasonable for the service.
That we only had 2 nights here. We wished we could have stayed longer.
A very fine hotel with the advantage of being the only one in the Brazilian park. this meant that day-trippers had left in the early evening.
Location-location-location! attentive and friendly service
Everything about this hotel is delightful.
The excursions company weren't overly helpful but still friendly!
Location within the National Park area and overlooking Iguazu falls.
A la carte pool lunch time menu could be more varied.
The location outweighs any reservations anyone might have about this hotel: the exclusive access to the park after closing hours is a very strong point. Only here will you be able to get a close look at the falls without being run down by hordes of (other) tourists. In addition, the hotel is very well-run. The property is in immaculate condition and the staff is excellent.
The grill-restaurant, albeit good enough, is not able to compete with cheaper offsite options.
The location is unbeatable for viewing the falls and it is extremely advantageous to walk the trail before the crowds move in.
While the staff are sufficiently polite, they give the impression that they expect a tip even for showing the guest around the property and the various facilities. However, the service at poolside cafe/restaurant is generally good.
loation is the best
food in a resturant is poor
Great location next to the falls. Gives you the possibillity to see the falls when the park is not open. Great food in the hotel. If you hav ethe possibillity to stay there when you are in Foz de Iguassu it is worth while paying a bid extra
There was really nothing I did not like, or maybe the fact you seperately pay for the entrance of the park. Could have been included in the price of the hotel.
Access to the falls before and after the park is open/closed to visitors. The service, the food, the pool, the gym, the view, the breakfast buffet.
it all comes at a price
I do not want to repeat, I can only join all the positive reviews, the hotel is wonderful! I can not say that we have not encountered difficulties and misunderstandings, but they quickly resolved and friendly hotel staff. I want to express special thanks to Patrick Chan (front desk shift leader), he is a true professional.
Privacy to walk around the park!
Parking is too far away!
We've traveled a great deal over the years, and considering location, quality of hotel, amenities, staff, activities--this is the best hotel experience we've ever had. Outstanding!
If you're going to visit the Iguaçu falls (as everyone should), stay in this hotel if you can afford it. It is the only hotel inside the national park, which means you have 24/7 access to the falls. "Outsiders" can only visit the falls 9-5. The hotel is delightful, the restaurants are quite good.
Everything is really perfect, but it's not cheap, especially since you will probably have your meals in the hotel as well. Make sure you book your table for dinner if you're going to eat in the a la carte restaurant - it's capacity is limited.
The greatest virtue of this hotel is its location within the national park near to the falls. It is just fair to say that the hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable. However, despite its beauty we would never come back to the Belmond. The reason…
We had a bad experience during our stay entirely attributable to poor management. Even though I cannot get into details, what is important for this review is that all the faked and solemn kindness put on by the staff in the beginning became a ruthless indifference when the situation emerged. They did nothing to help solving the problem and cynically suggested us to look for external help. Next time we would try the Sheraton, in the Argentine side of the border, which is less expensive, has a gorgeous direct view to the falls from each room (which the Belmond does not have), and offers excellent food.
Location Location and Location early morning and evening walk to the fall Hotel facilities Breakfast Dinner Buffet
quite pricy but you paid for the price to be there, no complain.
-Location is spectacular - falls, wildlife, sunsets, access to additional activities all right in the Park - Beautifully maintained property, great pool and spa -Breakfast buffet selection is wonderful - a la carte meal was nice -Staff are very friendly and spoke English
- Only small detail was we did not understand the arrival process (separate entrance for hotel guests) in any of the communications in advance to enter the Park. Our arrival was fine but when we left to go to the Bird Sanctuary (which is right across the road by the way and worth a visit) the line up back in was huge. We did not know about the shuttle at the other gate
Everything! The park access before/after public opening hours is the best! The light is so much better early in the morning for seeing the falls and taking photos. After closing time all the birds, animals and insects appear, and of course you get the sunset right behind the falls! Public opening times do not cover sunrise or sunset.Transport is provided by the hotel to the Argentine side at around £60. There is an all-you-can eat buffet for dinner which is excellent.
Nothing apart from that its so easy to spend so much money!
Excellent unique location, great property, nice service, nice spa, excellent food, animals around property
