In the subtropical forest, just a 15-minute drive from Iguazu Falls, this luxury hotel features a spa, an outdoor pool, private Iguazu River access and suspended bridges. Wi-Fi is free in common...
Score from 464 reviews Excellent
Surrounded by lush garden and located 3 miles from the Iguaçu National Park, the 5-star Wish Resort Golf Convention Foz do Iguaçu provides easy access to Iguaçu Falls.
Score from 1243 reviews Wonderful
Located a quarter mile from the Iguaçu National Park entrance, the 4-star San Martin Resort & Spa invites you to enjoy its recreational activities and nature near the Iguaçu waterfalls.
Score from 837 reviews Very good
Strategically located inside Iguazu Park, Sheraton Iguazu features an outdoor pool and spa facilities. Some rooms have balconies with waterfall views. There is a restaurant, and a tennis court.
Score from 306 reviews Very good
Location within the National Park area and overlooking Iguazu falls.
A la carte pool lunch time menu could be more varied.
The location is unbeatable for viewing the falls and it is extremely advantageous to walk the trail before the crowds move in.
While the staff are sufficiently polite, they give the impression that they expect a tip even for showing the guest around the property and the various facilities. However, the service at poolside cafe/restaurant is generally good.
loation is the best
food in a resturant is poor
Great location next to the falls. Gives you the possibillity to see the falls when the park is not open. Great food in the hotel. If you hav ethe possibillity to stay there when you are in Foz de Iguassu it is worth while paying a bid extra
There was really nothing I did not like, or maybe the fact you seperately pay for the entrance of the park. Could have been included in the price of the hotel.
Access to the falls before and after the park is open/closed to visitors. The service, the food, the pool, the gym, the view, the breakfast buffet.
it all comes at a price
I do not want to repeat, I can only join all the positive reviews, the hotel is wonderful! I can not say that we have not encountered difficulties and misunderstandings, but they quickly resolved and friendly hotel staff. I want to express special thanks to Patrick Chan (front desk shift leader), he is a true professional.
Privacy to walk around the park!
Parking is too far away!
We've traveled a great deal over the years, and considering location, quality of hotel, amenities, staff, activities--this is the best hotel experience we've ever had. Outstanding!
If you're going to visit the Iguaçu falls (as everyone should), stay in this hotel if you can afford it. It is the only hotel inside the national park, which means you have 24/7 access to the falls. "Outsiders" can only visit the falls 9-5. The hotel is delightful, the restaurants are quite good.
Everything is really perfect, but it's not cheap, especially since you will probably have your meals in the hotel as well. Make sure you book your table for dinner if you're going to eat in the a la carte restaurant - it's capacity is limited.
The greatest virtue of this hotel is its location within the national park near to the falls. It is just fair to say that the hotel itself is beautiful and comfortable. However, despite its beauty we would never come back to the Belmond. The reason…
We had a bad experience during our stay entirely attributable to poor management. Even though I cannot get into details, what is important for this review is that all the faked and solemn kindness put on by the staff in the beginning became a ruthless indifference when the situation emerged. They did nothing to help solving the problem and cynically suggested us to look for external help. Next time we would try the Sheraton, in the Argentine side of the border, which is less expensive, has a gorgeous direct view to the falls from each room (which the Belmond does not have), and offers excellent food.
Location Location and Location early morning and evening walk to the fall Hotel facilities Breakfast Dinner Buffet
quite pricy but you paid for the price to be there, no complain.
-Location is spectacular - falls, wildlife, sunsets, access to additional activities all right in the Park - Beautifully maintained property, great pool and spa -Breakfast buffet selection is wonderful - a la carte meal was nice -Staff are very friendly and spoke English
- Only small detail was we did not understand the arrival process (separate entrance for hotel guests) in any of the communications in advance to enter the Park. Our arrival was fine but when we left to go to the Bird Sanctuary (which is right across the road by the way and worth a visit) the line up back in was huge. We did not know about the shuttle at the other gate
Everything! The park access before/after public opening hours is the best! The light is so much better early in the morning for seeing the falls and taking photos. After closing time all the birds, animals and insects appear, and of course you get the sunset right behind the falls! Public opening times do not cover sunrise or sunset.Transport is provided by the hotel to the Argentine side at around £60. There is an all-you-can eat buffet for dinner which is excellent.
Nothing apart from that its so easy to spend so much money!
Excellent unique location, great property, nice service, nice spa, excellent food, animals around property
The hotel is one of the world's top hotels with comfort, service and cuisine to match. Its location could hardly be bettered for sight of the falls. Definitely the place to stay for the Falls, but watch the billing for all the extras!
The staff made a number of serious errors over the billing which, had we not assiduously checked the receipts we would have resulted in considerable overcharging (£100), nevertheless once the errors had been pointed out, the errors were dealt with politely and expeditiously, and the company went out of their way to make amends, recognising the personal anxiety and stress that such errors caused.
Excellent service. Wonderful location, making most of location.
Very small room for 5 star resort.
Being able to walk though the park completely alone early in the morning and at sunset. The a la cart restaurant also very good, we had a great dinner there!
The hotel itself is a tourist destination. The building structure and its architecture is reminiscent of the grandeur of the past. The people provided me with excellent service helped me with my concerns to the details. Being located inside the Iguacu Falls park, guest has access to the falls 24hrs a day and can enjoy the majestic falls even before the crowd arrives.
The dinner buffet meat/churascarias can be better. They can emulate Fogo de Chao or Porcao.
Location is unbeatable for the falls. Nature lovers paradise. Hotel and staff are among the best we have encountered anywhere. Once in a lifetime experience
Quite expensive but worth it as most people only stay one or two nights
Location couldn't be better, the only hotel inside the Cataratas do Iguaçu park, you can look at the google maps and see the property just besides the cataratas. The staff is excellent and extremely polite. The requests are answered very fast and they always deliver their promises. The park is also absolutely impeccable and doesn't fall short for any international attraction that I have known so far The breakfast is included and was also excellent with all sorts of options you can imagine and they even included a sparkling wine.
The price of the meals in the restaurants were very expensive. Be prepared to spend USD200 in a meal in two with the cheapest bottle of wine in the hotel's restaurants, the food was good but not exceptional to cost as much. Having dinner in the city is a lot cheaper but you'll need to consider spending around USD40 for the taxi roundtrip.
Location and service was excellent, is nice to have the freedom to visit the waterfalls every time and at any time you want without any rush, the sunset is breath taking
Tables and meals by the pool
Location, location, location, you are right next to the falls. You can go and get wet come back to your room change into dry clothes and have the wet ones dried (for free) for you. Your inside the park, so you can be early to or late to leave the falls. There are options for you to eat at within the hotel, also options to sit and relax areas. Great bell tower for afternoon sunset photos. And the staff I found to be so very helpful. Yes it is pricey but I thought well worth it.
I could only stay one night due to airlines changing their flights.
The location was superb. Guests had access to the falls outside of park hours. Listening to the water falling was soothing and awe inspiring. The gym, pool, restaurants and hotel grounds were very well maintained. How would you like a cold refreshing facecloth periodically while sunbathing? Services provided were very courteous and focused on pleasing guests. I really liked that the cost of activities was less expensive if booked at the hotel and private transportation was included. The rooms weren't completely soundproof, but sounds, if any, were well muffled. The EcoTour was fantastic but do take bug spray for reapplication after the kayak... you will need it! And if you want to get up close to parrots and anacondas, then do visit the Bird Park.
The bugs could be bothersome, so do use bug spray as most times you cannot feel them feasting, especially around the ankles. I didn't care for the bottled water because I think it is such a waste. Tap water was perfectly safe to drink but it was not offered at the restaurants.
