The location close to the falls is perfect!! From the hotel you can see the falls. Breakfast is very good! Nice room! Good service!

At the time we have been there, there was An event in font of the hotel, quite noisy and strange types in the hotel. The a la carte restaurant has no ambiance and quite expensive. Lot of helicopters flew over the falls, hotel and swimmingpool. This was really very noisy!

A fantastic colonial type hotel you would expect from the orient express. Although I would say that this is probably the best I have stayed in.

The views of the falls are exceptional

We were customers 1978 to 1994 to visit customers in Cidade del Este before Brazil became na open Market. Now the hotel is wonderful and there was inly one real complaint; We had a lixury room overlooking the Falls but the bathroom planning were very poor. Whereas before we Always had a large shower and no bath. Now there was a small narrow bath with a shower abovei it which was very narrow and most unsuitable. The shower cutain was a mini and you had to take great care to avoid slipping the wayinto the shower was very tight and very difficult for me with a titanium hip. I brought this to their attention before I left. The Tour organisers were superb and we had a 20 yr old chauffeur guide all the time Jefferson was exceptional exceptional

Stunning location, unbelievably close to the falls. Rooms beautiful, big, comfortable and very quiet. Lovely pool right beside the restaurant & terrace. Food delicious with great choice. Best part was being able to walk in the park & see the falls in the early morning sunshine without any other tourists being around. Would definitely recommend staying here. Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all the local services.

Beautiful property, friendly staff and excellent location! We loved everything about it except for it's hefty price and the size of the rooms, which is expected of an Orient Express property.

The rooms are small.

Setting is unique. Bell boys very friendly, gentle and efficient. You need to be here to live Falls, quite, nature and park: at night you can do by your own a walk under the moon till cataratas. But if you are looking for movida......go to other hotel. The most expensive of Iguassu'. The could do better with comfort in the rooms: coffe maker, tea, iron table....like usa hotel 4* standard and this is supposed to have 5*. Thanks for be our host

Superb luxury hotel inside National Park

Let's be clear. This is supposed to be a luxury hotel and it is definitely a luxury hotel. I have never seen such a perfect service. The personnel is just wonderful, always smily, trying to do everything they can to satisfy your needs. The room is made up twice a day (in the morning when you have breakfast and once again in the evening when you have dinner). The rooms are really nice, with a nice bathroom as well. The swimming pool is really nice and here again the service is great (they bring you refreshments and perfumed wet towels when it is too hot). Breakfast is great and restaurant very nice. But the real thing about this hotel is its location : right next to the falls! You can come in the morning or at sunset and enjoy the place just for yourselves with no one around....

It hurt a bit my wallet but hey, it was definitely worth it!!

Location was superb- rooms quite but little small

No tea or coffe in room- ordered taxi with 2 people at gate no taxi for us & another passé near- shuttle had to take us at 4 am! Would of missed flight

This hotel is situated in the park itself and very close to the falls, you can enjoy a great view from your room, you can have a walk along the falls in the evening, when there is no turists there, nobody will disturb you, you can take great pictures without a crowd of people and just feel a pleasure of the moment much deeper. Because of location in the protected zone there are a lot of wild animals around you, you can just feed nasua with some bread during your breakfast or watch some wild boar crossing the road, it is something really unusual and authentic. That is doubtless the best hotel in the area. Excursion agents in the hotel are great, they are ready to provide you with all information about leisure possibilities in the area. And a little tip: it's great to visit bird bark which is situated on the way to the hotel from the airport. Birds there are amazing.

Beginning from the gate to the protected area speed limit is around 40 km per hour because of the animals which coud be crossing the road and there is still a long distance between gate and hotel, so it can be really annoying to drive so slow, it can take around 20 minutes just to get there. And you have to be ready to change your clothes all day long, because it's so wet in the park because of the falls :) But it's worth it, of course.

- Lots of mosqetos and hotel should do something... Like providing anti insects spray, insect catching machine... etc.,. - Hotel's guests should't pay a fee for the park access since the hotel inside the park.

The hotel is magnificent, far and away the smartest and most professional place we stayed in throughout all of Brazil. It's worth pushing the boat out and staying at least one night here if planning a trip to the Brazilian side of the falls, as guests get the park to themselves from closing time and you get to enjoy the sunset over the far side of the falls. Some interesting birds come out at night, too.

Nothing. But don't miss the Argentinian side of the falls- you haven't seen Iguazu until you get close-up to the Devil's throat...

Beautiful surroundings.

This is a beautiful hotel which has the best position for a trip to the Brazillian side of the falls. Well worth the money for the food, luxury and convenience.

Staff were exceptionally good, meticulous and well-informed. Pool was pristine, delightful. Food was delicious and too abundant. Anderson, our nature walk guide was quite good,as was Fabio, who greeted us kindly despite our arrival with back packs having taken the city bus.

Not really. Great for first or 50th honeymoon!

The location is unbeatable. Private and direct access to the falls is priceless. We even had a view over the Falls from our bedroom. Great food, luxurious accommodation, lots of character and super friendly staff. If you can afford it, go for it!

Firstly, it was a memory from home! The Mount Nelson which is also a hotel in your group is very similar to your hotel - even the pink paint on the outside! The Nellie as it is fondly called has been one of the best hotels over many, many years. In fact I celebrated graduating from University at a luncheon there. Your hotel's decor and appoinment were superb and made us feel totally relaxed. I also asked for a vegan meal and there were excellently prepared. But the view cannot be competed with. Cinemascope never looked this great! A totally stunning location, hotel and service. Who could ask for anything more? So many, many thanks for a magnificent stay. Marda DeWet

Access to the falls before the crowd arrives, which meant we get to enjoy the awesome views at sun-rise by ourselves. Service is excellent. Free drying service. Nice buffet dinner (chargeable).

Air Condition did not work-things can happen, but no compensation in any form-free drinks, food, chocolade, letter...etc. . Wrong information for the restaurant-we ended up eating room service. The hotel is exeptional nice and the pool staff is world class-thank you(-:

This was one of my favorite hotels in the world. They get it right: warm professional hosts mixed with historic charm in an impeccably maintained property within the National Park. On par with The Imperial in New Delhi, The Peninsula in Hong Kong, American Colony in Jerusalem. I could go on & on... Worth the splurge just to have the waterfall to yourself when the park is closed.
