Huge comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast with great choice.

Dinner in the restaurant was uninspired and definitely not hot.

I could here the noise from the local bars until 4 am. My bathroom wasn't luxurious and neither were the shampoos etc

they changed me to a new room when I was unhappy with the old one I was first given.

Had booked double and received twin without explanation. Reception staff arrogant, unfriendly and ignored you frequently! Very poor standard of care, worst experience of 3 different hotels during trip.

Rooms are not as nice as they look on pictures. Noisy air conditioning.

I liked the location which is very close to Ipanema beach with some views from the hotel. It was also central to the Ipanema shopping and restaurant district. The breakfasts were supurb. Good service for beach access with their own beachside chairs,umbrellas and service.

The hotel rooms are a bit tired and in need of an update. English is not spoken very widely by staff other than reception.

Reception staff spoke good English and were courteous and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and varied.

No complaints about anything

I was a bit worried, after reading some negative reviews here, but the hotel was actually quite good, for Rio standards at least. The standard room I had needed some redecorating for sure, but it was very spacious and had a fantastic city view. I was up on the 18th floor, so it was not noisy at all, but it might be more for the lower floors. The staff was very polite and helpful, apart from one lady in the reception that could have been a bit nicer, but the rest of the receptionists, porters and waiters were absolutely great. The restaurant and pool upstairs had a wonderful 360 degrees view around the city. Breakfast was really tasty, with lots of fresh fruit. The location is excellent, very close to the beach in Ipanema, in a lovely area with lots of shops and restaurants nearby.

Wireless connection was fairly weak, and I had to log back in many times. The pool is a bit too small, for the number of people using it. It's overal a very expensive hotel, for the facilities that it offers, but this is something that happens everywhere in Rio. Last year I stayed at a worse place in Copacabana for the same amount of money, so cannot fault this hotel in particular, it's just the prices in Rio are absurdly high, while their standards are quite low.

Very good restaurant on top floor with nice view and excelent food. Comfortable beds. Friendly staff.

Hotel driver was supposed to wait for us during the visit of Corcovado but he left probably with other client and was not back on time to pick us up. We had troubles to find the transport back to hotel . The price of room was extremely high compare with the same quality hotels around.

Location was great, rooftop pool and view amazing.

Laundry service was ridiculously expensive and clothes were not returned clean.

we got a renovated room, which is great. however upon check in the entire room floor has not been cleaned, walked about in room for few minutes and got sand and black feet. Asked for it to be re-cleaned and it wasn't done properly. They left out some sections unvacuumed (visible because can see hair etc). In the 4 days I stayed there, the shower is never cleaned because the hairs left on the drain-stopper is perpetually there since day 2 until we checked out.

Staff was very helpfull and friendly, facilities is well kept and clean. Room was very nice, beds in good condition and amnities was clean. Very comfortable!

The swimmingpool, restaurant and bar area was a bit disappionting. The restaurant lacked a bit of atmoshphere, and the pool area to small, not enough space for all the guests. The bar operating out of coolerboxes, not very professional

The view and the location is nice

Terrible rooms! Compare to their website, the rooms look terrible. We were a group of people and I saw 3 rooms, all of the bathrooms are a lot under average, has not been renovated for 20 years, sink and toilet are in terrible conditions, shower cabin is small and dark. I felt dirty in the bathroom, tiles are falling down. Also electric cables hanging around the beds, lighting in the rooms also very poor. The windows are dangerous if you open them, coz they open from the height of your knee, a kid could easily fall out!!! The swimming pool on the roof is far away how it looks in real life, really big dissapointment, we were disgust from it. Phone did not work properly in the room. Compare to the price this hotel is really over priced! I would not go again. It felt like a 2 stars hotel in Europe from the 70s.
