staff were helpful.rooms were clean and breakfast was good
I liked the breakfast and the kindness of the staff. The hotel is located a block away from Catete metro station, so it's cheap to move in Rio. The neighborhood is also nice an quiet.
My bed was too short for me (I am about 1.89m) Wi-fi was poor, but at least I could connect most of the time All seemed to be old, but no I got no problem from that
Excellent location for not being Copacabana --close to the metro, stores, banks, and restaurants. Walking distance to Lapa. Across from a beautiful beach and park, and we had a great view of Sugar Loaf! The cleaning staff was really good and helpful. Front desk was helpful if not always friendly, and they all spoke good English.
The wifi was a bit spotty, and the beds were hard and uncomfortable. The hotel and its rooms were dated and a bit tired. In the bathroom, there is little space for your toiletries.
The location, near all the major attractions, great view of sugar loaf mountain, the beautiful Flamengo beach. The staff were so friendly and accommodating to all our requests.
The major road outside, a bit noisy at times, when trying to get to sleep.
The location is excellent and food was good. Rooms are comfortable
We booked a room with garden view. We thought it was the front side. But we were allotted a back side room with no garden view.
very noisy you cant sleep well , not allowed guests !! , WiFi is very bad, breakfast is poor
- Relation value for money. It was very expensive.
Nice location with an incredible view of Sugar Cone, solid breakfast, clean hotel and friendly staff. It definitely exceeded my expectations of a 3 star hotel in Rio.
It's a bit noisy due to the highway and sport fields close by.
Fantastic location, close to metro, beach, shops etc. A bit quieter than copacabana but within easy reach. Pretty good breakfast too.
It's close to a lot of attractions and the place was very clean.
Staff could be more friendlier.
Room was a nice size, very clean and well looked after. The bathroom was also excellent. Some staff also spoke English which helped a lot, they even recommended places to visit and things to do. Location was good. right by Flamengo beach and walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Copacabana is a short train ride away and Lapa with all its clubs and pubs is 10 minutes by cab.
The cooked Breakfast was not that great. It was scrambled eggs and some Vienna sausage sauce.
Not much, they were ok at cleaning the rooms every day however I would have expected that from any hotel. It is close to the metro though
The staff was very rude at times....almost impossible to communicate in some situations They take you room key any time you enter or leave the hotel which is the oddest thing that I have ever seen. There is only one free plug in the room so be prepared to share. My opinion it's barely making it into the hotel range
Big difference in rooms
Everything was really good. Facilities very clean. Good breakfast. I even had a problem with a package delivery, and they were very helpful.
Wifi didn't work in my floor. I had to go to the lobby or sit nearby my room's door in other to connect to the lobby's wifi network. There is no free parking. You either have to wait to get one free parking slot right outside of the hotel -which was difficult- or pay a expensive parking lot in other building. They don't give you shampoo.
Nothing, had to find an accomodation for days during the World Cup and all ohter hotels were fully booked or with rip-off prices.
Hotel is old, last time it was refurbished was probabily in the 70's. The beach isn't so close as they say and in any case you can't swim there because of pollution. The Breakfast is limited and waiters aren't willing to help.
Did not like anything nothing positive to say don't ever stay at this place people are rude and very very poor customer service the worst ever experienced in all my travels. Entered our room even though the do not enter sign was posted. Then to have the owner lie and justify entering and touching our bags. Felt Very unsafe and disrespected
Like I said overall the people are rude you can't ever take up a friend to your room they will chop your hand off very crazy people and by the way nobody speaks English good luck hotel flamengo palace. In addition would not give us towels when requested.
Location/close to metro, great view, clean rooms and comfy bed
The staff spoke no English which makes even basic communication a bit complicated.
Everything was excellent
My family couldnt stay more than half hour in my room after 14 years without seen them i told the manager he have me only half bour if i knew that i woldnt stay.
Great location. Beautiful view. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good breakfast. Within walking distance to the metro.
Very hard bed. No one on the staff spoke English. Wireless service was intermittent and difficult to connect to. Way too expensive for the amenities.
staff extremely helpful
No foreign station on cable. Limited choice on restaurant menu.
I liked the portiers - that are there around the clock and even when been woken up at 4:30 in the morning have a smile on their face
The breakfast set up. There was one guy being ask to do everything - fill the buffet, clean the table, set up new tables for hords of guest. Simply too much!
Location, bed, shower, view
They couldn't provide a city map Noise from the street and more important from the airplanes
No Free TV. The members of staff didn't speak other language than Portuguese.
