Hotel Florença Iguaçu  

The hotel and rooms were spacious. The double room had 2 double beds. Extra blankets were provided swiftly on request.Staff were helpful. Interesting reasonably priced but limited menu with ample portions. Very good for a few days. Very good position for visiting Iguacu Falls (Brazilian side) and the Bird Park. Tourist visits can be booked at the hotel with an adviser who speaks English. A visit to the Argentine side of the falls can easily be aranged with a guide who also takes care of the complicated passport control at the border. Close to the airport. Lovely swimming pool and other outdoor and indoor activities.For a brief stay to do the sights at reasonable cost, this is a good choice.

Some times the desk staff who speak some English think they have understood you. Make sure everything is clear! Eg when you book a taxi, use 24 hr clock. A request for a taxi at 5 pm resulted in an early wake up call to say the taxi was waiting at 5 am! Restaurant staff tried to be helpful but had little or no English which led to confusion on several occasions. Being Brazil the language is Portuguese but some knowledge of Spanish was useful. Restaurant staff did not seem aware of the convention to serve red wine at room temperature and white wine chilled. We got the reverse!

This hotel is a good value in terms of location, staff, amenities, and extra's like free wifi and breakfast. It offers everything you need as a home base for visits to the Iguasu falls and city with great convenience.

I don't have any real complaints, but little things should be addressed sooner or later; for example; newer and more towels in the rooms, room coffee makers, resurface the tennis court; have staff study a little more English (tho to be fair, we should have known more their language). But I imagine that if they were to take care of all the little things they would have to charge more. I fine with paying a little less for the Shabby-Chic of the place, so would return with no problem.

Hotel staff very friendly. Good breakfast included. Nice, clean room with good bed.

Hot water missing sometimes. Bed-sheetings and towels a bit old.

Location close to airport and Iguazu Falls, both easily accessible by local bus or taxi. Layout of hotel very good. The building fits in well with pleasant surroundings. Food (dinner & breakfast) was good and reasonably priced. Room rate was also reasonable for hotel of this standard. Reception desk staff very helpful, particularly a young lady (forgotten name) who spoke good English.

Staff was Friendly and very helpful. Food was good, breakfast included. Great pool... Comfy room.

The hotel is very noisy, which made the room quite noisy.

The place is wonderful at a very affordable price. It as every thing for children and older to enjoy the place. Food is very good and specially the straberry milkshake with or without alcool by the pool or tenis court. Just next to the children playground and water slide. Even pool,tenis and baby foot table and indoor child game room for rainny day. And the bus stop just in front to go in 5 min to airport or falls or a bit more to Itaipu or downtown.

The tour provider located in the lobby is a bit of a rip off. Execpt to go to the Argentinian side of the falls you do not need it. Just do every thing by bus it is easy and safe.

The staff was very friendly. The location for seeing the Falls is excellent. It is outside of town, but there is not much to see in town anyways. The restaurant was good, breakfast, which is included, was very nice, and we could be to the Brazilian falls and Bird park in about 5 minutes. My children also enjoyed the pool and playground.

Great location if you have a car. Easy access to the parks.

Muy buena atencion, nos sentimos muy comodos en la habitacion. Las instalaciones del hotel son excelentes, sobretodo si se va en temporada de verano. El desayuno es muy completo.

La unica observacion seria mejorar la señal de cable de TV.

O Hotel tem uma recepção muito grande e com vários sofás que permitem ter um ambiente de integração muito bom. As piscinas boas. O serviço da cozinha é rápido. A área de lazer externa é boa. A localização perto das principais atrações também é boa, com um ônibus na porta que pode levar a preços reduzidos a muitos locais interessantes. Se você vier de carro melhor ainda.

O hotel é antigo, mas reformado recentemente aparentemente. Não existe nenhum isolamento acústico nos quartos, isto é, quando as pessoas conversam no quarto ao lado, ou corredor é o mesmo que estar dentro do seu quarto, sem contar o chuveiro, televisão e descargas dos aptos vizinhos. Uma porta no corredor entre o quarto e banheiro poderia melhorar e muito o problema.Em que pese as piscinas serem grandes somente devem ser usados no verão pois são externas e sem aquecimento. A área de recreação das crianças é pequena e sem muitos atrativos. As salas de jogos, snooker e ping pong, são impraticáveis. Fiquei sabendo que o hotel é classificado como 4 estrelas. Seguramente é um 3 estrelas com muito esforço, no entanto, se a relação custo/benefício for boa é um hotel a ser recomendado.
