Hotel Florença Iguaçu  

The hotel and rooms were spacious. The double room had 2 double beds. Extra blankets were provided swiftly on request.Staff were helpful. Interesting reasonably priced but limited menu with ample portions. Very good for a few days. Very good position for visiting Iguacu Falls (Brazilian side) and the Bird Park. Tourist visits can be booked at the hotel with an adviser who speaks English. A visit to the Argentine side of the falls can easily be aranged with a guide who also takes care of the complicated passport control at the border. Close to the airport. Lovely swimming pool and other outdoor and indoor activities.For a brief stay to do the sights at reasonable cost, this is a good choice.

Some times the desk staff who speak some English think they have understood you. Make sure everything is clear! Eg when you book a taxi, use 24 hr clock. A request for a taxi at 5 pm resulted in an early wake up call to say the taxi was waiting at 5 am! Restaurant staff tried to be helpful but had little or no English which led to confusion on several occasions. Being Brazil the language is Portuguese but some knowledge of Spanish was useful. Restaurant staff did not seem aware of the convention to serve red wine at room temperature and white wine chilled. We got the reverse!

Good location between the falls and the city. Bus stop is right outside the hotel, which is convenient in getting to both places. Contrary to a previous review, we found the internal travel agent to be most helpful and reasonably priced. He provided maps, ideas on what to do and in what timeframes etc.

The hotel does need some updating, however was still clean and comfortable.

The place is wonderful at a very affordable price. It as every thing for children and older to enjoy the place. Food is very good and specially the straberry milkshake with or without alcool by the pool or tenis court. Just next to the children playground and water slide. Even pool,tenis and baby foot table and indoor child game room for rainny day. And the bus stop just in front to go in 5 min to airport or falls or a bit more to Itaipu or downtown.

The tour provider located in the lobby is a bit of a rip off. Execpt to go to the Argentinian side of the falls you do not need it. Just do every thing by bus it is easy and safe.

Not all the rooms can get wireless Internet, ask when you check in.

The hotel was extreemly good value ,very clean ,bedrooms spacious and very comfortable,the staff could not have been more accommodating,good play area for children,superb buffet breakfast included in the price,and of course just down the road from the world class Iguacu waterfalls.

Gostei muito do hotel, da tranquilidade, da limpeza, da boa receptividade dos funcionários e do excelente café da manhã.

Sugiro que nas refeições, esclareça-se mais sobre a quantidade, pois ali era porção individual, no entanto daria para duas pessoas perfeitamente, com talvez alguma complementação conforme o apetite de cada um. Na próxima já pediremos somente uma porção, assim o preço ficará super acessível e não haverá desperdício de comida e dinheiro.

Atendimento excelente, otima localizacao, quartos limpos, com ar condicionado split, TV LCD de 32", 2 camas de casal, closet, recomendo a todos que queiram um bom hotel em Foz do Iguaçu. O unico aviso é para quem nao conhece foz, todos os bons hoteis em foz ficam na rodovia, portanto fora da cidade de foz alguns poucos km (+- 5km), entao é bom ter carro alugado ou transporte disponivel.

Hotel agradável, com ótimo atendimento, local camo e tranquilo ideal para relaxar.

Os funcionários são muito educado e eficientes, a estrutura do hotel é excelente e os preços são muito justos
