Air Con leaked water onto the unit below. Fridge had no socket to plug into. Walls so thin that you could here conversations in the next room. When you opened bathroom door it covered the light switch so you could not put light on. Shower had only 2 heats - Volcanic and tepid. Breakfast was served in reception?! The toilet was so small if you sat on the pan your knees hit the wall. Wifi was unreliable unless you were in the hallway. Pricing was ridiculous even for World Cup season. Matress was wipe down leatherette. Do not stay here unless your desperate.
Toilet flooded. Shower was cold only. Air con set to 17 degrees C could not be changed so room was like a fridge locker. No free water supplied. Bunk bed was dangerous above other bed. place smelled of wet paint. rooms were beyond small, really tiny incredible.
Location was pretty good
They didn't clean my room (stayed two nights). There were several mosquitos in the room both days.
The location near the opera house was nice, we were able to walk there from the hotel. The staff were accommodating but very little English was spoken so it made communications harder but they were able to set up a tour for us, give us directions and get us taxis
The rooms were small for the number of people we had but we knew that when we booked it.
The WIFI was actually pretty reliable for the most part. There was a bed to sleep on and a shower to take a shower. The shower actually had hot water too. More of a hostel setting than an actual "hotel." I believe there are only actually 16 rooms in the entire place. Felt pretty secure though for being downtown. They had a buzzer system that only allowed guests to enter.
The staff spoke 0 English. I understand you are coming into their country, but this is the World Cup. They should have at least 1 person that could speak some English. I learned some Portuguese for the trip, but it was still hard to communicate. The rooms were tiny, but adequate. We didn't spend much time there but to really sleep and shower. We actually left a day early from the hotel and spent our last night in a luxury hotel in Ponta Negra.
On the whole, staff were friendly & helpful. Good atmosphere because of World Cup. Hotel fairly clean and daily cleaning was good. Meeting service at airport worked well.
Rooms quite small and facilities fairly basic. Location close to centre of town. At night, you should probably stick to main roads in the area. Wi-Fi very intermittent.
Staff is nice and helpful Very clean and comfortable
No english Frugal breakfast
Price was good and inside oh hotel is good for the money.
Location feels unsafe at night, even though I lack the local knowledge to say if it is true. Staff could be more friendly
stone's throw away from teatro amazonas, unmistakably one of manaus' distinct landmarks. patricia & colleagues were very helpful about arranging out-of-town trips, like the amazon river cruise, tribal village visit, & swimming with the pink dolphins. I suggest you take advantage of these, as they're all worth every penny. in a quiet corner. you need to ring the bell before entering. manaura mall is a short 15-minute taxi ride away. go see it.
staff do not speak English. I get by via my Spanish, & we seemed to understand each other well. breakfast was simple. I had to request for some scrambled eggs ("ovos," in Portuguese).
-Staff spoke only portuguese -Air conditioner could only be controlled by staff -Breakfast was pretty poor
