The helpfullness and friendliness of the staff. Good pea soup (Sopa ervilha). Cold beer

Cramped room and bath room. Old linen. Not so good breakfast. Less than average meals. The hotel would have been a fair choice at a max of BR$ 200/day. It is over priced at the close to BR$400/day.

Well located

No hair-dryer. No electric adaptor for foreign equipments. When I arrived, the television was out of order (it was mended afterwards).

Gaivota is a exellent hotel a it has a great location.

The price is a little bit high could be less because the hotel has small rooms

The staff were friendly and helpful. It was easy to get taxis. It is a quiet position.

If you are a English speaking tourist it's not a very practical hotel. It's half an hour away from the city centre and as much as the staff are friendly they are unable to help with tourist information as they don't speak English.

The break fast is very poor . Also , the carpark is terrible , we do not have place to park , and if you do , they charge 18 reais per day above the room fee , which is very expensive for what they offer

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel and had a very enjoyable stay for a week on a business trip. My 'single' room had a large double bed and plenty of living space, very comfortable and perfect for my needs. The wifi had a far better connection that I expected and apparently better than some hotels closeby according to my colleagues. The english speaking reception staff were incredibly helpful and the breakfast buffet very reasonable with plenty of options. The hotel is under a 5 minute walk to the beach and has a nice little park outside perfect for those wanting a slightly less public place to exercise!

Was a shame they didn't have a fitness center, but there was a small park outside I jogged around and of course the beach is only a few minutes away.

The location, though set-back from the beach, was OK. Staff were friendly and helpfull as far a possible. though communication was difficult as not spoke much English

Linen and towels in the rooms were threadbare - not what we expected. The price was expensive for what we got, though I think that all accom in Rio is frightfully over-priced for what you get throughout the city.

That hot water supply was unstable and interrupring, that one elevetor was down for the week and the other one one day no internal lights I was there, that there is no noise insulation , that there are no bedside lights, that there are no telephone operating instructions and the list goes on and on

Everything was good

Room was smaller than expected, but still fit 2 people well. Hotel staff was very accommodating, and only had minimal communication problems as an English speaking traveler.

O ultimo andar, 502 (?) divide parede com a rede hidraulica da descarga dos demais andares. O barulho é constante e incomoda no sono. O estacionamento deveria ser gratuito, como era, pois não e coberto e o piso é de terra batida.

Localização e custo Tem uma praça para crianças na frente do Hotel e muito perto da Praia

é um Hotel simples e tranquilo. óTima opção para quem quer ficar na Barra, mas não é bom para quem quer conhecer o Rio. Eles não cobraram o valor correto na estadia. Só vi depois que sai. Se for de carro, estacione na rua.

Boa localização, próximo a muitos restaurantes, a praia, e principalmente ao meu local de negócios.

O ar condicionado so funcionava quando dava um "tranco" com o dedo, estava com a ventoinha quebrada por falta de manutenção, os filtros estavam imundos de poeira, por isso nao funcionava ao ligar. O banheiro ficou sem água justo no dia de minha estadia, e depois de fazer as necessidades nao deu pra dar a descarga, e nem me avisaram antecipadamente sobre esse problema. Fiquei no apto 508 so por uma noite e aconteceu tudo isso.

Hotel simples e prático. Quartos reformados, não tinha cheiro de mofo ou maresias.

Preço muito alto para o padrão do Hotel, prática comum no Rio de Janeiro. Ar condicionado estava muito sujo.
